Refining radiative decay studies in singly heavy baryons

In this work, we systematically study the radiative decays of singly heavy baryons, a crucial aspect of their spectroscopic behavior. To enhance the accuracy of our calculations, we utilize numerical spatial wave functions for the singly heavy baryons obtained through the Gaussian expansion method, which also yields their mass spectrum. As hadron spectroscopy enters an era of high precision, we believe our study of the radiative decays of singly heavy baryons will provide valuable insights for further exploration of these particles.

The role of electromagnetic interaction in the $X(3872)$ and its analogs

We investigate the role of the electromagnetic interaction in the formation and decay of the $X(3872)$. The binding properties of the $X(3872)$ are studied by assuming the molecular nature and considering the $S$-$D$ wave mixing, isospin breaking, and coupled channel effects, and in particular the correction from the electromagnetic interaction. The radiative decays can better reflect the difference between the charged and neutral $D\bar D^*$ components, since the electromagnetic interaction explicitly breaks the isospin symmetry. We further study the radiative decay widths with the obtained wave functions for different $D\bar D^*$ channels. We also explore other similar hidden-charm molecular states. The electromagnetic interaction can make the molecule tighter. Our result of the radiative decay width for $X(3872)\rightarrow γJ/ψ$ is in agreement with the experiment. The branching ratio $R_{γψ}$ is less than 1 in our framework, which supports the Belle and BESIII measurements.

Tribaryons with lattice QCD and one-boson exchange potentials

Motivated by the existence of two-body hadronic molecules composed of $ΩΩ$, $Ω_{ccc}Ω_{ccc}$ and $Ω_{bbb}Ω_{bbb}$ predicted by lattice QCD simulations, we use the Gaussian expansion method to investigate whether three-body systems composed of $ΩΩΩ$, $Ω_{ccc}Ω_{ccc}Ω_{ccc}$ and $Ω_{bbb}Ω_{bbb}Ω_{bbb}$ can bind with the two-body $^1S_0$ interactions provided by lattice QCD. Our results show that none of the three-body systems bind. On the other hand, we find that with the one-boson exchange potentials the $ΩΩΩ$ system develops a bound state, for which the $^5S_2$ interaction plays an important role. Our studies support the existence of the $\frac{3}{2}^+$ $ΩΩΩ$ bound state and the nonexistence of the $\frac{3}{2}^+$ $Ω_{ccc}Ω_{ccc}Ω_{ccc}$ and $Ω_{bbb}Ω_{bbb}Ω_{bbb}$ bound states, due to the suppressed $^5S_2$ interactions in heavier systems.

Constructing the $J^{P(C)}=1^{-(+)}$ light flavor hybrid nonet with the newly observed $η_1(1855)$

The recently discovered $η_1(1855)$ and the previously observed $π_1(1600)$ state present a valuable opportunity for the investigation of the $J^{P(C)}=1^{-(+)}$ light hybrid nonet. In this study, we employ a semirelativistic quark potential model to examine the masses of the $J^{P(C)}=1^{-(+)}$ light hybrid states. The static potential, which portrays the confinement force between the quark-antiquark pair in a hybrid system, is borrowed from the SU$(3)$ lattice gauge theory. Additionally, we utilize a constituent gluon model to analyze the strong decay characteristics of these light $1^{-+}$ hybrids. Our findings suggest that the $π_1(1600)$ and $η_1(1855)$ states could be potential candidates for $1^{-+}$ $(u\bar{u}-d\bar{d})g/\sqrt{2}$ and $s\bar{s}g$ hybrids, respectively. To ensure comprehensiveness, we also investigate the isospin partners of the $π_1(1600)$ and $η_1(1855)$ states within the $1^{-(+)}$ nonet$-$specifically, the $(u\bar{u}+d\bar{d})g/\sqrt{2}$ and $s\bar{q}g$ ($q=u$ and $d$ quarks) states. We propose some potential decay channels which could be explored in experimental settings to detect these undiscovered states.

Spectroscopy behavior of fully heavy tetraquarks

Stimulated by the observation of the $X(6900)$ from LHCb in 2020 and the recent results from CMS and ATLAS in the di-$J/ψ$ invariant mass spectrum, in this work we systemically study all possible configurations for the ground fully heavy tetraquark states in constituent quark model. By our calculation, we present their spectroscopy behaviors like binding energy, lowest meson-meson thresholds, specific wave function, magnetic moment, transition magnetic moment, radiative decay width, rearrangement strong width ratio, internal mass contributions, relative lengths between (anti)quarks, and the spatial distribution of four valence (anti)quarks. We cannot find stable S-wave state for the fully heavy tetraquark system. We hope that our results are valuable to further explore fully heavy tetraquark states in experiment.

Exploring the electromagnetic properties of the $Ξ_c^{(\prime,\,*)} \bar D_s^*$ and $Ω_c^{(*)} \bar D_s^*$ molecular states

This paper presents a systematic investigation of the electromagnetic properties of the hidden-charm molecular pentaquarks within the constituent quark model. Specifically, it focuses on two types of pentaquarks: the $Ξ_c^{(\prime,*)} \bar{D}_s^{*}$-type pentaquarks with double strangeness and the $Ω_{c}^{(*)}\bar D_s^{*}$-type pentaquarks with triple strangeness. The study explores various electromagnetic properties, including the magnetic moments, the transition magnetic moments, and the radiative decay behavior of these pentaquarks. To ensure realistic calculations, the $S$-$D$ wave mixing effect and the coupled channel effect are taken into account. By examining the electromagnetic properties of the hidden-charm molecular pentaquarks with double and triple strangeness, this research contributes to the deeper understanding of their spectroscopic behavior. These findings form a valuable addition to the ongoing investigation into the broader spectrum of properties exhibited by the hidden-charm molecular pentaquarks.

Investigating the spectroscopy behavior of undetected $1F$-wave charmed baryons

In this work, we investigate the spectroscopic properties of $1F$-wave charmed baryons, which have not yet been observed in experiments. We employ a non-relativistic potential model and utilize the Gaussian expansion method to obtain the mass spectra of these charmed baryons. Additionally, we focus on the two-body Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka allowed strong decay behaviors, which plays a crucial role in characterizing the properties of these baryons. Our comprehensive analyses of the mass spectra and two-body Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka allowed decay behaviors provides valuable insights for future experimental investigations. This study significantly contributes to our understandings of the spectroscopic properties of $1F$-wave charmed baryons.

Radiative decays and magnetic moments of the predicted $B_c$-like molecules

In this work, we first perform a systematic study of the transition magnetic moments and the corresponding radiative decay behaviors of the $B_c$-like molecular states associated with their mass spectra, where the constituent quark model is adopted by considering the $S$-$D$ wave mixing effect. Our numerical results show that the radiative decay properties can be considered as the effective physical observable to reflect the inner structures of these $B_c$-like molecular states. Meanwhile, we also discuss the magnetic moments of the $B_c$-like molecular states, and we find that the magnetic moment properties can be used to distinguish the $B_c$-like molecular states from the conventional $B_c$ mesonic states, which have the same quantum numbers and similar masses. We expect that the present study can inspire the interest of the experimentalist in exploring the electromagnetic properties of the $B_c$-like molecular states, especially the radiative decay properties.

The newly observed $Ω_c(3327)$: A good candidate for a $D$-wave charmed baryon

The newly observed $Ω_c(3327)$ gives us a good chance to construct the $Ω_c$ charmed baryon family. In this work, we carry out the mass spectrum analysis by a non-relativistic potential model using Gaussian Expansion Method, and the study of its two-body Okubo-Zweig-Iizuka allowed strong decay behavior. Our results imply that the $Ω_c(3327)$ is good candidate of $Ω_c(1D)$ state with $J^P=5/2^+$. We also predict the spectroscopy behavior of other $Ω_c(1D)$ states, which may provide further clues to their search.

New type of hydrogenlike charm-pion or charm-kaon matter

Borrowing the structures of the hydrogen atom, molecular ion, and diatomic molecule, we predict the nature of a new type of hydrogenlike charm-pion or charm-kaon matter that could be obtained by replacing the proton and electron in hydrogen matter with a charmed meson and a pion or a kaon, respectively. We find that the spectra of the atom, molecular ion, and diatomic molecule can be obtained simultaneously with the Coulomb potential for the hydrogen, the charm-pion, and the charm-kaon systems. The predicted charm-pion matter also allows us to explore the mass shift mediated by the strong interaction. For the charm-pion and charm-kaon systems, the strong interactions could lead to binding energy shifts. Our calculations suggests that the binding energy shifts in charm-pion systems are in the order of several to tens of eV. For the charm-kaon systems, the results are in the order of tens to hundreds of eV. Exploring hydrogenlike charm-pion matter must lead to new demands for high-precision experiments.

$Λ_c(2910)$ and $Λ_c(2940)$ as the conventional baryons dressed with the $D^*N$ channel

In this work, we treat $Λ_c(2910)^+$ and $Λ_c(2940)^+$ as the conventional $udc$ cores dressed with the $D^*N$ channel. We provide a possible interpretation to both $Λ_c(2910)^+$ and $Λ_c(2940)^+$ within the same framework. In the study, we consider not only the effects between the conventional triquark core and the $D^*N$ channel but also the $D^*N$-$D^*N$ interactions. The mass of $Λ_c$ state with $J^P=1/2^-$ is larger than that with $J^P=3/2^-$ in this unquenched picture, which is very different from the prediction of the conventional quenched quark model. Based on the mass spectrum, the spin-parity of $Λ_c(2940)^+$ is more likely to be $1/2^-$ while $Λ_c(2910)^+$ prefers $3/2^-$. We look forward to the future experiments can test our results with more precise experimental data.

Study of the resonance contributions in the $Ξ_{b}^{-} \rightarrow pK^{-}K^{-}$ decay

The decay process $Ξ_{b}^{-} \rightarrow pK^{-}K^{-}$ is studied with the final state interaction approach by considering the contributions from the $S$-wave meson-baryon interactions, and also the intermediate state $Λ(1520)$ in the $D$-wave. The low-lying resonances $Λ(1405)$ and $Λ(1670)$ have significant contributions, which are both dynamically generated from the $S$-wave final state interactions with isospin $I=0$. Furthermore, the $Λ(1520)$ state also has important contributions from $D$-wave. With these resonances contributions, the experimental data of the lower $pK^{-}$ invariant mass distributions are well described. We also discuss the contribution of another resonance in the $S$-wave with isospoin $I=1$, which cannot be ignored. Moreover, some of the branching fractions obtained for the corresponding decay channels are consistent with the experimental measurements.

Double-charm heptaquark states composed of two charmed mesons and one nucleon

Inspired by the experimental discoveries of $T_{cc}$, $Σ_c(2800)$, and $Λ_c(2940)$ and the theoretical picture where they are $DD^*$, $DN$, and $D^*N$ molecular candidates, we investigate the double charm heptaquark system of $DD^*N$. We employ the one-boson-exchange model to deduce the pairwise $D$-$D^*$, $D$-$N$, and $D^*$-$N$ potentials and then study the $DD^*N$ system with the Gaussian expansion method. We find two good hadronic molecular candidates with $I(J^P)=\frac{1}{2}(\frac{1}{2}^-)$ and $\frac{1}{2}(\frac{3}{2}^-)$ $DD^*N$ with only $s$-wave pairwise interactions. The conclusion remains unchanged even taking into account the $S$-$D$ mixing and coupled channel effects. In addition to providing the binding energies, we also calculate the root-mean-square radii of the $DD^*N$ system, which further support the molecular nature of the predicted states. They can be searched for at the upcoming LHC run 3 and run 4.

Fully heavy pentaquark states in constituent quark model

The LHCb collaboration reported a fully charmed tetraquark state X(6900) in the invariant mass spectrum of $J/ψ$ pairs in 2020. This discovery inspires us to further study the fully heavy pentaquark system. In this work, we investigate systematically all possible configurations for ground fully heavy pentaquark system via the variational method in the constituent quark model. According to our calculations, we further analyze the relative lengths between quarks and the contributions to the pentaquark masses from different terms of the Hamiltonian. We think no stable states exist in fully heavy pentaquark system. We hope that our study will be helpful to explore for fully heavy pentaquark states.

Triple-charm molecular states composed of $D^*D^*D$ and $D^*D^*D^*$

Inspired by the newly observed $T_{cc}^+$ state, we systematically investigate the $S$-wave triple-charm molecular states composed of $D^*D^*D$ and $D^*D^*D^*$. We employ the one-boson-exchange model to derive the interactions between $D(D^*)$ and $D^*$ and solve the three-body Schrödinger equations with the Gaussian expansion method. The $S$-$D$ mixing and coupled channel effects are carefully assessed in our study. Our results show that the $I(J^P)=\frac{1}{2}(0^-,1^-,2^-)$ $D^*D^*D$ and $I(J^P)=\frac{1}{2}(0^-,1^-,2^-,3^-)$ $D^*D^*D^*$ systems could form bound states, which can be viewed as three-body hadronic molecules. We present not only the binding energies of the three-body bound states, but also the root-mean-square radii of $D $-$D^*$ and $D^*$-$D^*$, which further corroborate the molecular nature of these states. These predictions could be tested in the future at LHC or HL-LHC.

$b$-hadron spectroscopy study based on the similarity of double bottom baryon and bottom meson

The dynamical similarity which exists between the $λ$-mode excited $bbq$ baryons ($q$ refers to the $u$, $d$, and $s$ quarks) and the $\bar{b}q$ mesons inspires us to carry out a combined study of their spectroscopy. In this work, the masses and strong decays of these low-lying $b\bar{q}$ and $bbq$ states are studied by the same theoretical methods, and the dynamical similarity which is implied in their mass spectra and strong decays are also discussed. The recent discovered $\bar{b}q$ states, including the $B_J(5840)$, $B_J(5970)$, $B_{sJ}(6064)$, and $B_{sJ}(6114)$, are analyzed. According to our result, the $B_J(5840)$ could be assigned as a 2$S$ state, while the $B_J(5970)$ could be regarded as a member of the $1D(2^-,~3^-)_{j_q=5/2}$ doublet. The $B_{sJ}(6064)$ and $B_{sJ}(6114)$ are probably the $D$-wave states. Especially, they could be explained as the members of the $1D(1^-,~2^-)_{j_q=3/2}$ and $1D(2^-,~3^-)_{j_q=5/2}$ doublets, respectively. The predicted masses and decay properties of other unknown $\bar{b}q/bbq$ states may provide useful clues to the future experiment.

Light unflavor vector meson spectroscopy around the mass range of $2.4\sim 3$ GeV and possible experimental evidence

In this work, we predict the spectroscopy behavior of these light unflavored vector mesons with masses at the range of $2.4\sim 3$ GeV, which are still missing in the experiment. By presenting their mass spectrum and studying their two-body Okubo-Zweig-lizuka allowed decay widths, we discuss the possible experimental evidences of these discussed states combining with the present experimental data. Especially, we strongly suggest that our experimental colleagues carry out the exploration of these higher states via the $e^+e^-$ annihilation into light mesons. It is obvious that BESIII and Belle II will be potential experiments to achieve this target.

Discovery of the doubly charmed $T_{cc}^+$ state implies a triply charmed $H_{ccc}$ hexaquark state

The doubly charmed exotic state $T_{cc}$ recently discovered by the LHCb Collaboration could well be a $DD^{*}$ molecular state long predicted in various theoretical models, in particular, the $DD^*$ isoscalar axial vector molecular state predicted in the one-boson-exchange model. In this work, we study the $DDD^*$ system in the Gaussian Expansion Method with the $DD^*$ interaction derived from the one-boson-exchange model and constrained by the precise binding energy of $273\pm63$ keV of $T_{cc}$ with respect to the $D^{*+}D^0$ threshold. We show the existence of a $DDD^*$ state with a binding energy of a few hundred keV and spin-parity $1^-$. Its main decay modes are $DDDπ$ and $DDDγ$. The existence of such a state could in principle be confirmed with the upcoming LHC data and will unambiguously determine the nature of the $T_{cc}^+$ state and of the many exotic state of similar kind, thus deepening our understanding of the non-perturbative strong interaction.
