From $L_\infty$ algebroids to $L_\infty$ spaces: Part I

The notion of $L_\infty$ spaces over dg manifolds is developed. An equivalence between the category of transitive $L_\infty$ algebroids and that of $L_\infty$ spaces is established, and this equivalence detects weak equivalences. Moreover, a faithful functor from $L_\infty$ algebroids to $L_\infty$ spaces is constructed, which also detects weak equivalences.

Homotopy theory for curved $L_\infty$ spaces

This paper proves that $L_\infty$ spaces over a dg manifold form a category of fibrant objects. Together with the first main result of the companion paper [CJ26], this implies that transitive $L_\infty$ algebroids over a dg manifold also form a category of fibrant objects.

Almost Vector Bundles over Perfectoid Spaces

In this paper, we define vector bundles within the framework of almost mathematics (referred to as almost vector bundles) and establish the $v$-descent theorem together with a structure theorem for these bundles over perfectoid spaces. The proof yields several interesting intermediate results.

Cohomological field theories and generalized Seiberg-Witten equations

We introduce a formalism for constructing cohomological field theories (CohFT) out of nonlinear PDEs based on the first author's previous work (arXiv:2202.12425). We apply the formalism to the generalized Seiberg-Witten equations and show that the obtained CohFT functionals agree with the existing ones proposed by physicists. This leads to a unified perspective from which to view the full supersymmetric functionals of the Donaldson-Witten, Seiberg-Witten, and Kapustin-Witten theories and understand the relations between them. We also outline a quantization program for our framework and discuss its potential to produce manifold invariants and quantum cohomologies.

Variational aspects of the generalized Seiberg-Witten functional

In this paper, as a step towards a unified mathematical treatment of the gauge functionals from quantum field theory that have found profound applications in mathematics, we generalize the Seiberg-Witten functional that in particular includes the Kapustin-Witten functional as a special case. We first demonstrate the smoothness of weak solutions to this generalized functional. We then establish the existence of weak solutions under the assumption that the structure group of the bundle is abelian, by verifying the Palais-Smale compactness.

Cohomological Lagrangian field theory

This paper introduces a geometric framework for classical cohomological field theories based on $G^{\star}$-algebras and gauge natural field theories. A BV-BFV extension of the framework is provided, which incorporates the cotangent lift of the Donaldson-Witten theory as an illustrative example.

Gauge theory on graphs

In this paper, we provide the notions of connection $1$-forms and curvature $2$-forms on graphs. We prove a Weitzenböck formula for connection Laplacians in this setting. We also define a discrete Yang-Mills functional and study its Euler-Lagrange equations.

Mathematical structures of cohomological field theories

A mathematical framework of cohomological field theories (CohFTs) is formulated in the language of bigraded manifolds. Algebraic properties of operators in CohFTs are studied. Methods of constructing CohFTs, with or without gauge symmetries, are discussed. In particular, a generalization of the Mathai-Quillen formalism is given. Examples such as topological quantum mechanics, topological sigma model, topological M-theory, and topological Yang-Mills theory can be obtained uniformly using this new formalism.

Monoidally graded manifolds

We give a generalization of the theory of $\mathbb{Z}_2$-graded manifolds to a theory of $\mathcal{I}$-graded manifolds, where $\mathcal{I}$ is a commutative semi-ring with some additional properties. We prove Batchelor's theorem in this generalized setting. To our knowledge, such a proof is still missing except for some special cases.

A note on the Bloch representation of absolutely maximally entangled states

The absolutely maximally entangled (AME) states play key roles in quantum information processing. We provide an explicit expression of the generalized Bloch representation of AME states for general dimension $d$ of individual subsystems and arbitrary number of partite $n$. Based on this analytic formula, we prove that the trace of the squared support for any given weight is given by the so-called hyper-geometric function and is irrelevant with the choices of the subsystems. The optimal point for the existence of AME states is obtained.
