Limitations of Freeze-in WIMP Dark Matter from Supercooled Phase Transitions

We revisit the possibility of producing Weakly Interacting Massive Particle (WIMP) dark matter via a freeze-in mechanism triggered by a supercooled first-order phase transition (FOPT) in the early universe. Unlike traditional freeze-out and FIMP scenarios, this mechanism relies on a rapid entropy injection that dilutes the preexisting dark matter abundance and prevents re-equilibration due to a sudden mass increase. In this study, we systematically examine a variety of single-component dark matter models-including vector, fermionic, and scalar-mediated candidates-to assess whether they can satisfy the key cosmological condition T2 >> T1, required for successful WIMP freeze-in after FOPT. Contrary to earlier results, our revised analysis finds that none of the models fulfill this condition across viable parameter spaces. We confirm, however, that the scalar dark matter model analyzed in Ref. [1] is the only known viable single-component model that fulfills T2 >> T1 and enables WIMP freeze-in via this mechanism. These findings place important constraints on model-building efforts and suggest that successful freeze-in after FOPT may require multi-component or more complex dark sectors beyond the scope of minimal models.

Gravitational wave signatures of first-order phase transition in two-component dark matter model

Here, we consider a classically scale-invariant extension of the Standard Model (SM) with two-component dark matter (DM) candidates, including a Dirac spinor and a scalar DM. We probe the parameter space of the model, constrained by relic density and direct detection, and investigate the generation of gravitational waves (GWs) produced by an electroweak first-order phase transition. The analysis demonstrates that there are points in the parameter space, leading to a detectable GW spectrum arising from the first-order phase transition, which is also consistent with the DM relic abundance and direct detection bounds. These GWs could be observed by forthcoming space-based interferometers such as the Big Bang Observer, Decihertz Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory, and Ultimate-Decihertz Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory.

Vector dark matter and LHC constraints, including a 95 GeV light Higgs boson

We study LHC searches for an extension of the Standard Model (SM) by exploiting an additional Abelian $U_D(1)$ gauge symmetry and a complex scalar Higgs portal. As the scalar is charged under this gauge symmetry, a vector dark matter (VDM) candidate can satisfy the observed relic abundance and limits from direct dark matter (DM) searches. The ATLAS and CMS experiments have developed a broad search program for the DM candidates, including associate production of Higgs boson, $Z$ boson, and top quark that couple to DM. In this paper, we perform an extensive analysis to constrain the model by using these experiments at LHC. It can be seen that the LHC results can exclude some parts of the parameter space that are still allowed by relic density and the direct detection searches. Using the LHC results, all scalar Higgs portal masses are excluded for the light VDM. Furthermore, exclusion limits on the parameter space of the model by using the new results of the CMS and ATLAS Collaborations for a new light Higgs boson with mass $\sim95~\rm GeV$ are provided.

Gravitational wave in a filtered vector dark matter model

We consider a first order phase transition (FOPT) for a Vector Dark Matter (VDM) in the early universe in which its mass may partially arise from such mechanism in the hidden sector. We calculate the ratio of VDM that may enter the bubble for various bubble wall velocities as well as various nucleation temperatures that produce the measured dark matter relic abundance via bubble filtering. In the following, we focus on gravitational wave (GW) signals which produced by FOPT and show that it can be detectable at the DECIGO, TianQin, LISA and Ultimate-DECIGO (UDECIGO) experiments.

Gravitational wave effects and phenomenology of a two-component dark matter model

We study an extension of the Standard Model (SM) which could have two candidates for dark matter (DM) including a Dirac fermion and a vector dark matter (VDM) under a new $U(1)$ gauge group in the hidden sector. The model is classically scale-invariant and the electroweak symmetry breaks because of loop effects. We investigate the parameter space allowed by current experimental constraints and phenomenological bounds. We probe the parameter space of the model in the mass range $1< M_V<5000$ GeV and $1<M_ψ<5000$ GeV. It has been shown that there are many points in this mass range that are in agreement with all phenomenological constraints. The electroweak phase transition has been discussed and it has been shown that there is region in the parameter space of the model consistent with DM relic density and direct detection constraints that, at the same time, can lead to first order electroweak phase transition. The gravitational waves produced during the phase transition could be probed by future space-based interferometers such as LISA and BBO.

W-boson mass anomaly and vacuum structure in vector dark matter model with a singlet scalar mediator

Motivated by the deviation of the W boson mass reported by the CDF collaboration, we study an extension of the Standard Model (SM) including a vector dark matter (VDM) candidate and a scalar mediator. In the model, the one-loop corrections induced by the new scalar, shift the W boson mass. We identify the parameter space of the model consistent with dark matter (DM) relic abundance, W mass boson anomaly, invisible Higgs decay at LHC, and direct detection of DM. It is shown that the W-mass anomaly can be explained for the large part of parameter space of VDM mass and scalar mediator mass between $100-124~\rm GeV$ by the model. We also investigate the renormalization group equations (RGE) at one-loop order for the model. We show that the contribution of new scalar mediator to RGE, guarantees positivity and vacuum stability of SM Higgs up to Planck scale.

Thermal Leptophilic Light Vector Dark Matter with Spinor Mediator and Muon (g-2) Anomaly

Inspired by the recently new measurement of $(g-2)_μ$ at FermiLab and reported upper bound for electron-dark matter (DM) recoil by the XENON1T collaboration, we revisited phenomenology of a light MeV scale vector dark matter in a leptophilic extension of standard model while a new spinor field plays the role of mediator. A viable parameter space is considered to discuss the possibility of light dark matter relic density as well as anomalous magnetic moment of the muon. We study DM-electron direct detection and cosmological bounds on the parameters space of the model. It is shown that although new bound of $(g-2)_μ$ anomaly greatly confines the parametric space of the model, the thermal light dark matter can exist for $\rm M_{DM}\sim 10^{-1}-10^{1}~\rm GeV$.

DAMPE Excess from Leptophilic Vector Dark Matter: Model Independent Approach

We study all extensions of the Standard Model (SM) with a vector dark matter (VDM) candidate which can explain the peak structure observed by recent DAMPE experiment in electron-positron cosmic ray spectrum. In this regard, we consider all leptophilic renormalizable VDM-SM interactions through scalar, spinor, and vector mediators. We show that only two out of six possible models could produce DAMPE signal by annihilation of VDM with the mass about 1.5 TeV in a nearby subhalo whilst simultaneously satisfying constraints from DM relic density, direct/indirect detection, and the collider bounds. These two models are the ones with scalar/pseudoscalar mediator $ ϕ$ with $ M_ϕ \in [1500,3000] $ GeV.

Conformal vector dark matter and strongly first-order electroweak phase transition

We study a conformal version of the Standard Model (SM), which apart from SM sector, containing a $ U_{D}(1) $ dark sector with a vector dark matter candidate and a scalar field (scalon). In this model the dark sector couples to the SM sector via a Higgs portal. The theory is scale-invariant in lowest order, therefore the spontaneous symmetry breaking of scale invariance entails the existence of a scalar particle, scalon, with vanishing zeroth-order mass. However, one-loop corrections break scale invariance, so they give mass to the scalon. Because of the scale invariance, our model is subjected to constraints which remove many of the free parameters. We put constraints to the two remaining parameters from the Higgs searches at the LHC, dark matter relic density and dark matter direct detection limits by PandaX-II. The viable mass region for dark matter is about 1-2 TeV. We also obtain the finite temperature one-loop effective potential of the model and demonstrate that finite temperature effects, for the parameter space constrained by dark matter relic density, induce a strongly first-order electroweak phase transition.

Scale-Invariant Two Component Dark Matter

We study a scale invariant extension of the standard model which can explain simultaneously dark matter and the hierarchy problem. In our set-up, we introduce a scalar and a spinor as two-component dark matter in addition to scalon field as a mediator. Interesting point about our model is that due to scale invariant conditions, compared to other two-component dark matter models, it has lower independent parameters. Possible astrophysical and laboratory signatures of two-component dark matter candidate are explored and it is shown that the most contribution of observed relic density of dark matter can be determined by spinor dark matter. Detectability of these dark matter particles is studied and the direct and invisible Higgs decay experiments are used to rule out part of the parameter space of the model. In addition, the dark matter self-interactions are considered and shown that their contribution saturate this constraint in the resonant regions.

Searching for Vector-Like Quarks in a Fermionic Dark Matter Model with Pseudoscalar: A Resonance Case

We propose a minimal model of a fermionic dark matter with a pseudoscalar mediator and N generation of vector-like quarks. We calculate the relic density and obtain new constraint on the generation of the aforementioned quarks. Concerning phenomenological aspects, we probe the presenting model via direct and indirect approaches. Finally, as an illustrative example, we evaluate a resonance case which has been (would be) the subject of major experiments aiming to detect new particles. Performing this analysis results in significant constraints on the coupling strength of the vector-like quarks.

The s-Channel Single Top Quark Production as a Constraint for $W'$ Boson Contribution

An analysis is performed to constrain the $W'$ boson production using the measurement of the s-channel single top quark production cross section. Both phenomenological and statistical approaches are examined and results are presented. In the best case, $W'$ bosons that interact only to the right-handed fermions are excluded below 1390 GeV. To our knowledge, it is the first time that the measured cross section of the s-channel single top quark production from the colliders is used to rule out part of the phase space of the $W'$ boson.

Freeze-in production of Fermionic Dark Matter with Pseudo-scalar and Phenomenological Aspects

In this paper, we study freeze-in production of fermionic dark matter with a pseudo scalar as the mediator between dark sector and Standard Model (SM). While the fermionic DM is non-thermal, we will explain two scenarios in which production of pseudo-scalar particles are either thermal or non thermal. We'll present elaborate discussion to derive yield quantity and relic density and illustrate these values for the different range of model parameters. We'll investigate constraints on parameters space coming from invisible Higgs decay at LHC. For the case of extremely small couplings and zero mixing between SM Higgs field with pseudo scalar field which pseudo scalar boson can play role of DM, we will justify recent observation of merging galaxies with a case of self-interacting DM. We'll show that influence of DM annihilation in this case, would provide a better fit to the AMS-02 data of positron flux.

Footprint of Triplet Scalar Dark Matter in Direct, Indirect Search and Invisible Higgs Decay

In this talk, we will review Inert Triplet Model (ITM) which provide candidate for dark matter (DM) particles. Then we study possible decays of Higgs boson to DM candidate and apply current experimental data for invisible Higgs decay to constrain parameter space of ITM. We also consider indirect search for DM and use FermiLAT data to put constraints on parameter space. Ultimately we compare this limit with constraints provided by LUX experiment for low mass DM and invisible Higgs decay.

Constraining Inert Triplet Dark Matter by the LHC and FermiLAT

We study collider phenomenology of inert triplet scalar dark matter at the LHC. We discuss possible decay of Higgs boson to dark matter candidate and apply current experimental data for invisible Higgs decay and $R_{γγ}$ to constrain parameter space of our model. We also investigate constraints on dark matter coming from forthcoming measurement, $R_{Zγ}$ and mono-Higgs production. We analytically calculate the annihilation cross section of dark matter candidate into $2γ$ and $Zγ$ and then use FermiLAT data to put constraints on parameter space of Inert Triplet Model. We found that this limit can be stronger than the constraints provided by LUX experiment for low mass DM.

Probing the top quark chromoelectric and chromomagnetic dipole moments in single top $tW$-channel at the LHC

We study the effects of chromoelectric and chromomagnetic dipole moments (CEDM and CMDM) on the production cross section of single top $tW$-channel at the LHC based on the effective Lagrangian approach. We show that the impact of CEDM and CMDM could be large. Using the experimental measurement of the $tW$-channel cross section, constraints on CEDM and CMDM are extracted. These constraints are comparable with the ones obtained from the top pair analysis.

Impact of Torsion Space-Time on $t\bar{t}$ observables at Hadron Colliders

Starting from the effective torsion space-time model, we study its effects on the top pair production cross section at hadron colliders. We also study the effect of this model on top pair asymmetries at the Tevatron and the LHC. We find that torsion space-time can explain forward-backward asymmetry according to measured anomaly at Tevatron. We find an allowed region in the parameters space which can satisfy simultaneously all $t\bar{t}$ observables measured at Tevatron and LHC.

Top pair Asymmetries at Hadron colliders with general $Z'$ couplings

Recently it has been shown that measurement of charge asymmetry of top pair production at LHC excludes any flavor violating $Z'$ vector gauge boson that could explain Tevatron forward-backward asymmetry (FBA). We consider the general form of a $Z'$ gauge boson including left-handed, right-handed vector and tensor couplings to examine FBA and charge asymmetry. To evaluate top pair asymmetries at Tevatron and LHC, we consider $B^0_q$ mixing constraints on flavor changing $Z'$ couplings and show that this model still explain forward-backward asymmetry at Tevatron and charge asymmetry can not exclude it in part of parameters space.
