Directed flow $v_1$ treated as an effect of the transient matter rotation in hadronic and nuclei reactions.
This is a comment on the recent paper by O.V. Selyugin, J.-R. Cudell, and E. Predazzi "Analytic properties of different unitarization schemes" arXiv: 0712.0621v2, [hep-ph]
We discuss energy dependence of rapidity gap survival probability in the double-pomeron exchange processes with account of the reflective scattering effects.
We discuss directed flow introduced for description of nucleus collisions and consider its possible behavior in hadronic and nuclei reactions due to rotation of the transient matter.
Proceeding from optical analogy we propose a new physical interpretation of unitarity saturation leading to antishadowing as a reflective scattering. This interpretation of antishadowing is related to the non-perturbative aspects of strong interactions and follows from the specific property of the unitarity saturation when elastic $S$-matrix $S(s,b)|_{b=0}\to -1$ at $s\to \infty$. The analogy with Berry phase and experimental consequences of the proposed interpretation as reflective scattering at the LHC and in the cosmic rays studies are discussed.
We discuss properties of the specific strongly interacting transient collective state of matter in hadron and nuclei reactions and emphasize similarity in their dynamics. We consider elliptic flow introduced for description of nucleus collisions and discuss its possible behavior in hadronic reactions.
The chiral quark model combined with unitarity and impact parameter picture provides simple semiclassical mechanism for generation of the single-spin asymmetry $A_N$ in the $π^0$-production in the polarized proton collisions at RHIC. We derive its linear $x_F$-dependence in polarized proton fragmentation region along with the energy and transverse momentum independence at large $p_T$ values.
We consider limiting behavior with energy of spin parameters at small values of t close to zero which corresponds to the saturation of the Froissart-Martin bound for the total cross sections.
We note that the new unitarity regime when scattering amplitude goes beyond the black disc limit (antishadowing) could help in the explanation of the regularities such as knee in the energy spectrum, existence of penetrating and long-flying particles and other features observed in the measurements of the extensive air showers which originate from cosmic particles interactions with the atmosphere.
A possibility to accelerate a high intensity polarized proton beam up to 70 GeV at the IHEP accelerator, extract it from the main ring and deliver to several experimental setups is being studied now. We propose to study a wealth of single- and double-spin observables in various reactions using longitudinally and transverserly polarized proton beams at U70. The proposed measurements can be done at the existing detectors as well as require to create a few new experimental setups at U70.
We discuss simple nonperturbative mechanism for generation of single-spin asymmetries in hadron processes and hyperon polarization in particular.
We discuss the point that the processes with high transverse momenta could have a nonperturbative origin. This discussion is motivated by the fact that there are several experimental indications that such processes can originate from soft dynamics. The model combined with unitarity and impact parameter picture provides simple mechanism for the hadron production and reproduces power like dependence of the differential cross-sections in such processes at high transverse momenta and exponential behavior at small values of p_t. This model can be used for support of the argument that the soft dynamics can be responsible for large transverse momenta processes.
The model combined with unitarity and impact parameter picture provides simple mechanism for generation of hyperon polarization in collision of unpolarized hadrons. We concentrate on a particular problem of $Λ$-hyperon polarization and derive its linear $x_F$-dependence as well as its energy and transverse momentum independence at large $p_\perp$ values. Mechanism responsible for the single--spin asymmetries in pion production is also discussed.
The model combined with unitarity and impact parameter picture provide a rather simple mechanism of hyperon polarization generation in collision of unpolarized hadrons. We concentrate on a particular problem of $Λ$-hyperon polarization and derive its linear $x_F$-dependence as well as its energy and transverse momentum independence at large $p_\perp$. Mechanism responsible for the single--spin asymmetries in pion production is also discussed.
We note that antishadowing could help in the explanation of cosmic rays phenomena such as knee in the energetic spectrum and existence of penetrating and long-flying particles.
We discuss a role of the double helicity-flip amplitudes and derive new unitary bounds for these amplitudes in elastic $pp$-scattering at small values of $t$. We show that the usual assumption on the smallness of such amplidudes can be justified only in the shrinking with energy region of small $t$ values.
We discuss energy dependence of gap survival probability which follows from rational form of amplitude unitarization. In contrast to eikonal form of unitarization which leads to decreasing energy dependence of gap survival probability, we predict a non-monotonous form for this dependence.
The effects of antishadowing related to the spin correlations of particles in multiparticle production are discussed. It is shown that significant spin correlations should be expected at the LHC energies.
