SegKAN: High-Resolution Medical Image Segmentation with Long-Distance Dependencies

Hepatic vessels in computed tomography scans often suffer from image fragmentation and noise interference, making it difficult to maintain vessel integrity and posing significant challenges for vessel segmentation. To address this issue, we propose an innovative model: SegKAN. First, we improve the conventional embedding module by adopting a novel convolutional network structure for image embedding, which smooths out image noise and prevents issues such as gradient explosion in subsequent stages. Next, we transform the spatial relationships between Patch blocks into temporal relationships to solve the problem of capturing positional relationships between Patch blocks in traditional Vision Transformer models. We conducted experiments on a Hepatic vessel dataset, and compared to the existing state-of-the-art model, the Dice score improved by 1.78%. These results demonstrate that the proposed new structure effectively enhances the segmentation performance of high-resolution extended objects. Code will be available at https://github.com/goblin327/SegKAN

PathoHR: Breast Cancer Survival Prediction on High-Resolution Pathological Images

Breast cancer survival prediction in computational pathology presents a remarkable challenge due to tumor heterogeneity. For instance, different regions of the same tumor in the pathology image can show distinct morphological and molecular characteristics. This makes it difficult to extract representative features from whole slide images (WSIs) that truly reflect the tumor's aggressive potential and likely survival outcomes. In this paper, we present PathoHR, a novel pipeline for accurate breast cancer survival prediction that enhances any size of pathological images to enable more effective feature learning. Our approach entails (1) the incorporation of a plug-and-play high-resolution Vision Transformer (ViT) to enhance patch-wise WSI representation, enabling more detailed and comprehensive feature extraction, (2) the systematic evaluation of multiple advanced similarity metrics for comparing WSI-extracted features, optimizing the representation learning process to better capture tumor characteristics, (3) the demonstration that smaller image patches enhanced follow the proposed pipeline can achieve equivalent or superior prediction accuracy compared to raw larger patches, while significantly reducing computational overhead. Experimental findings valid that PathoHR provides the potential way of integrating enhanced image resolution with optimized feature learning to advance computational pathology, offering a promising direction for more accurate and efficient breast cancer survival prediction. SSS: Semi-Supervised SAM-2 with Efficient Prompting for Medical Imaging Segmentation

In the era of information explosion, efficiently leveraging large-scale unlabeled data while minimizing the reliance on high-quality pixel-level annotations remains a critical challenge in the field of medical imaging. Semi-supervised learning (SSL) enhances the utilization of unlabeled data by facilitating knowledge transfer, significantly improving the performance of fully supervised models and emerging as a highly promising research direction in medical image analysis. Inspired by the ability of Vision Foundation Models (e.g., SAM-2) to provide rich prior knowledge, we propose SSS (Semi-Supervised SAM-2), a novel approach that leverages SAM-2's robust feature extraction capabilities to uncover latent knowledge in unlabeled medical images, thus effectively enhancing feature support for fully supervised medical image segmentation. Specifically, building upon the single-stream "weak-to-strong" consistency regularization framework, this paper introduces a Discriminative Feature Enhancement (DFE) mechanism to further explore the feature discrepancies introduced by various data augmentation strategies across multiple views. By leveraging feature similarity and dissimilarity across multi-scale augmentation techniques, the method reconstructs and models the features, thereby effectively optimizing the salient regions. Furthermore, a prompt generator is developed that integrates Physical Constraints with a Sliding Window (PCSW) mechanism to generate input prompts for unlabeled data, fulfilling SAM-2's requirement for additional prompts. Extensive experiments demonstrate the superiority of the proposed method for semi-supervised medical image segmentation on two multi-label datasets, i.e., ACDC and BHSD. Notably, SSS achieves an average Dice score of 53.15 on BHSD, surpassing the previous state-of-the-art method by +3.65 Dice. Code will be available at https://github.com/AIGeeksGroup/SSS.

Hypergraph-based Multimodal Retrieval-Augmented Generation with Incremental Refinement

Modern Multimodal Retrieval-Augmented Generation (M-RAG) systems are fundamentally limited by the binary connectivity paradigm of traditional simple graphs, which fails to capture the intricate, high-order correlations among heterogeneous entities, such as the N-ary relationships between a visual chart, its scattered textual descriptions, and underlying numerical data. Furthermore, existing refinement strategies often rely on exhaustive, full-page reconstruction to align cross-modal information, leading to prohibitive computational redundancy and the introduction of contextual noise in long-form document processing. In this paper, we propose Hyper-M2RAG, a novel framework that redefines multimodal document retrieval through High-order Hypergraph Representation Learning. We first formalize the document structure as a Multimodal Hypergraph, utilizing hyperedges as unified semantic containers to encapsulate multi-way associations across text, images, and tables, thereby transcending point-to-point modeling. To mitigate semantic fragmentation caused by physical pagination, we introduce an Anchor-driven Incremental Refinement mechanism. Rather than performing a global sweep, our approach identifies boundary-crossing anchor nodes and reconstructs their local hyper-topology using one-hop neighborhood contexts. This targeted refinement effectively bridges cross-page knowledge gaps with minimal computational footprints. Extensive evaluations on multimodal benchmarking datasets demonstrate that Hyper-M2RAG significantly outperforms state-of-the-art methods in both retrieval precision and generation coherence. Our code is available at https://github.com/ShenAoChen2001/MMHRAG.

Hyper-KGGen: A Skill-Driven Knowledge Extractor for High-Quality Knowledge Hypergraph Generation

Knowledge hypergraphs surpass traditional binary knowledge graphs by encapsulating complex n-ary atomic facts, providing a more comprehensive paradigm for semantic representation. However, constructing high-quality hypergraphs remains challenging due to the scenario gap: generic extractors struggle to generalize across diverse domains with specific jargon, while existing methods often fail to balance structural skeletons with fine-grained details. To bridge this gap, we propose Hyper-KGGen, a skill-driven framework that reformulates extraction as a dynamic skill-evolving process. First, Hyper-KGGen employs a coarse-to-fine mechanism to systematically decompose documents, ensuring full-dimensional coverage from binary links to complex hyperedges. Crucially, it incorporates an adaptive skill acquisition module that actively distills domain expertise into a Global Skill Library. This is achieved via a stability-based feedback loop, where extraction stability serves as a relative reward signal to induce high-quality skills from unstable traces and missed predictions. Additionally, we present HyperDocRED, a rigorously annotated benchmark for document-level knowledge hypergraph extraction. Experiments demonstrate that Hyper-KGGen significantly outperforms strong baselines, validating that evolved skills provide substantially richer guidance than static few-shot examples in multi-scenario settings.

SABER: A Semantic-Aligned Brain Network Analysis Framework via Multi-scale Hypergraphs

Effective brain disease diagnosis requires the synergy of brain connectivity patterns and high-level semantic knowledge. Existing methods, however, largely treat semantics from large language models (LLMs) as auxiliary features or supervision, limiting their direct role in decision-making and constraining classification stability and robustness. To overcome this, we propose a semantic-aligned brain network framework that actively integrates LLM-derived semantics into the prediction process. Specifically, ROI-level semantics are first incorporated via global self-attention to enrich node representations and provide whole-brain context. Multi-scale hypergraphs are then constructed to explicitly model functional subnetworks and multi-ROI interactions, addressing the locality limitations of traditional GNNs and capturing high-order dependencies. Finally, a decision-level semantic alignment mechanism selectively injects patient-specific textual embeddings into graph representations, enabling semantics to directly guide predictions without perturbing the underlying network structure. Experiments on public brain network datasets ABIDE and ADHD-200 demonstrate state-of-the-art performance, enhanced stability, and improved interpretability, particularly in small-sample settings.

Cog-RAG: Cognitive-Inspired Dual-Hypergraph with Theme Alignment Retrieval-Augmented Generation

Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) enhances the response quality and domain-specific performance of large language models (LLMs) by incorporating external knowledge to combat hallucinations. In recent research, graph structures have been integrated into RAG to enhance the capture of semantic relations between entities. However, it primarily focuses on low-order pairwise entity relations, limiting the high-order associations among multiple entities. Hypergraph-enhanced approaches address this limitation by modeling multi-entity interactions via hyperedges, but they are typically constrained to inter-chunk entity-level representations, overlooking the global thematic organization and alignment across chunks. Drawing inspiration from the top-down cognitive process of human reasoning, we propose a theme-aligned dual-hypergraph RAG framework (Cog-RAG) that uses a theme hypergraph to capture inter-chunk thematic structure and an entity hypergraph to model high-order semantic relations. Furthermore, we design a cognitive-inspired two-stage retrieval strategy that first activates query-relevant thematic content from the theme hypergraph, and then guides fine-grained recall and diffusion in the entity hypergraph, achieving semantic alignment and consistent generation from global themes to local details. Our extensive experiments demonstrate that Cog-RAG significantly outperforms existing state-of-the-art baseline approaches.
