A model for the universe on the basis of a self interacting fermionic tachyon field is investigated here. It is shown that, devising a self interaction potential of a proper form, the fermionic tachyon field is capable of producing an accelerating expansion that at late time tends to a constant value which is in consistence with the cosmological constant. This way the introduced fermionic tachyon field can be interpreted as the source of dark energy.
We consider a non-canonic field in the context of Starobinsky inflation. We work in Einstein-frame. In this frame, the gravitational part of the action is equivalent to the Hilbert-Einstein action, plus a scalar field called scalaron. We investigate a model with a heavy scalaron trapped at the effective potential minimum, where its fluctuations are negligible. To be more explicit, we consider a Dirac-Born-Infeld (DBI) field, which is usually considered within the brane inflation context, as the non-canonic field. Although, the DBI field governs inflation through implicit dependence on Scalaron the boost factor, and other quantities are different from the standard DBI model. For appropriate parameters, this model is consistent with the Planck results.
Recently, it was proposed that a $T\overline{T}$ deformed CFT is dual to a gravity theory in an asymptotically AdS spacetime at finite radial cutoff. Motivated by this proposal, we explore some aspects of Hyperscaling Violating geometries at finite cutoff and zero temperature. We study holographic entanglement entropy, mutual information (HMI) and entanglement wedge cross section (EWCS) for entangling regions in the shape of strips. It is observed that the HMI shows interesting features in comparison to the very small cutoff case: It is a decreasing function of the cutoff. It is finite when the distance between the two entangling regions goes to zero. The location of its phase transition also depends on the cutoff, and decreases by increasing the cutoff. On the other hand, the EWCS is a decreasing function of the cutoff. It does not show a discontinuous phase transition when the HMI undergoes a first-order phase transition. However, its concavity changes. Moreover, it is finite when the distance between the two strips goes to zero. Furthermore, it satisfies the bound $ E_W \geq \frac{I}{2}$ for all values of the cutoff.
It is shown that it is possible to apply $δ\cN$ to some special non-canonic cases. We extended the multi-brid idea to the multi-field separable model with a non-canonical kinetic term, mainly the DBI model. Assuming a specific surface for the end of inflation and introducing new fields, enable us to find an explicit expression for the number of e-folds in terms of the new fields. By using $δ$N formalism, we arrived at the cosmological parameters. We considered the DBI model for two different limits, viz., speed limit and constant sound speed.
We consider a model of DBI inflation where two stacks of mobile branes are moving ultra relativistically in a warped throat. The stack closer to the tip of the throat is annihilated with the background anti-branes while inflation proceeds by the second stack. The effects of branes annihilation and particles creation during DBI inflation on the curvature perturbations power spectrum and the scalar spectral index are studied. We show that for super-horizon scales, modes which are outside the sound horizon at the time of branes collision, the spectral index has a shift to blue spectrum compared to the standard DBI inflation. For small scales the power spectrum approaches to its background DBI inflation value with the decaying superimposed oscillatory modulations.
The collisions of cosmic strings loops and the dynamics of junctions formations in expanding backgrounds are studied. The key parameter controlling the dynamics of junctions formation, the cosmic strings zipping and unzipping is the relative size of the loops compared to the Hubble expansion rate at the time of collision. We study analytically and numerically these processes for large super-horizon size loops, for small sub-horizon size loops as well as for loops with the radii comparable to the Hubble expansion rate at the time of collision.
