Gaia GraL X.: The GraL catalogue of gravitationally lensed quasars Matched with \textit{Gaia} data, redshifts, and time delays

Determining the Hubble constant tension requires alternative strategies, and multiply imaged quasars, with their intermediate redshifts, can potentially be used in this regard. We provide a currently complete catalogue of spectroscopically confirmed lensed quasars with ESA/{\it Gaia} astrometry and photometry, as well as redshifts and time delays when available. In addition to the improved astrometry, the catalogue increases the number of lensed quasars by a factor of 1.5 (now 364, of which 277 are doubles and 87 are quads or triples) and significantly increases the number of lensing galaxies detected (now 218), which represents a major step forward. Redshifts are provided for 347 quasars and 188 deflectors. A completely new table of time delays, required for estimates of $H_0$, is presented, with 195 time delays from 73 systems. {\it Gaia} absolute astrometry is sub-milliarcsecond and covers the entire sky. Future {\it Gaia} data releases will provide long-term photometry, which should provide many more time delays. The catalogues as presented here enable machine-learning techniques to be trained and tested and subsequently applied to the {\it Gaia} data releases. Finally, we derive simple but homogeneous models of the 18 quadruply imaged quasars for which images of all four components are presented in {\it Gaia} DR3.}

NGC 6845: metallicity gradients and star formation in a complex compact group

We have obtained Gemini/GMOS spectra of 28 regions located across the interacting group NGC 6845, spanning from the inner regions of the four major galaxies (NGC 6845A, B, C, D) to the tidal tails of NGC 6845A. All regions in the tails are star-forming objects with ages younger than 10 Myr. We derived the gas-phase metallicity gradients across NGC 6845A and its two tails and we find that these are shallower than those for isolated galaxies. NGC 6845A has a gas-phase oxygen central metallicity of \mbox{12+log(O/H)$\sim$8.5} and a flat gas-phase metallicity gradient ($β$=0.002$\pm$0.004 dex kpc$^{-1}$) out to $\sim$4 $\times$ R$_{25}$ (to the end of the longest tidal tail). Considering the mass-metallicity relation, the central region of NGC 6845A displays a lower oxygen abundance than the expected for its mass. Taking into account this fact and considering the flat oxygen distribution measured along the eastern tidal tail, we suggest that an interaction event has produced a dilution in the central metallicity of this galaxy and the observed flattening in its metal distribution. We found that the star formation process along the eastern tidal structure has not been efficient enough to increase the oxygen abundances in this place, suggesting that this structure was formed from enriched material.

NGC 2782: a merger remnant with young stars in its gaseous tidal tail

We have searched for young star-forming regions around the merger remnant NGC 2782. By using GALEX FUV and NUV imaging and HI data we found seven UV sources, located at distances greater than 26 kpc from the center of NGC 2782, and coinciding with its western HI tidal tail. These regions were resolved in several smaller systems when Gemini/GMOS r-band images were used. We compared the observed colors to stellar population synthesis models and we found that these objects have ages of ~1 to 11 Myr and masses ranging from 10^3.9 to 10^4.6 Msun. By using Gemini/GMOS spectroscopic data we confirm memberships and derive high metallicities for three of the young regions in the tail (12+log(O/H)=8.74\pm0.20, 8.81\pm0.20 and 8.78\pm0.20). These metallicities are similar to the value presented by the nuclear region of NGC 2782 and also similar to the value presented for an object located close to the main body of NGC 2782. The high metallicities measured for the star-forming regions in the gaseous tidal tail of NGC 2782 could be explained if they were formed out of highly enriched gas which was once expelled from the center of the merging galaxies when the system collided. An additional possibility is that the tail has been a nursery of a few generations of young stellar systems which ultimately polluted this medium with metals, further enriching the already pre-enriched gas ejected to the tail when the galaxies collided.

Breaks in the Radial Oxygen Abundance and Corotation Radius of Three Spiral Galaxies

The correlation between the breaks in the metallicity distribution and the corotation radius of spiral galaxies has been already advocated in the past and is predicted by a chemo-dynamical model of our Galaxy that effectively introduces the role of spiral arms in the star formation rate. In this work we present photometric and spectroscopic observations made with the Gemini Telescope for three of the best candidates of spiral galaxies to have the corotation inside the optical disk: IC0167, NGC1042 and NGC6907. We observed the most intense and well distributed \hii regions of these galaxies, deriving reliable galactocentric distances and Oxygen abundances by applying different statistical methods. From these results we confirm the presence of variations in the gradients of metallicity of these galaxies that are possibly correlated with the corotation resonance.

HI aperture synthesis and optical observations of the pair of galaxies NGC 6907 and 6908

NGC 6908, a S0 galaxy situated in direction of NGC 6907, was only recently recognized as a distinct galaxy, instead of only a part of NGC 6907. We present 21 cm radio synthesis observations obtained with the GMRT and optical images and spectroscopy obtained with the Gemini North telescope of this pair of interacting galaxies. From the radio observations we obtained the velocity field and the HI column density map of the whole region containing the NGC 6907/8 pair, and by means of the Gemini multi-object spectroscopy we obtained high quality photometric images and $5 Å$ resolution spectra sampling the two galaxies. By comparing the rotation curve of NGC 6907 obtained from the two opposite sides around the main kinematic axis, we were able to distinguish the normal rotational velocity field from the velocity components produced by the interaction between the two galaxies. Taking into account the rotational velocity of NGC 6907 and the velocity derived from the absorption lines for NGC 6908, we verified that the relative velocity between these systems is lower than 60 km s$^{-1}$. The emission lines observed in the direction of NGC 6908, not typical of S0 galaxies, have the same velocity expected for the NGC 6907 rotation curve. Some of them, superimposed on the absorption profiles, which reinforces the idea that they were not formed in NGC 6908. Finally, the HI profile exhibits details of the interaction, showing three components: one for NGC 6908, another for the excited gas in the NGC 6907 disk and a last one for the gas with higher relative velocities left behind NGC 6908 by dynamical friction, used to estimate the time when the interaction started in $(3.4 \pm 0.6)\times10^7$ years ago.
