Multi-Snapshot Deep Denoising for Channel Estimation in OTFS Modulated Systems

A deep denoising based channel estimation framework is proposed for orthogonal time frequency space (OTFS) modulated systems, wherein channel state information (CSI) recovery is formulated as an image restoration problem. A salient attribute of the approach is the exploitation of structural invariance in the delay Doppler (DD) domain channel over a geometric coherence time, allowing multiple OTFS frames captured during this period to serve as noisy snapshots of the approximately identical channel. These snapshots jointly enhance the effectiveness of the proposed lightweight denoiser based on nonlinear activation free network (NAFNet). The method exhibits low computational complexity, operates reliably even at low pilot signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR), and can accommodate both fractional delay and fractional Doppler effects. Simulation results demonstrate significant performance gains over the existing methods.

Gaussian Mixture Model Based Bayesian Learning for Sparse Channel Estimation in Orthogonal Time Frequency Space Modulated Systems

A novel Gaussian mixture model (GMM) aided sparse Bayesian learning (SBL) framework is proposed for channel state information (CSI) estimation in orthogonal time-frequency space (OTFS) modulated systems. The key attribute of the proposed algorithm lies in casting CSI recovery as an SBL inference problem, where posterior distributions are iteratively refined under a hierarchical GMM prior. Using this approach, the sparsity-inducing variances beneficially promote sparsity in the delay Doppler (DD) domain, while additionally augmenting the capability of SBL to exploit channel statistics more effectively. Moreover, to fully exploit the GMMs ability to approximate arbitrary probability density functions and model complex multipath fading scenarios, the channel statistics are represented using a complex Gaussian mixture. Simultaneously, the method leverages time-domain (TD) pilots without requiring wasteful DD domain guard intervals, thereby ensuring low pilot overhead and high spectral efficiency. The CSI recovered is subsequently applied in a linear minimum mean square error (MMSE) detector for reliable data detection. To benchmark performance, the Oracle-MMSE and the Bayesian Cramèr Rao lower bound (BCRLB) are also derived. Our simulation results demonstrate significant performance improvement over the state of the art sparse estimation methods.

Structural balance and spectral properties of generalized corona product of signed graphs

In this paper, we extend our earlier proposal of corona product of signed graphs into generalized corona product of signed graphs inspired by the generalized corona product of unsigned graphs. Then we study structural balance and spectral properties of these graphs. Utilizing the notion of coronal of a graph, we determine computable formulae of characteristic, Laplacian, and signless Laplacian polynomials of generalized corona product of signed graphs. Finally, we provide sufficient conditions for the generalized corona product of some distinct collections of signed graphs to be co-spectral.

Corona product of signed graphs and its application to signed network modelling

The notion of corona of two graphs was introduced by Frucht and Harary in 1970. In this paper we generalize their definition of corona product of two graphs and introduce corona product of two signed graphs by utilizing the framework of marked graphs, which was introduced by Beineke and Harary in 1978. We study the structural and spectral properties of corona product of signed graphs. Further we define signed corona graphs by considering corona product of a fixed small signed graph with itself iteratively, and we call the small graph as the seed graph for the corresponding corona graphs. Signed corona graphs can be employed as a signed network generative model for large growing signed networks. We study structural properties of corona graphs that include statistics of signed links, all types of signed triads and degree distribution. Besides we analyze algebraic conflict of signed corona graphs generated by specially structured seed graphs. Finally we show that a suitable choice of a seed graph can produce corona graphs which preserve properties of real signed networks.

From Sharma-Mittal to von-Neumann Entropy of a Graph

In this article, we introduce the Sharma-Mittal entropy of a graph, which is a generalization of the existing idea of the von-Neumann entropy. The well-known R{é}nyi, Thallis, and von-Neumann entropies can be expressed as limiting cases of Sharma-Mittal entropy. We have explicitly calculated them for cycle, path, and complete graphs. Also, we have proposed a number of bounds for these entropies. In addition, we have also discussed the entropy of product graphs, such as Cartesian, Kronecker, Lexicographic, Strong, and Corona products. The change in entropy can also be utilized in the analysis of growing network models (Corona graphs), useful in generating complex networks.
