A Unified Integral Equation Approach to Conservation Laws for Nonlinear Schr\"odinger Equations

We present a unified framework for the rigorous derivation of conservation laws and related identities for nonlinear Schr\"odinger equations with power-type nonlinearities. This approach treats the equation in its Duhamel form and uses the space-time integrability provided by Strichartz estimates, without relying on smooth approximations or regularization procedures. It was first introduced by the third author in [20] and subsequently developed in [7, 13]. In this paper, we establish a single integral identity from which all of the laws and identities considered here follow systematically. These include the conservation of charge (mass), energy, and momentum, the pseudo-conformal conservation law, and virial-type identities.

A comparison of the weakest contractive conditions for Banach and Kannan mappings

We study the weakest convergence-type conditions for fixed point results for Banach and Kannan mappings. Building on Suzuki's weakest condition for Banach mappings and our previous result for Kannan mappings, we compare convergence conditions defined along Picard sequences. We give a direct proof that several weakest convergence conditions are equivalent for Kannan-type mappings on complete metric spaces. This proof is achieved without assuming the completeness or the convergence of Picard sequences; it deduces the equivalence only from the existence of fixed points. In contrast, we construct a counterexample showing that the corresponding equivalence fails for Banach contractions. Finally, we prove that this discrepancy disappears on G-complete metric spaces, clarifying the role of completeness in weakest fixed point theory.

Exponential Decay of $L^2$-Solutions to Stochastic Nonlinear Schr\"odinger Equations Driven by Continuous Martingales

We investigate the global well-posedness and asymptotic behavior of $L^2$-solutions to stochastic nonlinear Schr\"odinger equations with multiplicative noise driven by continuous square integrable martingales with density. Our approach relies on a rescaling transformation that converts the stochastic system into a random nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation with a potential acting as a damping term. Unlike the standard Brownian motion case, this induced potential plays a critical role in the dynamics. We establish the global existence of solutions and prove the pathwise exponential decay of the $L^2$-norm. Crucially, the strict positivity of the decay rate is intrinsically induced by the density of the martingale\rq{}s quadratic variation. This result generalizes the stabilization known for standard Brownian motion, thereby characterizing the stabilizing effect of the martingale noise.

Remarks on the derivation of the virial identity for nonlinear Schr\"odinger equations

We revisit the derivation of the virial identity for nonlinear Schr\"odinger equations. In \cite{O06, FM17}, several conservation laws, such as for the charge and the energy, were derived without constructing a sequence of approximate solutions. Their approach involves additional properties of solutions due to Strichartz' estimate. In this paper, we derive the virial identity without constructing the sequence of approximate solutions or employing a regularizing argument for weights, by exploiting the properties of solutions.

On the weakest conditions for the existence of fixed points of Kannan and Chatterjea type contractions

In this paper, we study the weakest possible conditions for fixed point theorems involving two classes of mappings defined by Kannan and Chatterjea. Our approach relies on the so-called CJM condition, which was originally introduced by \'Ciri\'c [5], and later, Suzuki [18] showed that the CJM condition is necessary for the existence of fixed points and the convergence of all Picard sequences of Banach type mappings. Our aim is to extend Suzuki's approach to the case of Kannan and Chatterjea mappings. In particular, in the first case, we discuss the equivalence of previously known conditions and establish that our conditions are optimal for ensuring that all Picard sequences converge to a fixed point of a mapping.

Global solution for the stochastic nonlinear Schr\"odinger system with quadratic interaction in four dimensions

We discuss the global existence of solutions to a system of stochastic Schr\"odinger equations with multiplicative noise. Our setting of the quadratic nonlinear terms in dimension 4 is $L^2$-critical. We treat the solutions under the ground state. We estimate the time derivative of the quantity of energy by using the cancellation of the cubic terms in the spatial derivative of the solution.

Global solutions of stochastic nonlinear Schr\"odinger system with quadratic interaction

The time-global existence of solutions to a system of stochastic Schr\"odinger equations with multiplicative noise and the quadratic nonlinear terms are discussed in this paper. The same system in the deterministic treatment was studied in [18] where the mass and energy are conserved. In our stochastic situation, those are not conserved and which causes several difficulties in the arguments of composing a-priori estimate.

Revisiting the Rellich inequality

We revisit the Rellich inequality from the viewpoint of isolating the contributions from radial and spherical derivatives. This naturally leads to a comparison of the norms of the radial Laplacian and Laplace{Beltrami operators with the standard Laplacian. In the case of the Laplace{ Beltrami operator, the three-dimensional case is the most subtle and here we improve a result of Evans and Lewis by identifying the best constant. Our arguments build on certain identities recently established by Wadade and the second and third authors, along with use of spherical harmonics.

On the compactness of the (non)radial Sobolev spaces

In this note, we give the affirmative answer of the question in [18], which is a compactness result of the non-radial Sobolev spaces. As an application, we show the existence of an extremal function of the critical Hardy inequality under spherical average zero. Next, we give an improvement of the compactness results of the radial Sobolev spaces in [8]. In Appendix, we give an alternative proof of Hardy type inequalities under spherical average zero.

The well-posedness of the stochastic nonlinear Schr\"odinger equations in $H^2(\mathbb{R}^d)$

The Cauchy problem for the stochastic nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation with multiplicative noise is considered where the nonlinear term is of power type and the noise coefficients are purely imaginary numbers. The main purpose of this paper is to construct classical solutions in $H^2(\mathbb{R}^d)$ for the problem. The techniques of Kato \cite{K87,K89} work well in overcoming this difficulty even for the stochastic equations.

Blow-up solutions for non-scale-invariant nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation in one dimension

In this paper, we consider the mass-critical nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation in one dimension. Ogawa--Tsutsumi [19] proved a blow-up result for negative energy solution by using a scaling argument for initial data. By the reason, the method cannot be used to an equation with a linear potential. So, we modify the proof and get that for the equation with the linear potential.

Non-delay limit in the energy space from the nonlinear damped wave equation to the nonlinear heat equation

We consider a singular limit problem from the damped wave equation with a power type nonlinearity to the corresponding heat equation. We call our singular limit problem non-delay limit. Our proofs are based on the argument for non-relativistic limit from the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation to the nonlinear Schr\"{o}dinger equation by the second author, Nakanishi, and Ozawa (2002), Nakanishi (2002), and Masmoudi and Nakanishi (2002). We can obtain better results for the non-delay limit problem than that for the non-relativistic limit problem due to the dissipation property. More precisely, we get the better convergence rate of the $L^2$-norm and we also obtain the global-in-time uniform convergence of the non-delay limit in the $L^2$-supercritical case.

Blowup solutions for the nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation with complex coefficient

We construct a finite time blow up solution for the nonlinear Schr\"odinger equation with the power nonlinearity whose coefficient is complex number. We generalize the range of both the power and the complex coefficient for the result of Cazenave, Martel and Zhao \cite{CMZ}. As a bonus, we may consider the space dimension $5$. We show a sequence of solutions closes to the blow up profile which is a blow up solution of ODE. We apply the Aubin-Lions lemma for the compactness argument for its convergence.

A supersolutions perspective on hypercontractivity

The purpose of this article is to expose an algebraic closure property of supersolutions to certain diffusion equations. This closure property quickly gives rise to a monotone quantity which generates a hypercontractivity inequality. Our abstract argument applies to a general Markov semigroup whose generator is a diffusion and satisfies a curvature condition.

Remarks on the Hardy type inequalities with remainder terms in the framework of equalities

We study the Hardy type inequalities in the framework of equalities. We present equalities which immediately imply Hardy type inequalities by dropping the remainder term. Simultaneously we give a characterization of the class of functions which makes the remainder term vanish. A point of our observation is to apply an orthogonality properties in general Hilbert space, and which gives a simple and direct understanding of the Hardy type inequalities as well as the nonexistence of nontrivial extremizers.

Remarks on the Rellich inequality

We study the Rellich inequalities in the framework of equalities. We present equalities which imply the Rellich inequalities by dropping remainders. This provides a simple and direct understanding of the Rellich inequalities as well as the nonexistence of nontrivial extremisers.
