Quark-meson coupling model with the cloudy bag

Using the volume coupling version of the cloudy bag model, the quark-meson coupling model is extended to study the role of pion field and the properties of nuclear matter. The extended model includes the effect of gluon exchange as well as the pion-cloud effect, and provides a good description of the nuclear matter properties. The relationship between the extended model and the EFT approach to nuclear matter is also discussed.

Nuclear matter in the chiral quark soliton model with vector mesons

We study the nuclear matter solution in the chiral quark soliton model coupled to $ρ$ and $ω$ vector mesons based on the Wigner-Seitz approximation. It is shown that the vector mesons stabilize the soliton at high-density region. As a result, the saturation property and incompressibility are significantly improved.

Quantization of the chiral soliton in medium

Chiral solitons coupled with quarks in medium are studied based on the Wigner-Seitz approximation. The chiral quark soliton model is used to obtain the classical soliton solutions. To investigate nucleon and $Δ$ in matter, the semi-classical quantization is performed by the cranking method. The saturation for nucleon matter and $Δ$ matter are observed.

Anisotropy of magnetothermal conductivity in Sr2RuO4

The dependence of in-plane and interplane thermal conductivities of Sr2RuO4 on temperature, as well as magnetic field strength and orientation, is reported. We found no notable anisotropy in the thermal conductivity for the magnetic field rotation parallel to the conducting plane in the whole range of experimental temperatures and fields, except in the vicinity of the upper critical field Hc2, where the anisotropy of the Hc2 itself plays a dominant role. This finding imposes strong constraints on the possible models of superconductivity in Sr2RuO4 and supports the existence of a superconducting gap with a line of nodes running orthogonal to the Fermi surface cylinder.

Effect of Stripes on Electronic States in Underdoped La_{2-x}Sr_xCuO_4

We investigate the electronic states of underdoped La_{2-x}Sr_xCuO_4 (LSCO) by using a microscopic model, i.e., t-t'-t''-J model, containing vertical charge stripes. The numerically exact diagonalization calculation on small clusters shows the consistent explanation of the physical properties in the angle-resolved photoemission, neutron magnetic scattering and optical conductivity experiments such as the antiphase domain and quasi-one-dimensional charge transport. The pair correlation function of the d-channel is suppressed by the stripes. These results demonstrate a crucial role of the stripes in LSCO
