(2+2)D Collective Model based on a relativistic Boltzmann equation in the Isotropization Time Approximation: CoMBolt-ITA

A new model based on the relativistic Boltzmann equation in the isotropization time approximation is developed to investigate the collective behavior of the quark-gluon plasma produced in high-energy heavy-ion collisions. The equation is solved in (2+2)D (two spatial and two momentum-space dimensions). This framework couples pre-equilibrium dynamics with hydrodynamic evolution to simulate the dynamics of quasiparticle evolution. A numerical scheme based on the method of characteristics enables the evolution to begin from a specified initial Boltzmann distribution. In this work, the spatial structure of the initial distribution is modeled using the TrENTo framework. Our results show that a medium initialized at $τ_0$ on the order of 1 [fm/$c$] with a small shear viscosity to entropy density ratio ($η/s = 0.008$) evolves consistently with hydrodynamic simulations, such as those performed using the VISH2+1 code, while discrepancies arise for a medium with $η/s = 0.8$. Furthermore, when initialized with a highly anisotropic momentum distribution in the longitudinal direction at early times, the system exhibits spatially non-uniform thermalization in the transverse plane, leading to the emergence of a nontrivial hypersurface that marks the onset of hydrodynamic applicability. Finally, we compute the $p_T$-spectra for a non-fluctuating initial condition using the hybrid version of CoMBolt-ITA. In this hybrid setup, the description is switched from quasiparticles to hadrons, and UrQMD is used to model the hadron gas dynamics. We compare these results with those obtained from the hybrid VISH2+1 initialized within the same setup. For a small shear viscosity, $η/s = 0.08$, the two results show a good level of consistency, whereas for a larger value, $η/s = 0.8$, a noticeable discrepancy emerges.

Revealing initial state properties through ultra-central symmetric heavy-ion collisions

Heavy-ion experiments provide a new opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the structure of nuclei. To achieve this, it is crucial to identify observables under circumstances that are minimally affected by the process that leads to the initial state of heavy-ion collisions from nuclear wavefunction. In this study, we demonstrate that when assuming scale-invariance, the effect of this stage on the initial energy or entropy density moments in ultra-central symmetric collisions is negligible for nucleon sizes of approximately 0.7 fm or larger for large nuclei. By borrowing cluster expansion method from statistical physics and using scale-invariance assumption, we calculate the average ellipticity of initial density at the presence of short-range correlation. We compare our calculations to Monte Carlo studies and assess the accuracy of various methods of short-range correlation sampling. Additionally, we find that the isobar ratio can constrain the initial state parameters, in addition to deformation. Our study indicates that the isobar ratios in ultra-central collisions are especially sensitive to the fluctuation in the weight of the nuclei constituents and the two-body correlation among nucleons. This insight is crucial for drawing conclusions about nuclear deformations based on isobar ratios.

α'-Corrected Chiral Magnetic Effect

Using AdS/CFT correspondence, the effect of alpha'-correction on the value of Chiral Magnetic Effect(CME) is computed by adding a number of spinning probe D7-branes in the $α'$-corrected background. We show that although for the massive solutions the magnitude of CME increases in the presence of alpha'-correction, it does not change for the massless solution. However some of the D7-brane embeddings have no CME, after applying alpha'-correction, they find a non-zero value for the CME. As a result the number of solutions with a non-zero CME increases. We also show that the effect of alpha'-correction removes the singularity from some of the D7-brane embeddings.

Angular Correlations in Associated Production of Single Top and Higgs with and without anomalous $Wtb$ Couplings

We study the angular correlation and the amount of top quark polarization in the production of a higgs boson in association with a single top quark in the $t-$channel at the LHC. We also study the effect of anomalous $Wtb$ couplings on the angular correlation and on the production cross section of the process. The cross section and angular correlation is almost insensitive to the variation of the Higgs boson mass within 3 GeV. The robustness of the angular correlation against the center-of-mass energy of the proton-proton collision, the variation of parton distribution functions, and the change of factorization scale is investigated. The sensitivity of this process to the anomalous couplings is examined.

Generating GHZ state in 2m-qubit spin network

We consider a pure 2m-qubit initial state to evolve under a particular quantum me- chanical spin Hamiltonian, which can be written in terms of the adjacency matrix of the Johnson network J(2m;m). Then, by using some techniques such as spectral dis- tribution and stratification associated with the graphs, employed in [1, 2], a maximally entangled GHZ state is generated between the antipodes of the network. In fact, an explicit formula is given for the suitable coupling strengths of the hamiltonian, so that a maximally entangled state can be generated between antipodes of the network. By using some known multipartite entanglement measures, the amount of the entanglement of the final evolved state is calculated, and finally two examples of four qubit and six qubit states are considered in details.

Perfect transfer of m-qubit GHZ states

By using some techniques such as spectral distribution and stratification associated with the graphs, employed in [1,2] for the purpose of Perfect state transfer (PST) of a single qubit over antipodes of distance-regular spin networks and PST of a $d$-level quantum state over antipodes of pseudo-distance regular networks, PST of an m-qubit GHZ state is investigated. To do so, we employ the particular distance-regular networks (called Johnson networks) J(2m,m) to transfer an m-qubit GHZ state initially prepared in an arbitrary node of the network (called the reference node) to the corresponding antipode, perfectly. Perfect transference of a d-level quantum state over pseudo-distance-regular networks

Following the prescription of Ref. \cite{PST} in which perfect state transference (PST) of a qubit over distance regular spin networks was discussed, in this paper PST of an arbitrary $d$-level quantum state (qudit) over antipodes of more general networks called pseudo distance-regular networks, is investigated. In fact, the spectral analysis techniques used in the previous work \cite{PST}, and algebraic structures of pseudo distance-regular graphs are employed to give an explicit formula for suitable coupling constants in the Hamiltonians so that the state of a particular qudit initially encoded on one site will evolve freely to the opposite site without any dynamical control, i.e., we show that how to derive the parameters of the system so that PST can be achieved.
