Complete Quantum Stress Tensor Inside a Four Dimensional Schwarzschild Black Hole: A Divergent Focusing Source

We compute the complete renormalized stress-energy tensor (RSET) of a massless minimally coupled scalar field throughout the interior of a four-dimensional Schwarzschild black hole, in both the Unruh and Hartle--Hawking states. The complete RSET inside four-dimensional black holes has long been unavailable, leaving the local source term required for semiclassical backreaction unknown. This gap is even sharper near spacelike singularities. Taking the Schwarzschild interior as a concrete example, we close both gaps for the first time. Using an angular-splitting renormalization scheme together with a high-order large-$\ell$ asymptotic subtraction, we determine all independent components of $\langle T^a{}_{b}\rangle_{\rm ren}$ from the event horizon down to $r/M\simeq10^{-4}$, and simultaneously obtain the corresponding vacuum polarization $\langle\Phi^2\rangle_{\rm ren}$. The tensor passes the cross-checks of the covariant conservation and the trace identity. Near the spacelike singularity, the Unruh and Hartle--Hawking states approach the same conserved scaling solution, \ba M^4\langle T^a{}_{b}\rangle_{\rm ren} \simeq \left(\frac{r}{M}\right)^{-6}\tau^a{}_{b},\nn \ea while the state-dependent Unruh flux is suppressed by $(r/M)^4$ relative to the diagonal mixed components. The leading ultraviolet source is therefore a local vacuum-polarization stress rather than transported Hawking flux. The limiting tensor violates the dominant energy condition but satisfy the null energy condition. Thus, at the level of the complete fixed-background Schwarzschild RSET, the leading semiclassical source does not support the intuition that quantum defocusing smooths the singularity; instead, it supplies a divergent focusing source in the local Raychaudhuri equation. A genuine global conclusion, however, requires solving the backreacted semiclassical geometry.

Stress-energy tensor of quantized scalar fields in thermal states on a zero-tidal wormhole

The construction of a static traversable wormhole requires exotic matter that satisfies the Morris-Thorne conditions. Quantum energy-momentum tensors have long been considered the most promising candidate for such exotic matter. In this paper, we present the first calculation of the stress-energy tensor for a quantum massive scalar field in thermal states localized on the throat of a zero-tidal-force wormhole. By varying the dimensionless temperature and dimensionless mass of the scalar field, we find that the Morris-Thorne conditions can only be satisfied when the scalar field mass falls within a specific bounded interval. Furthermore, for any scalar field mass within this interval, there always exists a mass-dependent dimensionless critical temperature: the Morris-Thorne conditions are fulfilled only if the temperature remains below this critical threshold.

Stress-energy tensor of quantized scalar fields in a zero-tidal wormhole

To create a static traversable wormhole, exotic matter that meets the Morris-Thorne conditions is required. It is well known that the expectation value of the vacuum stress-energy tensor can violate the null energy condition, and thus has long been considered the best candidate for exotic matter. In this paper, we investigate whether the renormalized stress-energy tensor of a non-minimally coupled massive scalar field in a zero-tidal wormhole can satisfy the Morris-Thorne conditions. Within the Hadamard renormalization framework, we calculate the renormalized stress-energy tensor using the pragmatic mode-sum regularization method recently established by Levi and Ori. By varying the scalar field mass $m_0$ and coupling constant $\xi$, we find that there are three disconnected regions in this two-dimensional parameter space that satisfy the Morris-Thorne conditions. We identify two intervals in the scalar field mass $m_0$, within which the Morris-Thorne conditions cannot be satisfied irrespective of the value of the coupling constant $\xi$. This establishes two mass exclusion regions that constitute a no-go regime for the construction of traversable wormholes.

Adobe Summit Concierge Evaluation with Human in the Loop

Generative AI assistants offer significant potential to enhance productivity, streamline information access, and improve user experience in enterprise contexts. In this work, we present Summit Concierge, a domain-specific AI assistant developed for Adobe Summit. The assistant handles a wide range of event-related queries and operates under real-world constraints such as data sparsity, quality assurance, and rapid deployment. To address these challenges, we adopt a human-in-the-loop development workflow that combines prompt engineering, retrieval grounding, and lightweight human validation. We describe the system architecture, development process, and real-world deployment outcomes. Our experience shows that agile, feedback-driven development enables scalable and reliable AI assistants, even in cold-start scenarios.

Disambiguation in Conversational Question Answering in the Era of LLMs and Agents: A Survey

Ambiguity remains a fundamental challenge in Natural Language Processing (NLP) due to the inherent complexity and flexibility of human language. With the advent of Large Language Models (LLMs), addressing ambiguity has become even more critical due to their expanded capabilities and applications. In the context of Conversational Question Answering (CQA), this paper explores the definition, forms, and implications of ambiguity for language driven systems, particularly in the context of LLMs. We define key terms and concepts, categorize various disambiguation approaches enabled by LLMs, and provide a comparative analysis of their advantages and disadvantages. We also explore publicly available datasets for benchmarking ambiguity detection and resolution techniques and highlight their relevance for ongoing research. Finally, we identify open problems and future research directions, especially in agentic settings, proposing areas for further investigation. By offering a comprehensive review of current research on ambiguities and disambiguation with LLMs, we aim to contribute to the development of more robust and reliable LLM-based systems.

HierTOD: A Task-Oriented Dialogue System Driven by Hierarchical Goals

Task-Oriented Dialogue (TOD) systems assist users in completing tasks through natural language interactions, often relying on a single-layered workflow structure for slot-filling in public tasks, such as hotel bookings. However, in enterprise environments, which involve rich domain-specific knowledge, TOD systems face challenges due to task complexity and the lack of standardized documentation. In this work, we introduce HierTOD, an enterprise TOD system driven by hierarchical goals that can support composite workflows. By focusing on goal-driven interactions, our system serves a more proactive role, facilitating mixed-initiative dialogue and improving task completion. Equipped with components for natural language understanding, composite goal retriever, dialogue management, and response generation, backed by a well-organized data service with domain knowledge base and retrieval engine, HierTOD delivers efficient task assistance as judged by human evaluators. Furthermore, our system implementation unifies two TOD paradigms: slot-filling for information collection and step-by-step guidance for task execution. Our user study demonstrates the effectiveness and helpfulness of HierTOD in performing both paradigms.

Holographic Complexity in Charged Accelerating Black Holes

Using the ``complexity equals action''(CA) conjecture, for an ordinary charged system, it has been shown that the late-time complexity growth rate is given by a difference between the value of $Φ_{H}Q+Ω_H J$ on the inner and outer horizons. In this paper, we investigate the complexity of the boundary quantum system with conical deficits. From the perspective of holography, we consider a charged accelerating black holes which contain conical deficits on the north and south poles in the bulk gravitational theory and evaluate the complexity growth rate using the CA conjecture. As a result, the late-time growth rate of complexity is different from the ordinary charged black holes. It implies that complexity can carry the information of conical deficits on the boundary quantum system.

Spontaneous Scalarization of Charged Gauss-Bonnet Black Holes: Analytic Treatment

Recently, by considering nontrivial couplings between scalar fields and the Gauss-Bonnet invariant, the Schwarzschild black hole may allow regular scalar hairy configurations. The numerical studies of this spontaneous scalarization phenomenon show if the coupling parameter $\barη$ belongs to discrete sets $\barη\in\{\barη^-_n,\barη^+_n\}^{n=\infty}_{n=0}$, the black hole can support regular scalar hairy configurations. Interestingly, Hod finds the coupling parameter $\barη^+_n$ which correspond to the black hole linearized scalar field configurations has an asymptotic universal behavior $Δ_n\equiv\sqrt{\barη_{n+1}}-\sqrt{\barη_{n}} \simeq2.72$. He provides a remarkably compact analytical explanation for the numerically observed universal behavior. Motivated by this interesting phenomenon, in this paper, we study the coupling parameter behavior in RN black hole with a nontrivial coupling between scalar fields and the Gauss-Bonnet invariant. Different from Schwarzschild case where the coupling parameter can only take positive values, in this case, the coupling parameter can take positive or negativie values. Therefore, it is interesting to investigate whether the coupling parameter has a similar asymptotic behavior in this situation. By examining numerical data, we find there is a similar asymptotic behavior for both positive and negative parameters. We also compare the analytical results with the numerical data. We find analytical results agree well with the the numerical data.

Absorption Process and Weak Cosmic Censorship Conjecture In Kerr Black hole

In this paper, we investigate the Weak Cosmic Censorship Conjecture in nearly extremal Kerr black hole by absorbing particles . In previous work, they ignore the process of black hole absorbing particles. They assume the whole particle can be absorbed and the overspinning occurs. However, it is questionable whether the whole particle can be absorbed. Therefore, we will investigate it in this paper. We consider the absorption process of a particle with finite size. During this absorption process, the black hole's parameters will change. This change will prevent the rest part of particle enter black hole. We show the part entering black hole can not overspin a nearly extremal Kerr black hole. Different from Sorce and Wald, we solve the overspinning problem for Kerr black hole without radiation effect or self-force effect. Further, we use this process to a general black hole. Under three assumptions, we show if Weak Cosmic Censorship Conjecture is valid for an extremal black hole by absorbing a particle, it will be valid for the corresponding nearly extremal black hole. In many situation, the extremal black holes satisfy Weak Cosmic Censorship Conjecture and the corresponding nearly extremal black holes don't satisfy it. Therefore, if those black holes satisfy three assumptions, these violations may be solved by absorption process.

Super Penrose Process for Kerr Black Hole And White Hole in Rainbow Gravity

Recently, O.B.Zaslavskii considers the collision near the horizon of the extremal Kerr black hole that produces two particles and one of two particles has divergent conserved killing energy(the so called super Penrose process). O.B.Zaslavskii shows this particle can not move in a asymptotic region in this universe. This means super Penrose process for extremal Kerr black hole is impossible. However, recently, Mandar Patil and Tomohiro Harada show this particle can enter event horizon, turns back and emerges through white hole event horizon into asymptotic region in other universe. This means super Penrose process for extremal Kerr white hole is possible. During this progress, they assume this high energy particle's trajectory is geodesic in Kerr background. However, according to rainbow gravity, an unbounded energy particle will change the spacetime background and observe different effective space-time geometries. Furthermore, this particle's angular momentum is slightly less than the max value which particle can enter black hole. Therefore, when one considers rainbow gravity, this particle with unbounded energy may not enter black hole. In this paper, we will consider rainbow gravity's effect. We will show for some rainbow functions, there is a critical energy. If particle's energy is greater than it, particle will not enter black hole and turn back. It means super Penrose process for extremal Kerr white hole becomes impossible in some rainbow gravity. Because of this high energy particle turning back, the super Penrose process for extremal Kerr black hole becomes possible. Therefore, we see the possibility of super Penrose process for Kerr black hole or white hole depends on rainbow gravity.

Data-driven Analytics for Business Architectures: Proposed Use of Graph Theory

Business Architecture (BA) plays a significant role in helping organizations understand enterprise structures and processes, and align them with strategic objectives. However, traditional BAs are represented in fixed structure with static model elements and fail to dynamically capture business insights based on internal and external data. To solve this problem, this paper introduces the graph theory into BAs with aim of building extensible data-driven analytics and automatically generating business insights. We use IBM's Component Business Model (CBM) as an example to illustrate various ways in which graph theory can be leveraged for data-driven analytics, including what and how business insights can be obtained. Future directions for applying graph theory to business architecture analytics are discussed.
