On the K-theory of matroids with Tutte coverings

The aim of this work is to explicitly compute the K-theory of the category of matroids with respect to the covering family of Tutte coverings. In particular, we show that this is equivalent to the K-theory spectrum of the category of graphic matroids on looped forests, with the covering family generated by isomorphisms. Further, we show that this yields an equivalence of $C_2$-spectra.

Regularity in Linear Degenerations of Flag Variety

In this article we investigate the regularity properties of linear degenerations of flag varieties. We classify the linear degenerations of (partial) flag varieties that are smooth. Furthermore, we study the singular locus of irreducible degenerations and provide estimates for its dimension. We also introduce a new stratification of the total space of representations. Within each stratum, we identify the loci corresponding to flat and flat irreducible degenerations. As a consequence of our results, we show that irreducible linear degenerations are normal varieties.

Multipath matroids, digraph colourings, and the Tutte polynomial

We characterise the digraphs for which the multipaths, that is disjoint unions of directed paths, yield a matroid. For such graphs, called MP-digraphs, we prove that the Tutte polynomial of the multipath matroid is related to counting certain digraph colourings. Finally, we prove that, for MP-forests, the decategorification of the multipath cohomology yields a specialisation of the Tutte polynomial.

On the Smooth Locus in Flat Linear Degenerations of Flag Varieties

We use some moment graph techniques, recently introduced by Lanini and Pütz, to provide a combinatorial description of the smooth locus in flat linear degenerations of flag varieties, generalizing a result proved by Cerulli Irelli, Feigin and Reineke for the Feigin degeneration. Moreover, we propose a different combinatorial criterion linking the smoothness at a fixed point to transitive tournaments.

On the Spectrum of Exterior Algebra, and Generalized Exponents of Small Representations

We present some results about the irreducible representations appearing in the exterior algebra $Λ\mathfrak{g}$, where $ \mathfrak{g}$ is a simple Lie algebra over $\mathbb{C}$. For Lie algebras of type $B$, $C$ or $D$ we prove that certain irreducible representations, associated to weights characterized in a combinatorial way, appear as irreducible components of $Λ\mathfrak{g}$. Moreover, we propose an analogue of a conjecture of Kostant, about irreducibles appearing in the exterior algebra of the little adjoint representation. Finally, we give some closed expressions, in type $B$, $C$ and $D$, for generalized exponents of small representations that are fundamental representations and we propose a generalization of some results of De Concini, Möseneder Frajria, Procesi and Papi about the module of special covariants of adjoint and little adjoint type.

Classification of real and complex 3-qutrit states

In this paper we classify the orbits of the group SL(3,F)^3 on the space F^3\otimes F^3\otimes F^3 for F=C and F=R. This is known as the classification of complex and real 3-qutrit states. We also give an overview of physical theories where these classifications are relevant.

Combinatorial and Topological Aspects of Path Posets, and Multipath Cohomology

Multipath cohomology is a cohomology theory for directed graphs, which is defined using the path poset. The aim of this paper is to investigate combinatorial properties of path posets, and to provide computational tools for multipath cohomology. In particular, we develop acyclicity criteria, and provide computations of multipath cohomology groups of oriented linear graphs. We further interpret the path poset as the face poset of a simplicial complex, and we investigate realisability problems.

On the homotopy type of multipath complexes

A multipath in a directed graph is a disjoint union of paths. The multipath complex of a directed graph ${\tt G}$ is the simplicial complex whose faces are the multipaths of ${\tt G}$. We compute the Euler characteristic, and associated generating function, of the multipath complex for some families of graphs, including transitive tournaments and complete bipartite graphs. Then, we compute the homotopy type of multipath complexes of linear graphs, polygons, small grids and transitive tournaments. We show that they are all contractible or wedges of spheres. We introduce a new technique for decomposing directed graphs into dynamical regions, which allows us to simplify the homotopy computations.

Multipath cohomology of directed graphs

This work is part of a series of papers focusing on multipath cohomology of directed graphs. Multipath cohomology is defined as the (poset) homology of the path poset -- i.e., the poset of disjoint simple paths in a graph -- with respect to a certain functor. This construction is essentially equivalent, albeit more computable, to taking the higher limits of said functor on (a certain modification of) the path poset. We investigate the functorial properties of multipath cohomology. We provide a number of sample computations, show that the multipath cohomology does not vanish on trees, and that, when evaluated at the coherently oriented polygon, it recovers Hochschild homology. Finally, we use the same techniques employed to study the functoriality to investigate the connection with the chromatic homology of (undirected) graphs introduced by L. Helme-Guizon and Y. Rong.
