Privacy-Preserving Robustness Verification for Neural Networks

Neural network verification and data privacy are inherently in tension: verification demands full access to model parameters and input data, yet both are increasingly restricted by privacy regulations and intellectual property constraints. This tension has left robustness verification impractical in privacy-sensitive domains. In this work, we address this gap with SecureCROWN, the first framework for privacy-preserving neural network robustness verification. Built upon secure two-party computation (2PC), our framework enables a model owner and a data owner to jointly compute certified robustness bounds -- revealing only the final result while provably protecting both parties' private data under the semi-honest security model. A key challenge is securely computing the conditional operations in Linear Bound Propagation, where the data-dependent branching is incompatible with standard secure computation protocols. We eliminate branching by formulating conditional logic as continuous arithmetic operations. Additionally, we introduce a Newton--Raphson refinement method to improve numerical stability. Extensive analysis and experiments show that SecureCROWN strictly matches plaintext verification results, while completing in 0.1--200s across varied model sizes and communication settings (LAN/WAN), demonstrating the feasibility of privacy-preserving neural network verification.

EduRiskX: A Neuro-Symbolic Framework with F-Logic Reasoning for Early Academic Risk Prediction

Predicting students' academic risk in online education is crucial for enabling timely interventions that can improve retention and learning outcomes. However, existing models often suffer from limited early detection capability and insufficient interpretability, leading to a "black-box" trust crisis that hinders their adoption in real-world pedagogical settings. To address these challenges, we propose EduRiskX, a neuro-symbolic framework that integrates a temporal Transformer-based predictor with F-Logic symbolic reasoning. The neural component models longitudinal student activity sequences using temporal attention, class-weighted loss, and dynamic weekly truncation. Acting as a data-driven expert system, an F-Logic rule base -- grounded in established educational theories (Engagement Theory and Student Integration Model) to mimic the diagnostic logic of human educators -- is constructed exclusively from the training data. The neural risk probability and the symbolic confidence score are then combined through a logistic regression-based fusion mechanism that learns the relative contribution of each signal. Experiments on the Open University Learning Analytics Dataset (OULAD) using a strict 80/10/10 student-level split show that EduRiskX achieves an accuracy of 0.900 and an F1-score of 0.894 at the end of the semester (Week 38), with an average early detection week of 9.32 and a detection rate of 94.30 percent. Compared with state-of-the-art time-series models (PatchTST, iTransformer) and common deep learning baselines (LSTM, CNN), EduRiskX yields improved recall and earlier risk identification under identical conditions. Beyond predictive performance, the F-Logic module provides structured rule-based explanations linking predictions to observable behavioral patterns and educational theories.

CreAgentive: An Agent Workflow Driven Multi-Category Creative Generation Engine

We present CreAgentive, an agent workflow driven multi-category creative generation engine that addresses four key limitations of contemporary large language models in writing stories, drama and other categories of creatives: restricted genre diversity, insufficient output length, weak narrative coherence, and inability to enforce complex structural constructs. At its core, CreAgentive employs a Story Prototype, which is a genre-agnostic, knowledge graph-based narrative representation that decouples story logic from stylistic realization by encoding characters, events, and environments as semantic triples. CreAgentive engages a three-stage agent workflow that comprises: an Initialization Stage that constructs a user-specified narrative skeleton; a Generation Stage in which long- and short-term objectives guide multi-agent dialogues to instantiate the Story Prototype; a Writing Stage that leverages this prototype to produce multi-genre text with advanced structures such as retrospection and foreshadowing. This architecture reduces storage redundancy and overcomes the typical bottlenecks of long-form generation. In extensive experiments, CreAgentive generates thousands of chapters with stable quality and low cost (less than $1 per 100 chapters) using a general-purpose backbone model. To evaluate performance, we define a two-dimensional framework with 10 narrative indicators measuring both quality and length. Results show that CreAgentive consistently outperforms strong baselines and achieves robust performance across diverse genres, approaching the quality of human-authored novels.
