"Higgs" Factory at the Greek-Turkish Border

We would like to propose the construction of the photon collider based "Higgs factory" in the coming years at the Greek-Turkish border, starting from its test facility with a high energy photon beam. This proposal was among the contributions to the Open Symposium of the ESPG'12.

The fourth generation, linac-ring type colliders, preons and so on

Following a brief review of our contributions to the 2006 European PP Strategy, recent comments on several topics are presented. First of all, it is emphasized that only the simplest version of the fourth chiral generation, namely, minimal SM4 (mSM4) with only one Higgs doublet is in some tension with the recent LHC data on the Higgs boson search. This tension, which follows from the relative strengths of the H --> 4l and Higgs --> γγ channels, can be naturally resolved if there is a mechanism to enhance the H-->γγ width (although any charged and heavy particle could enhance the H-γ-γ loop, 2HDM can be given as an example). We then emphasize the possible role of the linac-ring type colliders, especially LHeC (QCD Exploder) and TAC super charm factory. The QCD Explorer will give opportunity to enlighten the origin of the 98.5% portion of the visible universe's mass. Especially the γ-nucleus option seems to be very promising for QCD studies. The TAC super charm factory may provide opportunity to investigate the charm physics with statistics well above that of the dedicated runs at Super-B factories. Finally, it is argued that the history of particle physics (and, more generally, the history of the investigation of the fundamental ingredients of the matter), a large number of "fundamental" particles, an inflation of observable free parameters, and, especially, the mixing of "fundamental" fermions favor the idea of a new set of fundamental particles at a deeper level. These new particles can be formulated with the preonic or even pre-preonic models.

A Preonic Model with Colour-Spin Symmetry

We have constructed a preonic model starting from a coloured fermionic preon and by postulating a new symmetry, MUSY. This new symmetry is defined via the MU number involving colour, charge and spin properties of the preons. We show that all the known fields of the Standard Model (SM) can be constructed using the fermionic preon and 6 preonic scalars, its MUSY partners. As an example, we present well known β-decay process at MUSY level. MUSY also forbids some processes such as proton decay (preserving the baryon number) and hence, it is compatible with current experimental results. In this model the number of SM generations arises to be three naturally. The MUSY generalization of the SUSY algebra is constructed and the MUSY invariant Lagrangian is also explicitly written. Similar to other preonic and supersymmetric models, a number of new particles are predicted. These particles do not interact with any of the SM fermions but only with the gauge bosons. These particles could be dark matter candidates.

OPUCEM: A Library with Error Checking Mechanism for Computing Oblique Parameters

After a brief review of the electroweak radiative corrections to gauge-boson self-energies, otherwise known as the direct and oblique corrections, a tool for calculation of the oblique parameters is presented. This tool, named OPUCEM, brings together formulas from multiple physics models and provides an error-checking machinery to improve reliability of numerical results. It also sets a novel example for an "open-formula" concept, which is an attempt to improve the reliability and reproducibility of computations in scientific publications by encouraging the authors to open-source their numerical calculation programs. Finally, we demonstrate the use of OPUCEM in two detailed case studies related to the fourth Standard Model family. The first is a generic fourth family study to find relations between the parameters compatible with the EW precision data and the second is the particular study of the Flavor Democracy predictions for both Dirac and Majorana-type neutrinos.

The E6 inspired isosinglet quark and the Higgs boson

We consider the experimental implications of the down type isosinglet quark, $D$, predicted by the $E_{6}$, group to Higgs boson searches at the LHC. The pair production of $D$ quarks at the LHC and their subsequent decays $D\to h d$ and $D\to W u$ has been analyzed. For a light Higgs boson of mass O(120 GeV), an analysis based on fast simulation of the ATLAS detector response shows that, the $b\bar{b}$ channel becomes as efficient as the $γγ$ channel for discovering the Higgs particle if $m_{D}<630$ GeV.

Accelerator Technology for the Mankind

Particle accelerators technology is one of the generic technologies which is locomotive of the development in almost all fields of science and technology. According to the U.S. Department of Energy: "Accelerators underpin every activity of the Office of Science and, increasingly, of the entire scientific enterprise. From biology to medicine, from materials to metallurgy, from elementary particles to the cosmos, accelerators provide the microscopic information that forms the basis for scientific understanding and applications. The combination of ground and satellite based observatories and particle accelerators will advance our understanding of our world, our galaxy, our universe, and ourselves." Because of this, accelerator technology should become widespread all over the world. Existing situation shows that a large portion of the world, namely the South and Mid-East, is poor on the accelerator technology. UNESCO has recognized this deficit and started SESAME project in Mid-East, namely Jordan. Turkic Accelerator Complex (TAC) project is more comprehensive and ambitious project, from the point of view of it includes light sources, particle physics experiments and proton and secondary beam applications. At this stage, TAC project includes: Linac-ring type charm factory Synchrotron light source based on positron ring Free electron laser based on electron linac GeV scale proton accelerator TAC-Test Facility. First part of this presentation is devoted to general status of particle accelerators around the world. The second part deal with the status of the TAC proposal.

Flavor Democracy in Particle Physics

The flavor democracy hypothesis was introduced in seventies taking in mind three Standard Model (SM) families. Later, this idea was disfavored by the large value of the t-quark mass. In nineties the hypothesis was revisited assuming that extra SM families exist. According to flavor democracy the fourth SM family should exist and there are serious arguments disfavoring the fifth SM family. The fourth SM family quarks lead to essential enhancement of the Higgs boson production cross-section at hadron colliders and the Tevatron can discover the Higgs boson before the LHC, if it mass is between 140 and 200 GeV. Then, one can handle "massless" Dirac neutrinos without see-saw mechanism. Concerning BSM physics, flavor democracy leads to several consequences: tan(beta) approx.eq. 40 if there are three MSSM families; super-partner of the right-handed neutrino can be the LSP; relatively light E(6)-inspired isosinglet quark etc. Finally, flavor democracy may give opportunity to handle "massless" composite objects within preonic models.

New Hadrons Formed by the Fourth SM Family and Iso-singlet Quarks

The properties of new heavy mesons containing new heavy quarks have been investigated. As an example, the fourth SM family quarks and weak isosinglet quarks predicted by E_{6} GUT are considered. Production of these hadrons at TeV energy lepton colliders have been analyzed.
