OccPlanner: Goal-Aware Occupancy-Conditioned Diffusion Planner for Pixel-Goal Navigation

Pixel-goal navigation specifies targets directly in the agent's camera view, but a target pixel provides neither metric depth nor traversability, making 3D goal grounding and collision-free continuous planning challenging. We present OccPlanner, a goal-aware occupancy-conditioned diffusion planner that grounds pixel goals in egocentric metric space and sequentially conditions the goal representation on temporal visual context and learned local 3D occupancy features. To provide occupancy supervision at scale, we introduce L3ROcc, which converts monocular RGB navigation videos into robot-centric local 3D occupancy annotations through geometric reconstruction and ray-based visibility reasoning. We train OccPlanner on InternData-N1 and evaluate it in closed-loop simulation across four unseen scene categories from InternScenes and two goal-distance ranges. In the 5-8 m setting, OccPlanner increases the average success rate (SR) over NavDP from 20.81% to 71.55% across the four categories, reaching 86.20% and 84.92% in cluttered-easy and cluttered-hard scenes, respectively. Real-world open-loop experiments on a Unitree Go2 further provide initial evidence of sim-to-real transfer and adaptation with L3ROcc-generated supervision.

Noisy Disentanglement with Tri-stage Training for Noise-Robust Speech Recognition

To enhance the performance of end-to-end (E2E) speech recognition systems in noisy or low signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) conditions, this paper introduces NoisyD-CT, a novel tri-stage training framework built on the Conformer-Transducer architecture. The core of NoisyD-CT is a especially designed compact noisy disentanglement (NoisyD) module (adding only 1.71M parameters), integrated between the Conformer blocks and Transducer Decoder to perform deep noise suppression and improve ASR robustness in challenging acoustic noise environments. To fully exploit the noise suppression capability of the NoisyD-CT, we further propose a clean representation consistency loss to align high-level representations derived from noisy speech with those obtained from corresponding clean speech. Together with a noisy reconstruction loss, this consistency alignment enables the NoisyD module to effectively suppress noise while preserving essential acoustic and linguistic features consistent across both clean and noisy conditions, thereby producing cleaner internal representations that enhance ASR performance. Moreover, our tri-stage training strategy is designed to fully leverage the functionalities of both the noisy disentanglement and speech recognition modules throughout the model training process, ultimately maximizing performance gains under noisy conditions. Our experiments are performed on the LibriSpeech and CHiME-4 datasets, extensive results demonstrate that our proposed NoisyD-CT significantly outperforms the competitive Conformer-Transducer baseline, achieving up to 25.7% and 10.6% relative word error rate reductions on simulated and real-world noisy test sets, respectively, while maintaining or even improving performance on clean speech test sets. The source code, model checkpoint and data simulation scripts will be available at https://github.com/litchimo/NoisyD-CT.

Behavioral Conflict Avoidance Between Humans and Quadruped Robots in Shared Environments

Nowadays, robots are increasingly operated in environments shared with humans, where conflicts between human and robot behaviors may compromise safety. This paper presents a proactive behavioral conflict avoidance framework based on the principle of adaptation to trends for quadruped robots that not only ensures the robot's safety but also minimizes interference with human activities. It can proactively avoid potential conflicts with approaching humans or other dynamic objects, whether the robot is stationary or in motion, then swiftly resume its tasks once the conflict subsides. An enhanced approach is proposed to achieve precise human detection and tracking on vibratory robot platform equipped with low-cost hybrid solid-state LiDAR. When potential conflict detected, the robot selects an avoidance point and executes an evasion maneuver before resuming its task. This approach contrasts with conventional methods that remain goal-driven, often resulting in aggressive behaviors, such as forcibly bypassing obstacles and causing conflicts or becoming stuck in deadlock scenarios. The selection of avoidance points is achieved by integrating static and dynamic obstacle to generate a potential field map. The robot then searches for feasible regions within this map and determines the optimal avoidance point using an evaluation function. Experimental results demonstrate that the framework significantly reduces interference with human activities, enhances the safety of both robots and persons.

Measure of Morality: A Mathematical Theory of Egalitarian Ethics

This paper develops a rigorous mathematical framework for egalitarian ethics by integrating formal tools from economics and mathematics. We motivate the formalism by investigating the limitations of conventional informal approaches by constructing examples such as probabilistic variant of the trolley dilemma and comparisons of unequal distributions. Our formal model, based on canonical welfare economics, simultaneously accounts for total utility and the distribution of outcomes. The analysis reveals deficiencies in traditional statistical measures and establishes impossibility theorems for rank-weighted approaches. We derive representation theorems that axiomatize key inequality measures including the Gini coefficient and a generalized Atkinson index, providing a coherent, axiomatic foundation for normative philosophy.

InfiAgent-DABench: Evaluating Agents on Data Analysis Tasks

In this paper, we introduce InfiAgent-DABench, the first benchmark specifically designed to evaluate LLM-based agents on data analysis tasks. These tasks require agents to end-to-end solving complex tasks by interacting with an execution environment. This benchmark contains DAEval, a dataset consisting of 257 data analysis questions derived from 52 CSV files, and an agent framework which incorporates LLMs to serve as data analysis agents for both serving and evaluation. Since data analysis questions are often open-ended and hard to evaluate without human supervision, we adopt a format-prompting technique to convert each question into a closed-form format so that they can be automatically evaluated. Our extensive benchmarking of 34 LLMs uncovers the current challenges encountered in data analysis tasks. In addition, building on top of our agent framework, we develop a specialized agent, DAAgent, which surpasses GPT-3.5 by 3.9% on DABench. Evaluation datasets and toolkits for InfiAgent-DABench are released at https://github.com/InfiAgent/InfiAgent .

Comprehending Semantic Types in JSON Data with Graph Neural Networks

Semantic types are a more powerful and detailed way of describing data than atomic types such as strings or integers. They establish connections between columns and concepts from the real world, providing more nuanced and fine-grained information that can be useful for tasks such as automated data cleaning, schema matching, and data discovery. Existing deep learning models trained on large text corpora have been successful at performing single-column semantic type prediction for relational data. However, in this work, we propose an extension of the semantic type prediction problem to JSON data, labeling the types based on JSON Paths. Similar to columns in relational data, JSON Path is a query language that enables the navigation of complex JSON data structures by specifying the location and content of the elements. We use a graph neural network to comprehend the structural information within collections of JSON documents. Our model outperforms a state-of-the-art existing model in several cases. These results demonstrate the ability of our model to understand complex JSON data and its potential usage for JSON-related data processing tasks.
