Stieltjes constants for Hurwitz-type L-series attached to periodic arithmetic functions

We investigate generalized Stieltjes constants attached to Hurwitz-type Dirichlet series of the form $$ L(s, f, x)=\sum_{n \geq 0} \frac{f(n)}{(n+x)^s} $$ where $f$ is a periodic arithmetic function and $x\in\mathbb C\backslash\{0,-1,-2,\dots\}.$ We prove that these series admit meromorphic continuation to the whole complex plane, with at most a simple pole at $s=1$. We further derive functional equations satisfied by $L(s,f,x).$ Our main result gives an explicit formulas of the Stieltjes constants $γ_n(f, x)$ appearing in the Laurent expansion at $s=1$. In particular, we obtain explicit evaluations in the case of rational $x$. As an application, we derive explicit closed-form expressions for the first three generalized Stieltjes constants associated with nonprincipal real primitive odd Dirichlet characters arising from quadratic fields. These expressions are given in terms of the class number of the corresponding quadratic number field. These results extend and unify recent work of Blagouchine and others on generalized Stieltjes constants and Hurwitz-type $L$-functions.

Repdigits as Product of Consecutive Shifted Tribonacci Numbers

A repdigit is a positive integer that has only one distinct digit in its decimal expansion, i.e., a number has the form $d(10^m-1)/9$ for some $m\geq 1$ and $1 \leq d \leq 9$. Let $\left(T_n\right)_{n\ge0}$ be the Tribonacci sequence. This paper deals with the presence of repdigits in the products of consecutive shifted Tribonacci numbers.

Perfect powers in sequences of polygonal numbers

Let $P_s(n)$ denote the $n$-th $s$-gonal number. Consider the Diophantine equation $P_{s}(n) = t^{m}$ for integers $n, s, t$ and $m > 2$. All solutions to this equation are known for $m>2$ and $s\in\{3,5,6,8,10,20\}$. Here we extend these results to the cases $s = 2k+4$ (where $k = 4,6$ or $5 \leq k \leq 97$ is a prime number) and $s = k+4$ (where $k = 9,15$ or $3 \leq k \leq 97$ is a prime number). The proofs of our results use the modular and hypergeometric methods, linear forms in logarithms and extensive calculations. We were unable to completely solve the above Diophantine equations, but we expect (based on GRH and the weak effective $abc$ conjecture) that there will be no additional solutions beyond those explicitly shown in Theorems~1, 2 and 3.

Pell or Pell-Lucas numbers as concatenations of two repdigits in base $b$

Let $b$ be a positive integer such that $2 \leq b \leq 10$. In this study, we find all Pell or Pell-Lucas numbers as concatenations of two repdigits in base $b$. As a corollary, it is show that the largest Pell or Pell-Lucas numbers which can be expressible as a concatenations of two repdigits in base $b$ are $P_{11} = 5741$ and $Q_5 = 82$, respectively.
