G2PTL: A Pre-trained Model for Delivery Address and its Applications in Logistics System

Text-based delivery addresses, as the data foundation for logistics systems, contain abundant and crucial location information. How to effectively encode the delivery address is a core task to boost the performance of downstream tasks in the logistics system. Pre-trained Models (PTMs) designed for Natural Language Process (NLP) have emerged as the dominant tools for encoding semantic information in text. Though promising, those NLP-based PTMs fall short of encoding geographic knowledge in the delivery address, which considerably trims down the performance of delivery-related tasks in logistic systems such as Cainiao. To tackle the above problem, we propose a domain-specific pre-trained model, named G2PTL, a Geography-Graph Pre-trained model for delivery address in Logistics field. G2PTL combines the semantic learning capabilities of text pre-training with the geographical-relationship encoding abilities of graph modeling. Specifically, we first utilize real-world logistics delivery data to construct a large-scale heterogeneous graph of delivery addresses, which contains abundant geographic knowledge and delivery information. Then, G2PTL is pre-trained with subgraphs sampled from the heterogeneous graph. Comprehensive experiments are conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of G2PTL through four downstream tasks in logistics systems on real-world datasets. G2PTL has been deployed in production in Cainiao's logistics system, which significantly improves the performance of delivery-related tasks. The code of G2PTL is available at https://huggingface.co/Cainiao-AI/G2PTL.

Quantum phase transition in the one-dimensional Dicke-Hubbard model with coupled qubits

We study the ground state phase diagram of a one-dimensional two qubits Dicke-Hubbard model with XY qubit-qubit interaction. We use a numerical method combing the cluster mean-field theory and the matrix product state(MPS) to obtain the exact wave function of the ground state. When counter-rotating wave terms(CRTs) in the qubit-cavity coupling are neglected, we observe a rich phase diagram including a quantum phase transition between the Mott-insulating phase and the superfluid phase. This phase transition can be either the first-order or the second-order type depending on whether the total angular momentum changes across the phase diagram. Moreover, we observe two quantum triple points, at which three different phases coexist, with both positive and negative XY interactions. By further considering the effect of CRTs, we find that the main feature in the previous phase diagram, including the existence of quantum triple points, is retained. We also show that CRTs extremely demolish the non-local correlations in the coherent phase.

Effects of centrality fluctuation and deuteron formation on proton number cumulant in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}}$ = 3 GeV from JAM model

We studied the effects of centrality fluctuation and deuteron formation on the cumulants ($C_n$) and correlation functions ($\kappa_n$) of protons up to sixth order in most central ($b<3$ fm) Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}}$ = 3 GeV from a microscopic transport model (JAM). The results are presented as a function of rapidity acceptance within transverse momentum $0.4<p_{T}<2 $ GeV/$c$. We compared the results obtained by centrality bin width correction (CBWC) using charged reference particle multiplicity with CBWC done using impact parameter bins. It was found that at low energies the centrality resolution for determining the collision centrality using charged particle multiplicities is not good enough to reduce the initial volume fluctuations effect for higher-order cumulant analysis. New methods need to be developed to classify events with high centrality resolution for heavy-ion collisions at low energies. Finally, we observed that the formation of deuteron will suppress the higher-order cumulants and correlation functions of protons and is found to be similar to the efficiency effect. This work can serve as a noncritical baseline for the QCD critical point search at the high baryon density region.

Quantum tricritical point emerging in the spin-boson model with two dissipative spins in staggered biases

We study the spin-boson model (SBM) with two spins in staggered biases by a numerically exact method based on variational matrix product states. Several observables such as the magnetization, the entanglement entropy between the two spins and the bosonic environment, the ground-state energy, as well as the correlation function for two spins are calculated exactly. The characteristics of these observables suggest that the staggered biases can drive the 2nd-order quantum phase transition (QPT) to the 1st-order QPT in the sub-Ohmic SBM, while the Kosterlitz-Thouless QPT in the Ohmic SBM goes directly to the 1st-order one. A quantum tricritical point, where the continuous QPT meets the 1st-order one, can then be detected. It is found that the staggered biases would not change the universality of { the phase transition in this model} below the quantum tricritical point.

Rich phase diagram of quantum phases in the anisotropic subohmic spin-boson model

We study the anisotropic spin-boson model (SBM) with the subohmic bath by a numerically exact method based on variational matrix product states. A rich phase diagram is found in the anisotropy-coupling strength plane by calculating several observables. There are three distinct quantum phases: a delocalized phase with even parity (phase I), a delocalized phase with odd parity (phase II), and a localized phase with broken $Z_2$ symmetry (phase III), which intersect at a quantum tricritical point. The competition between those phases would give overall picture of the phase diagram. For small power of the spectral function of the bosonic bath, the quantum phase transition (QPT) from phase I to III with mean-field critical behavior is present, similar to the isotropic SBM. The novel phase diagram full with three different phases can be found at large power of the spectral function: For highly anisotropic case, the system experiences the QPTs from phase I to II via 1st-order, and then to the phase III via 2nd-order with the increase of the coupling strength. For low anisotropic case, the system only experiences the continuous QPT from phase I to phase III with the non-mean-field critical exponents. Very interestingly, at the moderate anisotropy, the system would display the continuous QPTs for several times but with the same critical exponents. This unusual reentrance to the same localized phase is discovered in the light-matter interacting systems. The present study on the anisotropic SBM could open an avenue to the rich quantum criticality.

Light Nuclei Production in Au+Au Collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}$ = 5-200 GeV from JAM model

Light nuclei production is sensitive to the baryon density fluctuations and can be used to probe the QCD phase transition in relativistic heavy-ion collisions. In this work, we studied the production of proton, deuteron, triton in central Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\mathrm{NN}}}$ = 5, 7.7, 11.5, 14.5, 19.6, 27, 39, 54.4, 62.4 and 200 GeV from a transport model (JAM). Based on the coalescence production of light nuclei, we calculated the energy dependence of rapidity density $dN/dy$ and particle ratios ($d/p$, $t/p$, and $t/d$). More importantly, the yield ratio $N_{{t}} \times N_{{p}} / N_{{d}}^{2}$, which is sensitive to the neutron density fluctuations, shows a flat energy dependence and cannot describe the non-monotonic trend observed by the STAR experiment. Based on the nucleon coalescence, this work can provide constraint and reference to search for the QCD critical point and/or first order phase transition with light nuclei production in future heavy-ion collision experiments.

Effects of resonance weak decays and hadronic re-scattering on the proton number fluctuations in Au + Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}} = 5$ GeV from JAM model

Proton number fluctuation is sensitive observable to search for the QCD critical point in heavy-ion collisions. In this paper, we studied rapidity acceptance dependence of the proton cumulants and correlation functions in most central Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}} = 5$ GeV from a microscopic hadronic transport model (JAM). At mid-rapidity, we found the effects of resonance weak decays and hadronic re-scattering on the proton cumulants and correlation functions are small, but those effects get larger when further increasing the rapidity acceptance. On the other hand, we found the baryon number conservation is a dominant background effect on the rapidity acceptance dependence of proton number fluctuations. It leads to a strong suppression of cumulants and cumulant ratios, as well as the negative proton correlation functions. We also studied those two effects on the energy dependence of cumulant ratios of net-proton distributions in most central Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}} = 5-200$ GeV from JAM model. This work can serve as a non-critical baseline for future QCD critical point search in heavy-ion collisions at high baryon density region.

Quantum Zeno effect in the multimode quantum Rabi model

We study the quantum Zeno effect (QZE) and quantum anti-Zeno effect (QAZE) of the multimode quantum Rabi model(MQRM). We derive an analytic expression for the decay rate of the survival probability where cavity modes are initially prepared as thermal equilibrium states. A crossover from QZE to QAZE is observed due to the energy backflow induced by high frequency cavity modes. In addition, we apply a numerically exact method based on the thermofield dynamics(TFD) theory and the matrix product states(MPS) to study the effect of squeezing of the cavity modes on the QZE of the MQRM. The influence of the squeezing angle, squeezing strength and temperature on the decay rate of the survival probability are discussed.

Quantum phase transitions in the spin-boson model without the counterrotating terms

We study the spin-boson model without the counterrotating terms by a numerically exact method based on variational matrix product states. Surprisingly, the second-order quantum phase transition (QPT) is observed for the sub-Ohmic bath in the rotating-wave approximations. Moreover, first-order QPTs can also appear before the critical points. With the decrease of the bath exponents, these first-order QPTs disappear successively, while the second-order QPT remains robust. The second-order QPT is further confirmed by multi-coherent-states variational studies, while the first-order QPT is corroborated with the exact diagonalization in the truncated Hilbert space. Extension to the Ohmic bath is also performed, and many first-order QPTs appear successively in a wide coupling regime, in contrast to previous findings. The previous pictures for many physical phenomena for the spin-boson model in the rotating-wave approximation have to be modified at least at the strong coupling.

Improved Silbey-Harris polaron ansatz for the spin-boson model

In this paper, the well-known Silbey-Harris (SH) polaron ansatz for the spin-boson model is improved by adding orthogonal displaced Fock states. The obtained results for the ground state in all baths converge very quickly within finite displaced Fock states and corresponding SH results are corrected considerably. Especially for the sub-Ohmic spin-boson model, the converging results are obtained for 0 < s < 1/2 in the fourth-order correction and very accurate critical coupling strengths of the quantum phase transition are achieved. Converging magnetization in the biased spin-boson model is also arrived at. Since the present improved SH ansatz can yield very accurate, even almost exact results, it should have wide applications and extensions in various spin-boson model and related fields.

Event-by-Event Efficiency Fluctuations and Efficiency Correction for Cumulants of Superposed Multiplicity Distributions in Relativistic Heavy-ion Collision Experiments

We performed systematic studies on the effects of event-by-event efficiency fluctuations on efficiency correction for cumulant analysis in relativistic heavy-ion collision experiments. Experimentally, particle efficiencies of events measured under different experimental conditions should be different. For fluctuation measurements, the final event-by-event multiplicity distributions should be the superposed distributions of various type of events measured under different conditions. We demonstrate efficiency fluctuation effects using numerical simulation, in which we construct an event ensemble consisting of events with two different efficiencies. By using the mean particle efficiencies, we find that the efficiency corrected cumulants show large deviations from the original inputs when the discrepancy between the two efficiencies is large. We further studied the effects of efficiency fluctuations for the cumulants of net-proton distributions by implementing the UrQMD events of Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}=7.7$ GeV in a realistic STAR detector acceptance. We consider the unequal efficiency in two sides of the Time Projection Chamber (TPC), multiplicity dependent efficiency, and the event-by-event variations of the collision vertex position along the longitudinal direction ($V_\mathrm{z}$). When the efficiencies fluctuate dramatically within the studied event sample, the effects of efficiency fluctuations have significant impacts on the efficiency corrections of cumulants with the mean efficiency. We find that this effect can be effectively suppressed by binning the entire event ensemble into various sub-event samples, in which the efficiency variations are relatively small. The final efficiency corrected cumulants can be calculated from the weighted average of the corrected factorial moments of the sub-event samples with the mean efficiency.

Zeno effect of the open quantum system in the presence of 1/f noise

We study the quantum Zeno effect (QZE) and quantum anti-Zeno effect (QAZE) in a two-level system(TLS) interacting with an environment owning 1/f noise. Using a numerically exact method based on the thermo field dynamics(TFD) theory and the matrix product states(MPS), we obtain exact evolutions of the TLS and bath(environment) under repetitive measurements at both zero and finite temperatures. At zero temperature, we observe a novel transition from a pure QZE in the short time scale to a QZE-QAZE crossover in the long time scale, by considering the measurement induced non-Markvoian effect. At finite temperature, we exploit that the thermal fluctuation suppresses the decay of the survival probability in the short time scale, whereas it enhances the decay in the long time scale.

Proton Cumulants and Correlation Functions in Au + Au Collisions at $\sqrt{s_\mathrm{NN}}$=7.7-200 GeV from UrQMD Model

We studied the acceptance dependence of proton cumulants (up to fourth order) and correlation functions in 0--5\% most central Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_\text{NN}}$=7.7, 11.5, 19.6, 27, 39, 62.4 and 200 GeV from UrQMD model. We found that high order proton cumulants show suppressions at large acceptance. By decomposing the proton cumulants into linear combination of multi-proton correlation functions, we observed the two-proton correlation functions always show negative values due to the effects of baryon number conservations. The three and four-proton correlation functions are close to zero and show negligible acceptance dependence. We further observed that the proton cumulants and correlation functions follow similar trends and show a scaling behavior when plotting the results versus mean number of protons. The comparisons between experimental data and the UrQMD calculations show that the non-monotonic energy dependence of proton correlation functions measured by STAR experiment cannot be described by the UrQMD model. The UrQMD calculations can provide us baselines for the experimental studies of the proton cumulants and correlation functions. Finally, we propose to measure the rapidity dependence of the reduced proton correlation functions to search for the QCD critical point in heavy-ion collisions.

Zeno and anti-Zeno effect in an open quantum system in the ultrastrong-coupling regime

We study the quantum Zeno effect (QZE) and quantum anti-Zeno effect (QAZE) of a two-level system interacting with an environment of harmonic oscillators, the spin-boson model. By applying a numerically exact method based on matrix product states, the previously obtained picture on the influence of counter-rotating terms has to be modified: For physical bath initial states, the transition from QZE to QAZE with increasing measurement interval is only absent at weak coupling, while present at strong coupling. Furthermore, we find that the transition occurs always for the widely used bare bath initial state. Within a more realistic measurement scheme where only the qubit is projectively measured, the above scenario for the bare bath initial state remains qualitatively unchanged, apart from accelerated decay for intermediate measurement intervals.

Effects of Nuclear Potential on the Cumulants of Net-Proton and Net-Baryon Multiplicity Distributions in Au+Au Collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\text{NN}}} = 5\,\text{GeV}$

We analyze the rapidity and transverse momentum dependence for the cumulants of the net-proton and net-baryon distributions in Au+Au collisions at $\sqrt{s_{\text{NN}}} = 5\,\text{GeV}$ with a microscopic hadronic transport (JAM) model. To study the effects of mean field potential and softening of equation of state (EoS) on the fluctuations of net-proton (baryon) in heavy-ion collisions, the calculations are performed with two different modes. The softening of EoS is realized in the model by implementing the attractive orbit in the two-body scattering to introduce a reduction pressure of the system. By comparing the results from the two modes with the results from default cascade, we find the mean field potential and softening of EoS have strong impacts on the rapidity distributions ($\text{d}N/\text{d}y$) and the shape of the net-proton (baryon) multiplicity distributions. The net-proton (baryon) cumulants and their ratios calculated from all of the three modes are with similar trends and show significant suppression with respect to unity, which can be explained by the presence of baryon number conservations. It indicates that the effects of mean field potential and softening of EoS might be not the ingredients that are responsible to the observed strong enhancement in the most central Au+Au collisions at 7.7 GeV measured by the STAR experiment at RHIC.

Analytical solutions and genuine multipartite entanglement of the three-qubit Dicke model

We present analytical solutions to three qubits and a single-mode cavity coupling system beyond the rotating-wave approximation (RWA). The zero-th order approximation gives correct solutions when the qubits are far detuned from the cavity. The first order approximation, called generalized rotating-wave approximation (GRWA), produces an effective solvable Hamiltonian with the same form as the ordinary RWA one and exhibits substantial improvements of energy levels over the RWA even on resonance. Based on these analytical eigen-solutions, we study both the bipartite entanglement and genuine multipartite entanglement (GME). The dynamics of the concurrence and the GME using the GRWA are in consistent with the numerical ones. Interestingly, the well known sudden death of entanglement occurs in the bipartite entanglement dynamics but not in GME dynamics.

Solution of the two-mode quantum Rabi model using extended squeezed states

The two-mode quantum Rabi model with bilinear coupling is studied using extended squeezed states. We derive $G$-functions for each Bargmann index $q$% . They share a common structure with the $G$-function of the one-photon and two-photon quantum Rabi models. The regular spectrum is given by zeros of the $G$-function while the conditions for the presence of doubly degenerate (exceptional) eigenvalues are obtained in closed form through the lifting property. The simple singularity structure of the $G$-function allows to draw conclusions about the distribution of eigenvalues along the real axis and to understand the spectral collapse phenomenon when the coupling reaches a critical value.

Quantum phase transitions of the spin-boson model within multi-coherent-states

A variational approach based on the multi-coherent-state ansatz with asymmetric parameters is employed to study the ground state of the spin-boson model. Without any artificial approximations except for the finite number of the coherent states, we find the robust Gaussian critical behavior in the whole sub-Ohmic bath regime. The converged critical coupling strength can be estimated with the $1/N$ scaling, where $N $ is the number of the coherent states. It is strongly demonstrated the breakdown of the well-known quantum-to-classical mapping for $1/2<s<1$. In addition, the entanglement entropy displays more steep jump around the critical points for the Ohmic bath than the sub-Ohmic bath.
