In this paper, we introduce the concept of operator geometrically convex functions for positive linear operators and prove some Hermite-Hadamard type inequalities for these functions. As applications, we obtain trace inequalities for operators which give some refinements of previous results.
In this paper, we not only give the extensions of the results given in [7] by Gill et al. for log-convex functions, but also obtain some new Hadamard type inequalities for log-convex, m-convex and (alpha,m)-convex functions.
An operator $T$ acting on a Hilbert space is called $(α,β)$-normal ($0\leq α\leq 1\leq β$) if \begin{equation*} α^{2}T^{\ast }T\leq TT^{\ast}\leq β^{2}T^{\ast}T. \end{equation*} In this paper we establish various inequalities between the operator norm and its numerical radius of $(α,β)$-normal operators in Hilbert spaces. For this purpose, we employ some classical inequalities for vectors in inner product spaces.
A generalisation of inner product spaces of an inequality due to Ostrowski and applications for sequences and integrals are given.
