Modification of the Nuclear Landscape in the Inverse Problem Framework using the Generalized Bethe-Weizsäcker Mass Formula

The dependence on the structure functions and Z, N numbers of the nuclear binding energy is investigated within the inverse problem(IP) approach. This approach allows us to infer the underlying model parameters from experimental observation, rather than to predict the observations from the model parameters. The IP was formulated for the numerical generalization of the semi-empirical mass formula of BW. It was solved in step by step way based on the AME2012 nuclear database. The established parametrization describes the measured nuclear masses of 2564 isotopes with a maximum deviation less than 2.6 MeV, starting from the number of protons and number of neutrons equal to 1. The set of parameters $\{a_{i}\}$, $i=1,\dots, {\mathcal{N}}_{\rm{param}}$ of our fit represent the solution of an overdetermined system of nonlinear equations, which represent equalities between the binding energy $E_{B,j}^{\rm{Expt}}(A,Z)$ and its model $E_{B,j}^{\rm{Th}}(A,Z,\{a_{i}\})$, where $j$ is the index of the given isotope. The solution of the overdetermined system of nonlinear equations has been obtained with the help of the Aleksandrov's auto-regularization method of Gauss-Newton(GN) type for ill-posed problems. The efficiency of the above methods was checked by comparing relevant results with the results obtained independently. The explicit form of unknown functions was discovered in a step-by-step way using the modified least $χ^{2}$ procedure, that realized in the algorithms which were developed by Aleksandrov to solve nonlinear systems of equations via the GN method, lets us to choose between two functions with same $χ^{2}$ the better one. In the obtained generalized model the corrections to the binding energy depend on nine proton (2, 8, 14, 20, 28, 50, 82, 108, 124) and ten neutron (2, 8, 14, 20, 28, 50, 82, 124, 152, 202) magic numbers as well on the asymptotic boundaries of their influence.

Computation of the Binding Energies in the Inverse Problem Framework

We formalized the nuclear mass problem in the inverse problem framework. This approach allows us to infer the underlying model parameters from experimental observation, rather than to predict the observations from the model parameters. The inverse problem was formulated for the numericaly generalized the semi-empirical mass formula of Bethe and von Weizsäcker. It was solved in step by step way based on the AME2012 nuclear database. The solution of the overdetermined system of nonlinear equations has been obtained with the help of the Aleksandrov's auto-regularization method of Gauss-Newton type for ill-posed problems. These results help us to evaluate the borders of the nuclear landscape and show their limit. The efficiency of the applied approach was checked by comparing relevant results with the results obtained independently.

Imminent earthquake forecasting on the basis of Japan INTERMAGNET stations, NEIC, NOAA and Tide code data analysis

This research presents one possible way for imminent prediction of earthquake magnitude, depth and epicenter coordinates by solving the inverse problem using a data acquisition network system for monitoring, archiving and complex analysis of geophysical variables precursors. Among many possible precursors the most reliable are the geoelectromagnetic field, the boreholes water level, the radon surface concentration, the local heat flow, the ionosphere variables, the low frequency atmosphere and Earth core waves. In this study only geomagnetic data are used. Within the framework of geomagnetic quake approach it is possible to perform an imminent regional seismic activity forecasting on the basis of simple analysis of geomagnetic data which use a new variable Schtm with dimension surface density of energy. Such analysis of Memambetsu, Kakioka, Kanoya (Japan, INTERMAGNET) stations and NEIC earthquakes data, the hypothesis that the predicted earthquake is this with bigest value of the variable Schtm permit to formulate an inverse problem (overdetermined algebraic system) for precursors signals like a functions of earthquake magnitude, depth and distance from a monitoring point. Thus, in the case of data acquisition network system existence, which includes monitoring of more than one reliable precursor variables in at least four points distributed within the area with a radius of up to 700 km, there will be enough algebraic equations for calculation of impending earthquake magnitude, depth and distance, solving the overdetermined algebraic system.

KamLAND-experiment and Soliton-like Nuclear Georeactor. Part 1. Comparison of Theory with Experiment

We give an alternative description of the data produced in the KamLAND experiment, assuming the existence of a natural nuclear reactor on the boundary of the liquid and solid phases of the Earth's core. Analyzing the uncertainty of antineutrino spectrum of georeactor origin, we show that the theoretical (which takes into account the soliton-like nuclear georeactor) total reactor antineutrino spectra describe with good accuracy the experimental KamLAND-data over the years of 2002-2007 and 2002-2009, respectively. At the same time the parameters of mixing (Δ(m21)^2=2.5\cdot 10^-5 eV^2, tan^2θ12=0.437) calculated within the framework of georeactor hypothesis substantially differ from the parameters of mixing (Δ(m21)^2=7.49\cdot 10^-5 eV^2, tan^2θ12=0.436) obtained in KamLAND-experiment for total exposure over the period of 2002-2009. By traingulation of KamLAND and Borexino data we have constructed the coordinate location of soliton-like nuclear georeactors on the boundary of the liquid and solid phases of the Earth core. Based on the necessary condition of full synchronization of geological (magnetic) time scale and time evolution of heat power of nuclear georeactor, which plays the role of energy source of the Earth magnetic field, and also the strong negative correlation between magnetic field of the solar tachocline zone and magnetic field of the Earth liquid core (Y-component) we have obtain the estimation of nuclear georeactor average heat power ~30 TW over the years 2002-2009.

Axion mechanism of the Sun luminosity and solar dynamo - geodynamo connection

We show existence of strong negative correlation between the temporal variations of magnetic field toroidal component of the solar tachocline (the bottom of convective zone) and the Earth magnetic field (Y-component). The possibility that hypothetical solar axions, which can transform into photons in external electric or magnetic fields (the inverse Primakoff effect), can be the instrument by which the magnetic field of convective zone of the Sun modulates the magnetic field of the Earth is considered. We propose the axion mechanism of Sun luminosity and "solar dynamo - geodynamo" connection, where an energy of solar axions emitted in M1 transition in 57Fe nuclei is modulated at first by the magnetic field of the solar tachocline zone (due to the inverse coherent Primakoff effect) and after that is resonance absorbed in the core of the Earth, thereby playing the role of an energy source and a modulator of the Earth magnetic field. Within the framework of this mechanism estimations of the strength of an axion coupling to a photon (ga_gamma about 1.64*10^-9 GeV^-1), the axion-nucleon coupling (ga_gamma_eff about 10^-5) and the axion mass (ma about 30 eV) have been obtained.

Solar axions as an energy source and modulator of the Earth magnetic field

Within the framework of this mechanism new estimations of the strength of an axion coupling to a photon (ga_gamma about 5*10^-9 GeV^-1) and the axion mass (ma ~ 30 eV) have been obtained.

Quantization in classical mechanics and reality of Bohm's psi-field

Based on the Chetaev theorem on stable dynamical trajectories in the presence of dissipative forces, we obtain the generalized condition for stability of Hamilton systems in the form of the Schrodinger equation. It is shown that the energy of dissipative forces, which generate the Chetaev generalized condition of stability, coincides exactly with the Bohm "quantum" potential. Within the framework of Bohmian quantum mechanics supplemented by the generalized Chetaev theorem and on the basis of the principle of least action for dissipative forces, we show that the squared amplitude of a wave function in the Schrodinger equation is equivalent semantically and syntactically to the probability density function for the number of particle trajectories, relative to which the velocity and the position of the particle are not hidden parameters. The conditions for the correctness of the Bohm-Chetaev interpretation of quantum mechanics are discussed.

The Schrodinger-Chetaev Equation in Bohmian Quantum Mechanics and Diffusion Mechanism for Alpha Decay, Cluster Radioactivity and Spontaneous Fission

In the framework of Bohmian quantum mechanics supplemented with the Chetaev theorem on stable trajectories in dynamics in the presence of dissipative forces we have shown the possibility of the classical (without tunneling) universal description of radioactive decay of heavy nuclei, in which under certain conditions so called noise-induced transition is generated or, in other words, the stochastic channel of alpha decay, cluster radioactivity and spontaneous fission conditioned by the Kramers diffusion mechanism. Based on the ENSDF database we have found the parametrized solutions of the Kramers equation of Langevin type by Alexandrov dynamic auto-regularization method (FORTRAN program REGN-Dubna). These solutions describe with high-accuracy the dependence of the half-life (decay probability) of heavy radioactive nuclei on total kinetic energy of daughter decay products. The verification of inverse problem solution in the framework of the universal Kramers description of the alpha decay, cluster radioactivity and spontaneous fission, which was based on the newest experimental data of alpha-decay of even-even super heavy nuclei (Z=114, 116, 118) have shown the good coincidence of the experimental and theoretical half-life depend upon of alpha-decay energy.

Skopje and Sofia 2005 Earthquake and Geomagnetic data and the Geomagnetic Quake as Imminent Reliable Earthquakes Precursor

The imminent WHEN earthquake predictions are based on the correlation between geomagnetic quakes and the incoming minimum (or maximum) of tidal gravitational potential. The probability time window for the incoming earthquake is for the tidal minimum approximately one day and for the maximum- two days. The statistic evidence for reliability is based on of distributions of the time difference between occurred and predicted earthquakes for the period 2002- 2005 for Sofia region and 2004- 2005 for Skopje. The project for complex Balkan- Black Sea region NETWORK for earthquake prediction by using the reliable precursors will be proposed in near future. The Project is based on the temporary data acquisition system for preliminary archiving, testing, visualizing and analyzing of the data with aim to prepare regional daily risk estimation.

The local when earthquake prediction is based on the connection between geomagnetic quakes and the next incoming minimum or maximum of tidal gravitational potential. The probability time window for the predicted earthquake is for the tidal minimum approximately +/-1 day and for the maximum- +/-2 days. The preliminary statistic estimation on the basis of distribution of the time difference between occurred and predicted earthquakes for the period 2002- 2003 for Sofia region is given. The possibility for creating a local when, where earthquake research and prediction NETWORK is based on the accurate monitoring of the electromagnetic field with special space and time scales under, on and over the Earth surface. The periodically upgraded information from seismic hazard maps and other standard geodetic information as well as other precursory information is essential.

On the short time prediction of earthquakes in the Balkan- Black Sea region based on geomagnetic field measurements and tide gravitational potential behavior

The paper is a first attempt for statistical estimation of method for a short time prediction of incoming earthquake in the Balkan and Black Sea region from January to June, 2002. The essence of the discovery is that the geomagnetic local "quake" is a precursor of future earthquake, which time is determined by the tide gravitational potential behavior. A Balkan Black Sea region Earthquake's "When, where" Prediction Network is proposed.

Simultaneously non-linear energy calibration of CMS calorimeters for single pions and electrons

CMS calorimeter energy calibration was done in the full CMS simulated geometry for the pseudorapidity region eta = 0. The samples of single pion events were generated with a set of incident energies from 5 GeV to 3 TeV and for single electrons from 5 to 500 GeV. The analysis of the simulated data shows that standard calibration using just sampling coefficients for calorimeter parts with different sampling ratio gives nonlinear calorimeter response. Non-linear calibration technique was applied simultaneously for pion and electron beams which is preparation for jets energy reconstruction. It improve calorimeter energy resolution for pions and restore the calorimeter linearity.

The possible correlation between electromagnetic earth fields and future earthquakes

From 23 - 27 July 2001 in the Institute of Nuclear Research and Nuclear Energy, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia was held a seminar under the title: "Possible correlations between electromagnetic earth fields and future earthquakes" organized by the Institute's Department of "Astrophysical Objects and Environment". As a main result of the first two days seminar work was the prediction of the direction and the day of the Skyros, Greece earthquake, that was confirned in the next day: Aeg. Sea, 07/26 00:21:37, 39.06N 24.34E, Depth 19 km, Mag 6.3- http://www.noa.gr/English/home-en.html. Analogously, a month later the day of Yambol, Bulgaria eartquake was predicted. The papers of A.M.Galper et al (2001), "High- energy charged particle flux variations in vicinity of Earth as earthquakes precursors", http://www.pereplet.ru/pops/quakes.html, and http://science.rambler.ru/db/msg.html?mid=1168269&uri=galper.html, the analysis of NASA data from http://www.sel.noaa.gov, explained why the Seminar main hypothesis works and give an optimism the combined earth and satellite monitoring for earthquakes "prediction" will succeed this time. The authors are looking forward and waiting with respect for opinions, suggestions, and possible collaboration.
