Split Casimir operator for simple Lie algebras in the cube of $\mathsf{ad}$-representation and Vogel parameters

We constructed characteristic identities for the 3-split (polarized) Casimir operators of simple Lie algebras in the adjoint representations $\mathsf{ad}$ and deduced a certain class of subrepresentations in $\mathsf{ad}^{\otimes 3}$. The projectors onto invariant subspaces for these subrepresentations were directly constructed from the characteristic identities for the 3-split Casimir operators. For all simple Lie algebras, universal expressions for the traces of higher powers of the 3-split Casimir operators were found and dimensions of the subrepresentations in $\mathsf{ad}^{\otimes 3}$ were calculated. All our formulas are in agreement with the universal description of (irreducible) subrepresentations in $\mathsf{ad}^{\otimes 3}$ for simple Lie algebras in terms of the Vogel parameters.

Split Casimir operator for simple Lie algebras, solutions of Yang-Baxter equations and Vogel parameters

We construct characteristic identities for the split (polarized) Casimir operators of the simple Lie algebras in defining (minimal fundamental) and adjoint representations. By means of these characteristic identities, for all simple Lie algebras we derive explicit formulae for invariant projectors onto irreducible subrepresentations in T^{\otimes 2} in two cases, when T is the defining and the adjoint representation. In the case when T is the defining representation, these projectors and the split Casimir operator are used to explicitly write down invariant solutions of the Yang-Baxter equations. In the case when T is the adjoint representation, these projectors and characteristic identities are considered from the viewpoint of the universal description of the simple Lie algebras in terms of the Vogel parameters.

Split Casimir operator and universal formulation of the simple Lie algebras

We construct characteristic identities for the split (polarized) Casimir operators of the simple Lie algebras in adjoint representation. By means of these characteristic identities, for all simple Lie algebras we derive explicit formulae for invariant projectors onto irreducible subrepresentations in T^{\otimes 2} in the case when T is the adjoint representation. These projectors and characteristic identities are considered from the viewpoint of the universal description of the simple Lie algebras in terms of the Vogel parameters.

Remarks towards the spectrum of the Heisenberg spin chain type models

The integrable close and open chain models can be formulated in terms of generators of the Hecke algebras. In this review paper, we describe in detail the Bethe ansatz for the XXX and the XXZ integrable close chain models. We find the Bethe vectors for two--component and inhomogeneous models. We also find the Bethe vectors for the fermionic realization of the integrable XXX and XXZ close chain models by means of the algebraic and coordinate Bethe ansatz. Special modification of the XXZ closed spin chain model ("small polaron model") is consedered. Finally, we discuss some questions relating to the general open Hecke chain models.

BRST charges for finite nonlinear algebras

Some ingredients of the BRST construction for quantum Lie algebras are applied to a wider class of quadratic algebras of constraints. We build the BRST charge for a quantum Lie algebra with three generators and ghost-anti-ghosts commuting with constraints. We consider a one-parametric family of quadratic algebras with three generators and show that the BRST charge acquires the conventional form after a redefinition of ghosts. The modified ghosts form a quadratic algebra. The family possesses a non-linear involution, which implies the existence of two independent BRST charges for each algebra in the family. These BRST charges anticommute and form a double BRST complex.

BRST operators for W algebras

The study of quantum Lie algebras motivates a use of non-canonical ghosts and anti-ghosts for non-linear algebras, like W-algebras. This leads, for the W_3 and W_3^(2) algebras, to the BRST operator having the conventional cubic form.
