Quaternionic Reflections and Lie Generation in $G_2$

Let $\mathbb O$ be the real octonion division algebra and $\mathfrak g_2=\operatorname{Der}(\mathbb O)$. A quaternionic reflection $T\in G_2=\operatorname{Aut}(\mathbb O)$ fixes a quaternionic subalgebra pointwise and negates its orthogonal complement. For the associated compact symmetric pair $\mathfrak g_2=\mathfrak k_T\oplus\mathfrak m_T$, we give an explicit factored polynomial criterion for generation by an independently chosen even element and odd element. Equivalently, for the reflected pair $(Z,TZT)$ with $Z\in\mathfrak g_2$, the criterion is $\mathcal U_{38}=\mathcal R_{30}\mathcal H_8>0$. The degree-30 Gram determinant detects reducibility on $\operatorname{Im}\mathbb O$, while the degree-8 factor detects generated algebras of dimension at most three. A principal $\mathfrak{su}(2)$ is the remaining irreducible proper possibility. Such a reflected principal closure is realizable for a nonzero $Z$ if and only if its positive rotation frequencies have ratio $1:2:3$; for each such $Z$, all realizing reflections are parametrized by a two-torus and an open interval. A different restriction arises when $Z$ must lie in the stabilizer algebra $\mathfrak k_A\simeq\mathfrak{so}(4)$ of a fixed quaternionic subalgebra $H_A$. For every reflection moving $H_A$, a fixed list of six elements of $\mathfrak k_A$ contains a generating choice; reflections preserving $H_A$ admit none. For one explicit relative configuration $(\mathfrak k_A,S)$, we describe the entire nongenerating set by four geometric families and by six irredundant systems of scalar equations. We determine its real dimension and all generated algebras of dimension at most three; a homogeneous degree-34 polynomial packages the six tests. The degree is not asserted to be canonical or minimal. Two explicit local coordinate maps use short words in a finite-time pulse and one reflection, whose generated subgroup is dense in $G_2$.

Operational Foundations for Quaternionic and Octonionic Quantum Models: Exact Quaternionic Channels and Error Correction, Para-Linear Operators, and Categorical Closure Boundaries Beyond Associativity

A scalar field alone does not determine a quantum theory: states, effects, processes, symmetries, composition, and discard are equally structural. Realification illustrates this point: an orthogonal complex structure J^2 = -I selects the physical real operators and the balanced composite. Quaternionic quantum mechanics has an analogous exact representation on a doubled complex space selected by an antiunitary symplectic structure Theta^2 = -I. Within that sector, a Choi fixed-point condition characterizes when a complex channel admits quaternionic Kraus operators, while exact correction of a finite-dimensional right-quaternionic code is characterized by compression coefficients in the real center and admits an explicit recovery. For octonions, nonassociativity precludes a unique continuation; para-linear, categorical, sectorial, Jordan, Clifford-envelope, and Moufang models are compared by the operational structures they retain and the additional data required to define composites, channels, or recovery. Across these cases, an exact ambient representation does not erase the complex or symplectic structure that selects the physical theory.

Towards Enhanced RAC Accessibility: Leveraging Datasets and LLMs

This paper explores the potential of large language models (LLMs) to make the Aeronautical Regulations of Colombia (RAC) more accessible. Given the complexity and extensive technicality of the RAC, this study introduces a novel approach to simplifying these regulations for broader understanding. By developing the first-ever RAC database, which contains 24,478 expertly labeled question-and-answer pairs, and fine-tuning LLMs specifically for RAC applications, the paper outlines the methodology for dataset assembly, expert-led annotation, and model training. Utilizing the Gemma1.1 2b model along with advanced techniques like Unsloth for efficient VRAM usage and flash attention mechanisms, the research aims to expedite training processes. This initiative establishes a foundation to enhance the comprehensibility and accessibility of RAC, potentially benefiting novices and reducing dependence on expert consultations for navigating the aviation industry's regulatory landscape. You can visit the dataset (https://huggingface.co/somosnlp/gemma-1.1-2b-it_ColombiaRAC_FullyCurated_format_chatML_V1) and the model (https://huggingface.co/datasets/somosnlp/ColombiaRAC_FullyCurated) here.

Chern-Weil theory for $\infty$-local systems

Let $G$ be a compact connected Lie group. We show that the category $\mathbf{Loc}_{\infty}(BG)$ of $\infty$-local systems on the classifying space of $G$, can be described infinitesimally as the category $\mathbf{InfLoc}_{\infty}(\mathfrak{g})$ of basic $\mathfrak{g}$-$L_\infty$ spaces. Moreover, we show that, given a principal bundle $π\colon P \rightarrow X$ with structure group $G$ and any connection $θ$ on $P$, there is a DG functor $$\mathcal{CW}_θ \colon \mathbf{InfLoc}_{\infty}(\mathfrak{g}) \longrightarrow \mathbf{Loc}_{\infty}(X), $$ which corresponds to the pullback functor by the classifying map of $P$. The DG functors associated to different connections are related by an $A_\infty$-natural isomorphism. This construction provides a categorification of the Chern-Weil homomorphism, which is recovered by applying the functor $\mathcal{CW}_θ$ to the endomorphisms of the constant local system.
