Quantum Chiral Superfields

We define the ordinary Minkowski space inside the conformal space according to Penrose and Manin as homogeneous spaces for the Poincaré and conformal group respectively. We realize the supersymmetric (SUSY) generalizations of such homogeneous spaces over the complex and the real fields. We finally investigate chiral (antichiral) superfields, which are superfields on the super Grassmannian, Gr(2|1, 4|1), respectively on Gr(2|0, 4|1). They ultimately give the twistor coordinates necessary to describe the conformal superspace as the flag Fl(2|0, 2|1; 4|1) and the Minkowski superspace as its big cell.

Real forms of complex Lie superalgebras and supergroups

We investigate the notion of real form of complex Lie superalgebras and supergroups, both in the standard and graded version. Our functorial approach allows most naturally to go from the superalgebra to the supergroup and retrieve the real forms as fixed points, as in the ordinary setting. We also introduce a more general notion of compact real form for Lie superalgebras and supergroups, and we prove some existence results for Lie superalgebras that are simple contragredient and their associated connected simply connected supergroups.

Quantum supertwistors

In this paper we give an explicit expression for a star product on the super Minkowski space written in the supertwistor formalism. The big cell of the super Grassmannian Gr(2|0, 4|1) is identified with the chiral, super Minkowki space. The super Grassmannian is an homogeneous space under the action of the complexification SL(4|1) of SU(2,2|1), the superconformal group in dimension 4, signature (1,3) and supersymmetry N=1. The quantization is done by substituting the groups and homogeneous spaces by their quantum deformed counterparts. The calculations are done in Manin's formalism. When we restrict to the big cell we can compute explicitly an expression for the super star product in the Minkowski superspace associated to this deformation and the choice of a certain basis of monomials.

Model-centric Data Manifold: the Data Through the Eyes of the Model

We discover that deep ReLU neural network classifiers can see a low-dimensional Riemannian manifold structure on data. Such structure comes via the local data matrix, a variation of the Fisher information matrix, where the role of the model parameters is taken by the data variables. We obtain a foliation of the data domain and we show that the dataset on which the model is trained lies on a leaf, the data leaf, whose dimension is bounded by the number of classification labels. We validate our results with some experiments with the MNIST dataset: paths on the data leaf connect valid images, while other leaves cover noisy images.

Quantum principal bundles on projective bases

The purpose of this paper is to propose a sheaf theoretic approach to the theory of quantum principal bundles over non affine bases. We study the quantization of principal bundles G -> G/P, where G is a semisimple group and P a parabolic subgroup.

Quantum Klein Space and Superspace

We give an algebraic quantization, in the sense of quantum groups, of the complex Minkowski space, and we examine the real forms corresponding to the signatures $(3,1)$, $(2,2)$, $(4,0)$, constructing the corresponding quantum metrics and providing an explicit presentation of the quantized coordinate algebras. In particular, we focus on the Kleinian signature $(2,2)$. The quantizations of the complex and real spaces come together with a coaction of the quantizations of the respective symmetry groups. We also extend such quantizations to the $\mathcal{N}=1$ supersetting.

Klein and Conformal Superspaces, Split Algebras and Spinor Orbits

We discuss $\mathcal{N}=1$ Klein and Klein-Conformal superspaces in $D=(2,2)$ space-time dimensions, realizing them in terms of their functor of points over the split composition algebra $\mathbb{C}_{s}$. We exploit the observation that certain split form of orthogonal groups can be realized in terms of matrix groups over split composition algebras; this leads to a natural interpretation of the the sections of the spinor bundle in the critical split dimensions $D=4$, $6$ and $10$ as $\mathbb{C}_{s}^{2}$, $\mathbb{H}_{s}^{2}$ and $\mathbb{O}_{s}^{2}$, respectively. Within this approach, we also analyze the non-trivial spinor orbit stratification that is relevant in our construction since it affects the Klein-Conformal superspace structure.

The symplectic origin of conformal and Minkowski superspaces

Supermanifolds provide a very natural ground to understand and handle supersymmetry from a geometric point of view; supersymmetry in $d=3,4,6$ and $10$ dimensions is also deeply related to the normed division algebras. In this paper we want to show the link between the conformal group and certain types of symplectic transformations over division algebras. Inspired by this observation we then propose a new\,realization of the real form of the 4 dimensional conformal and Minkowski superspaces we obtain, respectively, as a Lagrangian supermanifold over the twistor superspace $\mathbb{C}^{4|1}$ and a big cell inside it. The beauty of this approach is that it naturally generalizes to the 6 dimensional case (and possibly also to the 10 dimensional one) thus providing an elegant and uniform characterization of the conformal superspaces.

Algebraic supergroups with Lie superalgebras of classical type

We show that every connected affine algebraic supergroup defined over a field k, with diagonalizable maximal torus and whose tangent Lie superalgebra is a k-form of a complex simple Lie superalgebra of classical type is a Chevalley supergroup, as it is defined and constructed explicitly in [R. Fioresi, F. Gavarini, "Chevalley Supergroups", Memoirs of the AMS 215 (2012), no. 1014].

Quantum Duality Principle for Quantum Grassmannians

The quantum duality principle (QDP) for homogeneous spaces gives four recipes to obtain, from a quantum homogeneous space, a dual one, in the sense of Poisson duality. One of these recipes fails (for lack of the initial ingredient) when the homogeneous space we start from is not a quasi-affine variety. In this work we solve this problem for the quantum Grassmannian, a key example of quantum projective homogeneous space, providing a suitable analogue of the QDP recipe.
