Low-momentum effective interaction in the three-dimensional approach

The formulation of the low-momentum effective interaction in the model space Lee-Suzuki and the renormalization group methods is implemented in the three-dimensional approach. In this approach the low-momentum effective interaction V_{low k} has been formulated as a function of the magnitude of momentum vectors and the angle between them. As an application the spin-isospin independent Malfliet-Tjon potential has been used into the model space Lee-Suzuki method and it has been shown that the low-momentum effective interaction V_{low k} reproduces the same two-body observables obtained by the bare potential V_{NN}.

Three-Nucleon Bound State in a Spin-Isospin Dependent Three Dimensional Approach

A spin-isospin dependent Three-Dimensional approach based on momentum vectors for formulation of the three-nucleon bound state is presented in this paper. The three-nucleon Faddeev equations with two-nucleon interactions are formulated as a function of vector Jacobi momenta, specifically the magnitudes of the momenta and the angle between them with the inclusion of the spin-isospin quantum numbers, without employing a partial wave decomposition. As an application the spin-isospin dependent Faddeev integral equations are solved with Bonn-B potential. Our result for the Triton binding energy with the value of -8.152 MeV is in good agreement with the achievements of the other partial wave based methods.

Bound State Calculations of the Three-Dimensional Yakubovsky Equations with the inclusion of Three-Body Forces

The four-body Yakubovsky equations in a Three-Dimensional approach with the inclusion of the three-body forces is proposed. The four-body bound state with two- and three-body interactions is formulated in Three-Dimensional approach for identical particles as function of vector Jacobi momenta, specifically the magnitudes of the momenta and the angles between them. The modified three dimensional Yakubovsky integral equations is successfully solved with the scalar two-meson exchange three-body force where the Malfliet-Tjon-type two-body force is implemented. The three-body force effects on the energy eigenvalue and the four-body wave function, as well as accuracy of our numerical calculations are presented. The four-body Yakubovsky equations in a Three-Dimensional approach with the inclusion of the three-body forces is proposed. Four-Body Bound State Calculations in Three-Dimensional Approach

The four-body bound state with two-body interactions is formulated in Three-Dimensional approach, a recently developed momentum space representation which greatly simplifies the numerical calculations of few-body systems without performing the partial wave decomposition. The obtained three-dimensional Faddeev-Yakubovsky integral equations are solved with two-body potentials. Results for four-body binding energies are in good agreement with achievements of the other methods.

Effective field theory calculation of nd radiative capture at thermal energies

The cross section for the thermal neutron capture by the deuteron is calculated with pionless Effective Field Theory(EFT). No new Three-Nucleon forces are needed up to next-to-next-to-leading order in order to achieve cut-off independent results, besides those fixed by the triton binding energy and Nd scattering length in the triton channel. The cross-section is accurately determined to be $σ_{tot}=[0.503\pm 0.003]mb$. At zero energies, the magnetic $M1$-transition gives the dominant contribution and is calculated up to next-to-next-to-leading order (N$^2$LO). Close agreement between the available experimental data and the calculated cross section is reached. We demonstrate convergence and cutoff independence order by order in the low-energy expansion.

$Nd\to{^3H}γ$ with Effective Field Theory

The cross section of neutron-deuteron radiative capture $n d\to {^3H}γ$ is calculated at energies relevant to Big-Bang nucleosynthesis ($ 20 \leq E \leq 200 $ Kev) with pionless Effective Field Theory. At these energies, magnetic transition M1 gives the dominant contribution. The M1 amplitude is calculated up to next-to-next-to leading order(N$^2$LO) with insertion of three-body force. Results are in good agreement within few percent theoretical uncertainty in comparison with available calculated data below E=200 Kev.

Non-locality and Medium Effects in the Exclusive Photoproduction of Eta Mesons on Nuclei

A relativistic model for the quasifree exclusive photoproduction of $η$ mesons on nuclei is extended to include both non-local and medium effects. The reaction is assumed to proceed via the dominant contribution of the S$_{11}$(1535) resonance. The complicated integrals resulting from the non-locality are simplified using a modified version of a method given by Cooper and Maxwell. The non-locality effects are found to affect the magnitude of the cross section. Some possibilities reflecting the effects of the medium on the propagation and properties of the intermediate S$_{11}$ resonance are studied. The effects of allowing the S$_{11}$ to interact with the medium via mean field scalar and vector potentials are considered. Both broadening of width and reduction in mass of the resonance lead to a suppression of the calculated cross sections.
