Quantum-classical correspondence in resonant and nonresonant Rabi-Stark model

Testing the correspondence principle in nonlinear quantum systems is a fundamental pursuit in quantum physics. In this paper, we employed mean field approximation theory to study the semiclassical dynamics in the Rabi-Stark model (RSM) and showed that the nonlinear Stark coupling significantly modulates the semiclassical phase space structure. By analyzing the linear entanglement entropy of coherent states prepared in the classical chaotic and regular regions of the semiclassical phase space, we demonstrate that quantum-classical correspondence can be achieved in the RSM with large atom-light frequency ratios. While this correspondence fails in the resonant Rabi model because its truncated photon number is insufficient to approach the large quantum number limit, we discovered that in the resonant RSM when the nonlinear Stark coupling $U \to \pm 1$, the time-averaged linear entanglement entropy correlates strongly with the semiclassical phase space. In particular, when $U \to -1$, the truncated photon number in the resonant RSM is very close to that in the resonant Rabi model, but the time-averaged linear entanglement entropy still corresponds well with the semiclassical phase space. This result demonstrates that quantum-classical correspondence can be realized in the few-body resonant RSM.

Quantum Signatures of Chaos in Anisotropic Quantum Rabi Model

Quantum chaos is an intriguing topic and has attracted a great deal of interests in quantum mechanics and black hole physics. Recently, the exponential growth of out-of-time-ordered correlator (OTOC) has been proposed to diagnose quantum chaos and verify the correspondence principle. Here, good correspondence is found between the linear entanglement entropy and the semiclassical phase space structures in the anisotropic quantum Rabi model. The Loschmidt echo in the chaotic sea decays more faster than that in the stable island. However, the OTOCs grow exponentially at early times for the initial states centered both in the chaotic and stable regions. The exponential growth of the OTOC is attributed to quantum collapse that provides a novel mechanism of yielding exponential growth of the OTOC in quantum systems. Moreover, the quantum collapse effect is more obvious for the initial states centered in the chaotic one. The results show that in the anisotropic quantum Rabi model, the linear entanglement entropy, and Loschmidt echo are more effective than OTOC for diagnosing quantum chaotic signals.

Long-time signatures of chaos in large atom-light frequency ratios Rabi model

As one of the famous effects in quantum Rabi model (QRM), Rabi oscillation may lead to the occurrence of quantum dynamics behaviors without classical dynamic counterparts, such as quantum collapse and revival effects. In this paper, we focus on studying the long-time quantum signatures of chaos in the large atom-light frequency ratios Rabi model. It is shown that the saturated values of the entanglement entropy for initial states located in chaotic sea are higher than that in the regular regions, and the Husimi Q function are more dispersed in phase space. Moreover, we observed that the long-time average entanglement entropy and spin variance correspond well with the semiclassical phase space. Our results imply that the correspondence principle does not invalidated by quantum collapse and revival effects in the large atom-light frequency ratios Rabi model.

Magnetic reconnection and energy extraction from a Konoplya Zhidenko rotating non Kerr black hole

Recently, magnetic reconnection has attracted considerable attention as a novel energy extraction mechanism, relying on the rapid reconnection of magnetic field lines within the ergosphere. We have investigated the properties of the energy extraction via magnetic reconnection in a Konoplya-Zhidenko rotating non-Kerr black hole spacetime with an extra deformation parameter. Our results show that the positive deformation parameter expands the possible region of energy extraction and improves the maximum power, maximum efficiency, and the maximum ratio of energy extraction between magnetic reconnection and the Blandford-Znajek process. This means that in the Konoplya-Zhidenko rotating non-Kerr black hole spacetime one can extract more energy via magnetic reconnection than in the Kerr black hole case. These effects of the deformation parameter may provide valuable clues for future astronomical observations of black holes and verification of gravity theories.

Quantum instability and Ehrenfest time for an inverted harmonic oscillator

We investigate the classical-quantum correspondence in the inverted harmonic oscillator (IHO) system. It is shown that the out-of-time-order correlators (OTOCs) which the initial states are located at any position in the IHO system possess the same exponential growth rates (EGRs) as that at the saddle point, and their EGRs are twice the classical lyapunov exponent (CLE) of the saddle point. Through the time evolution of mean photon number and the OTOCs, we exhibit that the classical-quantum correspondence in the IHO system not only depends on the initial system photon number, but also on the central positions of the initial states in the phase space. Moreover, we use the Husimi Q function to visualize the quantum wave packets during the OTOCs grow exponentially.

Effect of system energy on quantum signatures of chaos in the two-photon Dicke model

We have studied entanglement entropy and Husimi $Q$ distribution as a tool to explore chaos in the quantum two-photon Dicke model. With the increase of the energy of system, the linear entanglement entropy of coherent state prepared in the classical chaotic and regular regions become more distinguishable, and the correspondence relationship between the distribution of time-averaged entanglement entropy and the classical Poincaré section has been improved obviously. Moreover, Husimi $Q$ distribution for the initial states corresponded to the points in the chaotic region in the higher energy system disperses more quickly than that in the lower energy system. Our result imply that higher system energy has contributed to distinguish the chaotic and regular behavior in the quantum two-photon Dicke model.

Energy extraction from a Konoplya-Zhidenko rotating non-Kerr black hole

We have investigated the properties of the ergosphere and the energy extraction by Penrose process in a Konoplya-Zhidenko rotating non-Kerr black hole spacetime. We find that the ergosphere becomes thin and the maximum efficiency of energy extraction decreases as the deformation parameter increases. For the case with $a M$, we find that the maximum efficiency can reach so high that it is almost unlimited as the positive deformation parameter is close to zero, which is a new feature of energy extraction in such kind of rotating non-Kerr black hole spacetime.

Strong gravitational lensing for the photons coupled to Weyl tensor in a Kerr black hole spacetime

We present firstly equation of motion for the photon coupled to Weyl tensor in a Kerr black hole spacetime and then study further the corresponding strong gravitational lensing. We find that black hole rotation makes propagation of the coupled photons more complicated, which brings some new features for physical quantities including the marginally circular photon orbit, the deflection angle, the observational gravitational lensing variables and the time delay between two relativistic images. There is a critical value of the coupling parameter for existence of the marginally circular photon orbit outside the event horizon, which depends on the rotation parameter of black hole and the polarization direction of photons. As the value of coupling parameter is near the critical value, we find that the marginally circular photon orbit for the retrograde photon increases with the rotation parameter, which modifies a common feature of the marginally circular photon orbit in a rotating black hole spacetime since it always decreases monotonously with the rotation parameter in the case without Weyl coupling. Combining with the supermassive central object in our Galaxy, we estimated the observables including time delays between the relativistic images in the strong gravitational lensing as the photons couple to Weyl tensor.

Strong gravitational lensing by a Konoplya-Zhidenko rotating non-Kerr compact object

Konoplya and Zhidenko have proposed recently a rotating non-Kerr black hole metric beyond General Relativity and make an estimate for the possible deviations from the Kerr solution with the data of GW 150914. We here study the strong gravitational lensing in such a rotating non-Kerr spacetime with an extra deformation parameter. We find that the condition of existence of horizons is not inconsistent with that of the marginally circular photon orbit. Moreover, the deflection angle of the light ray near the weakly naked singularity covered by the marginally circular orbit diverges logarithmically in the strong-field limit. In the case of the completely naked singularity, the deflection angle near the singularity tends to a certain finite value, whose sign depends on the rotation parameter and the deformation parameter. These properties of strong gravitational lensing are different from those in the Johannsen-Psaltis rotating non-Kerr spacetime and in the Janis-Newman-Winicour spacetime. Modeling the supermassive central object of the Milk Way Galaxy as a Konoplya-Zhidenko rotating non-Kerr compact object, we estimated the numerical values of observables for the strong gravitational lensing including the time delay between two relativistic images.
