Spin Hall effect on a noncommutative space

We study the spin-orbital interaction and the spin Hall effect(SHE) of an electron moving on a noncommutative space under the influence of a vector potential A. On a noncommutative space we find that the commutator between the vector potential A and the electric potential V_1(r) of lattice induces a new term which can be treated as an effective electric field, and the spin-Hall conductivity obtains some correction. In addition, the spin current as well as spin-Hall conductivity have distinct values in different direction. On a noncommutative space we derive the spin-depended electric current whose expectation value gives the spin Hall effect and spin Hall conductivity. We have defined a new parameter ς=ρθ(ρis electron concentration, θis noncommutative parameter) which can be measured experimentally. Our approach is based on the Foldy-Wouthuysen transformation which give a general Hamiltonian of a non-relativistic electron moving on a noncommutative space.

Proposal and theoretical formalism for studying baryon radiative decays from J/ψ\to B^*\bar B + \bar{B^*}B \to γB\bar B

With accumulation of high statistics data at BESIII, one may study many new interesting channels. Among them, J/ψ\to B^*\bar B + \bar{B^*}B \to γB\bar B processes may provide valuable information of the radiative decays of the excited baryons (N^*,Λ^*,Σ^*,Ξ^*), and may shed light on their internal quark-gluon structure. Our estimation for the branching ratios of the nucleon excitations N^*(1440), N^*(1535) and N^*(1520) from the reaction J/ψ\to N^*\bar p + \bar N^* p \to γp\bar p, indicates that these processes can be studied at BESIII with 10^{10} J/ψevents. Explicit theoretical formulae for the partial wave analysis (PWA) of the J/ψ\to B^*\bar B +\bar B^* B with B^*\to B γand \bar B^*\to \bar Bγwithin covariant L-S Scheme are provided.

Wigner Functions for harmonic oscillator in noncommutative phase space

We study the Wigner Function in non-commutative quantum mechanics. By solving the time independent Schrödinger equation both on a non-commutative (NC) space and a non-commutative phase space, we obtain the Wigner Function for the harmonic oscillator on NC space and NC phase space respectively.

The Aharonov-Casher effect for spin-1 particles in non-commutative quantum mechanics

By using a generalized Bopp's shift formulation, instead of star product method, we investigate the Aharonov-Casher(AC) effect for a spin-1 neutral particle in non-commutative(NC) quantum mechanics. After solving the Kemmer equations both on a non-commutative space and a non-commutative phase space, we obtain the corrections to the topological phase of the AC effect for a spin-1 neutral particle both on a NC space and a NC phase space.

Landau Problem in Noncommutative Quantum Mechanics

The Landau problem in non-commutative quantum mechanics (NCQM) is studied. First by solving the Schr$\ddot{o}$dinger equations on noncommutative(NC) space we obtain the Landau energy levels and the energy correction that is caused by space-space noncommutativity. Then we discuss the noncommutative phase space case, namely, space-space and momentum-momentum non-commutative case, and we get the explicit expression of the Hamiltonian as well as the corresponding eigenfunctions and eigenvalues.

The He-McKellar-Wilkens effect for spin one particles in non-commutative quantum mechanics

The He-McKellar-Wilkens(HMW) effect for spin one neutral particle in non-commutative quantum mechanics is studied. By solving the Kemmer like equations on non-commutative (NC) space and non-commutative phase space, we obtain topological He-McKellar-Wilkens phase on NC space and NC phase space respectively, where the additional terms related to the space-space and momentum-momentum non-commutativity are given explicitly.

Non-commutative phase space and its space-time symmetry

First a description of 2+1 dimensional non-commutative(NC) phase space is presented, where the deformation of the planck constant is given. We find that in this new formulation, generalized Bopp's shift has a symmetric representation and one can easily and straightforwardly define the star product on NC phase space. Then we define non-commutative Lorentz transformations both on NC space and NC phase space. We also discuss the Poincare symmetry. Finally we point out that our NC phase space formulation and the NC Lorentz transformations can be applicable to any even dimensional NC space and NC phase space.

The Aharonov-Bohm Effect in Noncommutative Quantum Mechanics

The Aharonov-Bohm (AB) effect in non-commutative quantum mechanics (NCQM) is studied. First, by introducing a shift for the magnetic vector potential we give the Schr$\ddot{o}$dinger equations in the presence of a magnetic field on NC space and NC phase space, respectively. Then by solving the Schr$\ddot{o}$dinger equations, we obtain the Aharonov-Bohm (AB) phase on NC space and NC phase space, respectively.

Covariant tensor formalism for partial wave analyses of $ψ$ decays into $γγV$

The double radiative decays $ψ\toγγV$ with $V\equiv ρ,ω,ϕ$ have a potential to provide information on the flavor content of any meson resonances (R) with positive charge parity ($C=+$) and mass above 1 GeV through $ψ\toγR \toγγV$. To get the information, one needs both high statistic data and partial wave analysis (PWA). While high statistic data will be available soon at CLEO-c and BES-III, here we provide theoretical PWA formulae for these $ψ$ double radiative decay channels in the covariant tensor formalism.

Commutator Anomaly in Noncommutative Quantum Mechanics

In this letter, firstly, the Schr$\ddot{o}$dinger equation on noncommutative phase space is given by using a generalized Bopp's shift. Then the anomaly term of commutator of arbitrary physical observable operators on noncommutative phase space is obtained. Finally, the basic uncertainty relations for space-space and space-momentum as well as momentum-momentum operators in noncommutative quantum mechanics (NCQM), and uncertainty relation for arbitrary physical observable operators in NCQM are discussed.

Covariant tensor formalism for partial wave analyses of $ψ$ decays into $γB\bar B$, $γγV$ and $ψ(2S)\toγχ_{c0,1,2}$ with $χ_{c0,1,2}\to K\bar K π^+π^- $ and $2π^+2π^-$

With accumulation of high statistics data at BES and CLEO-c, many new interesting channels can get enough statistics for partial wave analysis (PWA). Among them, $ψ\to γp\bar p, γΛ\bar Λ, γΣ\barΣ, γΞ\bar Ξ$ channels provide a good place for studying baryon-antibaryon interactions; the double radiative decays $ψ\toγγV$ with $V\equiv ρ,ω,ϕ$ have a potential to provide information on the flavor content of any meson resonances (R) with positive charge parity ($C=+$) and mass above 1 GeV through $ψ\toγR \toγγV$; $ψ(2S)\toγχ_{c0,1,2}$ with $χ_{c0,1,2}\to K\bar K π^+π^- $ and $2π^+2π^-$ decays are good processes to study $χ_{cJ}$ charmonium decays. Using the covariant tensor formalism, here we provide theoretical PWA formulae for these channels.

Covariant tensor formalism for partial wave analyses of $ψ$ decays into $γB\bar B$

Recently BES2 collaboration observed an enhancement near the $p\bar p$ invariant mass spectrum. Using the covariant tensor formalism, here we provide theoretical formulae for the partial wave analysis (PWA) of the $ψ$ radiative decay channels $ψ\to γp\bar p, γΛ\bar Λ, γΣ\barΣ, γΞ\bar Ξ$ . By performing the Monte Carlo simulation, we give the angular distributions for the photon and proton in the process of $J/ψ\to γp\bar p$, which may serve as a useful reference for the future PWA on these channels.

Crystallographic Orbifolds: Towards a Classification of Unitary Conformal Field Theories with Central Charge c = 2

We study the moduli space C^2 of unitary two-dimensional conformal field theories with central charge c=2. We construct all the 28 nonexceptional nonisolated irreducible components of C^2 that may be obtained by an orbifold procedure from toroidal theories. The parameter spaces and partition functions are calculated explicitly, and all multicritical points and lines are determined. We show that all but four of the 28 irreducible components of C^2 corresponding to nonexceptional orbifolds are directly or indirectly connected to the moduli space of toroidal theories in C^2. We relate our results to those by Dixon, Ginsparg, Harvey on the classification of c=3/2 superconformal field theories and thereby give geometric interpretations to all nonisolated orbifolds discussed there.

The Orbifolds of N=2 Superconformal Theories with c=3

We construct Z_M, M= 2, 3, 4, 6 orbifold models of the N=2 superconformal field theories with central charge c=3. Then we check the description of the Z_3, Z_4 and Z_6 orbifolds by the N=2 superconformal Landau-Ginzburg models with c=3, by comparing the spectrum of chiral fields, in particular the Witten index Tr(-1)^F.
