FILLER: Feature Imputation via Latent Location Exploration and Retrieval

In real-world machine learning applications, incomplete observations create a fundamental challenge. Researchers have come up with several ideas to address this crucial problem. However, current models still face challenges in balancing scalability and structural consistency. This study proposes a feature imputation method, called FILLER, that deliberately searches the two-dimensional latent space produced by a generative model and fills the missing values with appropriate entries. The generative model is trained on fully observed data to generate samples from the latent space, and FILLER uses this trained model to impute the values missing in the corrupted test samples. In this study, G-NeuroDAVIS serves the purpose of the generative model. This work also presents a mathematical proof on the convergence of the iterative search. Finally, FILLER has been evaluated on several image datasets under random and structured missingness patterns with varying levels of imputation complexities. In order to justify the efficacy of FILLER, it has been compared against existing state-of-the-art solution strategies in terms of RMSE, PSNR, and SSIM. In addition, Wilcoxon signed-rank test has been carried out to validate statistical significance. Moreover, downstream analyses (classification and clustering) have also established the quality of imputation in terms of standard metrics.

Multiscalar field cosmological model and possible solutions using Noether symmetry approach

In this work, a cosmological model is considered having two scalar fields minimally coupled to gravity with a mixed kinetic term. The model is characterized by the coupling function and the potential function which are assumed to depend on one of the scalar fields. Instead of choosing these functions phenomenologically here, they are evaluated assuming the existence of Noether symmetry. By appropriate choice of a point transformation in the augmented space, one of the variables in the Lagrangian becomes cyclic and the evolution equations become much simpler to have solutions. Finally, the solutions are analyzed from cosmological view point.

Variable $G$ and $Λ$ gravity theory and analytical Cosmological Solutions using Noether symmetry approach

The present work deals with scalar field cosmology in the framework of a quantum gravity modified Einstein-Hilbert Lagrangian with variable $G$ and $Λ$. Using Renormalization group, variable $G$ behaves as a minimally coupled filed (not the scalar-tensor theory) and variable $Λ$ can be interpreted as a potential function. The point Lagrangian for this model in the background of homogeneous and isotropic flat FLRW space-time model experiences point-like Noether symmetry and equivalent potential function $Λ(G)$ is determined. Using a point transformation in the $3D$ augmented space is found that one of the variable become cyclic and as a consequence there is considerable simplification to the physical system. Lastly, the constants of motion can be written in compact form and it is possible to have analytic cosmological solutions in the present context.
