Shadows of magnetically charged rotating black holes surrounded by quintessence

In this work, we study the optical properties of a class of magnetically charged rotating black hole spacetimes. The black holes in question are assumed to be immersed in the quintessence field, and subsequently, the resulting black hole shadows are expected to be modified by the presence of the dark energy. We investigate the photon region and the black hole shadow, and in particular, their dependence on the relevant physical conditions such as the state parameter of the quintessence, the angular momentum, and the magnitude of the magnetic charge. It is shown that the photon regions sensitively depend on the horizon structure and possess intricate features. Moreover, from the viewpoint of a static observer, we explore a few observables, especially those associated with the distortion of the observed black hole shadows.

Behavior of quasinormal modes and Van der Waals-like phase transition of charged AdS black holes in massive gravity

In this work, we utilize the quasinormal modes (QNMs) of a massless scalar perturbation to probe the Van der Waals-like small and large black holes (SBH/LBH) phase transition of charged topological Anti-de Sitter (AdS) black holes in four-dimensional massive gravity. We find that the signature of this SBH/LBH phase transition is detected in the isobaric as well as in the isothermal process. This further supports the idea that the QNMs can be an efficient tool to investigate the thermodynamical phase transition.

Reentrant phase transitions of higher-dimensional AdS black holes in dRGT massive gravity

We study the $P-V$ criticality and phase transition in the extended phase space of anti-de Sitter (AdS) black holes in higher-dimensional de Rham, Gabadadze and Tolley (dRGT) massive gravity, treating the cosmological constant as pressure and the corresponding conjugate quantity is interpreted as thermodynamic volume. Besides the usual small/large black hole phase transitions, the interesting thermodynamic phenomena of reentrant phase transitions (RPTs) are observed for black holes in all $d\geq6$-dimensional spacetime when the coupling coefficients $c_i m^2$ of massive potential satisfy some certain conditions.

Thermodynamics of third order Lovelock anti-de Sitter black holes revisited

We compute the mass and the temperature of third order Lovelock black holes with negative Gauss-Bonnet coefficient $α_2<0$ in anti-de Sitter space and perform the stability analysis of topological black holes. When $k=-1$, the third order Lovelock black holes are thermodynamically stable for the whole range $r_+$. When $k=1$, we found that the black hole has an intermediate unstable phase for $D=7$. In eight dimensional spacetimes, however, a new phase of thermodynamically unstable small black holes appears if the coefficient $\tildeα$ is under a critical value. For $D\geq 9$, black holes have similar the distributions of thermodynamically stable regions to the case where the coefficient $\tildeα$ is under a critical value for $D=8$. It is worth to mention that all the thermodynamic and conserved quantities of the black holes with flat horizon don't depend on the Lovelock coefficients and are the same as those of black holes in general gravity.

The Exact Solution of 1-D SU(n) Hubbard model

In this paper we derive out the exact solution of the SU(n) Hubbard model through the coordinate and the algebraic Bethe ansatz methods. The energy spectrum and the Bethe ansatz equations are obtained. Furthermore, we analysis the ground state and give out the exact analytic solution of the model.

Rotation of D-brane and Non-commutative Geometry

Our motivation is to find the relationship between the commutator of coordinates and uncertainty relation involving only the coordinates. The boundary condition with constant background field is connected with the rotation of D-brane at general angle. And the mode expansions of D-brane we found is more reasonable than those appeared in literature. The partition functions and scattering amplitudes are also discussed.

The Thermodynamics of the XXZ Heisenberg Chain with Impurities

In this paper, we discuss the effect of the arbitrary spin impurities to the spin-1/2 and spin-1 XXZ model. The effect of ground state, the free energy, the magnetic susceptibility, the specific heat and the Kondo temperature are given by using the thermodynamic Bethe ansatz equation.

The Exact Solution of the SU(3) Hubbard Model

The Bethe ansatz equations of the 1-D SU(3) Hubbard model are systematically derived by diagonalizing the inhomogeneous transfer matrix of the XXX model. We first derive the scattering matrix of the SU(3) Hubbard model through the coordinate Bethe ansatz method. Then, with the help quantum inverse scattering method we solve the nested transfer matrix and give the eigenvalues, the eigenvectors and the Bethe ansatz equations. Finally, we obtain the exactly analytic solution for the ground state.

A gapless charge mode induced by the boundary states in the half-filled Hubbard open-chain

We discuss the ground state and some excited states of the half-filled Hubbard model defined on an open chain with L sites, where only one of the boundary sites has a different value of chemical potential. We consider the case when the boundary site has a negative chemical potential -p and the Hubbard coupling U is positive. By an analytic method we show that when p is larger than the transfer integral some of the ground-state solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations become complex-valued. It follows that there is a ``surface phase transition'' at some critical value p_c; when p p_c.

Lax pair for SU(n) Hubbard model

For one dimensional SU(n) Hubbard model, a pair of Lax operators are derived, which give a set of fundamental equations for the quantum inverse scattering method under both periodic and open boundary conditions. This provides another proof of the integrability of the model under periodic boundary condition.

Magnetic susceptibility and low-temperature specific-heat of integrable 1-D Hubbard model under open-boundary conditions

The magnetic susceptibility and the low-temperature specific heat of the 1-dimensional Hubbard model under the integrable open-boundary conditions are discussed through the Bethe ansatz with the string hypothesis. The contributions of the boundary fields to both the susceptibility and the specific heat are obtained, and their exact expressions are analytically derived.

Exact solutions of 1-D Hubbard model with open boundary conditions and the conformal dimensions under boundary magnetic fields

The Bethe ansatz equations of the 1-D Hubbard model under open boundary conditions are systematically derived by diagonalizing the inhomogeneous transfer matrix of the XXX model with open boundaries. Through the finite-size correction, we obtain the energy spectrum of the open chain and discuss the effects of boundary magnetic fields applied only at the edges of the chain. Several physical implications of the finite-size spectrum are discussed from the viewpoint of the boundary conformal field theories (BCFT); the conformal dimension of the spin excitation is quite sensitive to the boundary magnetic fields, and this sensitivity can be explained in terms of the $π/2$-phase shift of the BCFT. For several limiting cases such as for the half-filling case, the conformal dimensions are explicitly calculated.

Diagonalization of 2-D inhomogeneous model related to the Hubbard model

We found the eigenvalues of the transfer matrix for the 2-D inhomogeneous statistical model with twisted boundary condition by using the analytic Bethe Ansatz method. In the uniform case, the derived hamiltonian generalizes the 1-D Hubbard model with the twisted boundary. We also give the energy spectra for the derived hamiltonian.

Analytic Bethe Ansatz for 1-D Hubbard model and twisted coupled XY model

We found the eigenvalues of the transfer matrices for the 1-D Hubbard model and for the coupled XY model with twisted boundary condition by using the analytic Bethe Ansatz method. Under a particular condition the two models have the same Bethe Ansatz equations. We have also proved that the periodic 1-D Hubbard model is exactly equal to the coupled XY model with nontrivial twisted boundary condition at the level of hamiltonians and transfer matrices.

Exact diagonalization of the quantum supersymmetric $SU_q(n|m)$ model

We use the algebraic nested Bethe ansatz to solve the eigenvalue and eigenvector problem of the supersymmetric $SU_q(n|m)$ model with open boundary conditions. Under an additional condition that model is related to a multicomponent supersymmetric t-J model. We also prove that the transfer matrix with open boundary condition is $SU_q(n|m)$ invariant.
