The Modified Bargmann-Wigner Formalism: Longitudinal Fields, Parity and All That

In the old papers of Ogievetskii and Polubarinov, Hayashi, Kalb and Ramond the {\it notoph} concept, the longitudinal field originated from the antisymmetric tensor, has been proposed. In our work we analyze the theory of antisymmetric tensor field of the second rank from a viewpoint of the normalization problem. We obtain the 4-potentials and field strengths, which coincide with those which have been previously obtained in the works of Ahluwalia and Dvoeglazov. Slightly modifying the Bargmann-Wigner field function we conclude that it is possible to describe explicitly the degrees of freedom of the photon and of the {\it notoph} by the same equation. The physical consequences, such as parity properties of field functions, are discussed, relations to the previous works are discussed as well. Moreover, we derive equations for {\it symmetric} tensor of the second rank on the basis of the same modification of the Bargmann-Wigner formalism, i.e. the equations which describe dynamical behavior of the fields of maximal spin 2.

Vector Particle Interactions In the Quasipotential Approach

The composite system, formed by two $S=1$ particles, is considered. The field operators of constituents are transformed on the $(1,0)\oplus (0,1)$ representation of the Lorentz group. The problem of interaction of $S=1$ particle with the electromagnetic field is also discussed.

Gluonium as Bound State of Massive Gluons Described by the Joos-Weinberg Wave Functions

On the basis of the Kadyshevsky equal-time (quasipotential) approach, a set of partial-wave equations is derived for the wave function of a gluonium, a bound state of two gluons. The field operators of constituent gluons are considered as six component quantities according to the Joos-Weinberg $2(2S+1)$- component approach. The quasiclassical quantization condition for relativistic two-particle states and the above set could be used for calculations of gluonium energy levels.

Relativistic Covariant Equal-Time Equation For Quark-Diquark System

Relativistic three-dimensional quasipotential (equal-time) equations are considered, which describe bound states of fermion and boson of spin S=0 or S=1. The spin structure of the interaction quasipotentials in such systems is studied, and corresponding partial-wave equation for the simplest case is obtained. Such equations can be used in calculations of energy spectra, decay rates and structure functions of quark-diquark systems (nucleons and their resonances) as well as for description of ($πμ$)- atom.
