AMECxSV: Adaptive Metadata-Driven Embedding-Fusion Calibration for X-Lingual Speaker Verification

In X-lingual automatic speaker verification (ASV), fixed front-end scores vary in reliability with language match, duration, and score source. We propose AMECxSV, an adaptive metadata-driven embedding-fusion calibration backend for metadata-available settings. AMECxSV fuses trial scores with metadata to produce calibrated target posteriors, with optional posterior-confidence abstention; metadata serve as calibration context, not speaker evidence. On a development-derived speaker-disjoint held-out split, score+metadata heads reduce equal error rate (EER) from 3.15% to 2.42% for the official TidyVoice score source and from 0.64% to 0.43% for LI-MSV; the dual-score head reaches 0.43% full-coverage EER. At 0.79 coverage, abstention yields 0.03% accepted-trial EER, not a full-coverage metric. Matched score-only, metadata-permutation, and metadata-only controls support a calibration-context interpretation and limit claims to metadata-available scoring.

Finite generation of Noether-Lefschetz divisors and the slope of the moduli space of cubic fourfolds

We study divisors on moduli spaces of cubic fourfolds with simple singularities and of quasi-polarized K3 surfaces of degree $2d$. For the moduli space of cubic fourfolds, we introduce a slope quantity to characterize the effective cone and prove an explicit bound for it. For the K3 moduli spaces, we give an explicit finite presentation of the rational Picard group by showing that it is generated by Noether-Lefschetz divisors of discriminant less than or equal to $4d$. As a byproduct, we obtain two explicit expressions for the Hodge class in terms of Noether-Lefschetz divisors, and we indicate analogous results for higher-codimension Noether-Lefschetz cycles.

Programmable calculus operations in electromagnetic space using space-time-coding metasurface

With the rapid advancement of metasurfaces and the increasing demand for programmable metasurfaces to simplify information systems, wave-based computation using metasurfaces has emerged as an attractive research topic. To facilitate the mathematical operations in electromagnetic (EM) space, here we propose a space-time coding metasurface (STCM) system capable of directly performing calculus operations on the spatial energy distributions of EM waves. By exploiting harmonic characteristics induced by time-varying coding, the responses of meta-atoms at specific harmonics can be flexibly controlled, which enables the metasurface system to address more complex tasks. Owing to its programmability, the STCM can dynamically switch functions in real time to accommodate different calculus tasks. To fully leverage the capability of STCM, we not only present the space-time coding sequences for differentiation and integration of EM waves, but also develop and numerically simulate the space-time coding sequences that can independently and simultaneously implement different calculus operations on the same incident EM waves. To experimentally validate the feasibility of the EM calculus operations, proof-of-concept experiments are conducted using a programmable 2-bit STCM. Good agreements among the theory, numerical simulations, and experiments confirm the feasibility of performing calculus operations in the EM space and demonstrate the broad application prospects of STCM in EM wave manipulations, wireless communications, and signal processing.

Local Ambiguity Shaping for Doppler-Resilient Sequences Under Spectral and PAPR Constraints

This paper focuses on designing Doppler-resilient sequences with low local Ambiguity Function (AF) sidelobes, subject to certain spectral and Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) constraints. To achieve this, we propose two distinctoptimization algorithms: (i) an Alternating Minimization (AM) algorithm for superior Weighted Peak Sidelobe Level (WPSL) minimization, and (ii) a low-complexity Augmented Lagrangian-assisted Majorization Minimization (ALaMM) algorithm with effective WPSL suppression. The proposed schemes hold great potential for sequence design in future 6G and integrated sensing and communication applications, supporting robust sensing under spectral coexistence constraints in high-mobility scenarios.
