How the Angle of Static Field Affects the Spectrum of Lattice Schrodinger Operator on $\mathbb{Z}^2$

The spectral properties of the discrete Schrodinger operator on a two-dimensional lattice under uniform static fields are critically governed by the field direction: for angles parameterized by irrational frequencies, the operator is exponentially localized, and for a subset of such angles with asymptotically full Lebesgue measure, this localization persists under a given logarithmically decaying perturbation potential.

H-LDM: Hierarchical Latent Diffusion Models for Controllable and Interpretable PCG Synthesis from Clinical Metadata

Phonocardiogram (PCG) analysis is vital for cardiovascular disease diagnosis, yet the scarcity of labeled pathological data hinders the capability of AI systems. To bridge this, we introduce H-LDM, a Hierarchical Latent Diffusion Model for generating clinically accurate and controllable PCG signals from structured metadata. Our approach features: (1) a multi-scale VAE that learns a physiologically-disentangled latent space, separating rhythm, heart sounds, and murmurs; (2) a hierarchical text-to-biosignal pipeline that leverages rich clinical metadata for fine-grained control over 17 distinct conditions; and (3) an interpretable diffusion process guided by a novel Medical Attention module. Experiments on the PhysioNet CirCor dataset demonstrate state-of-the-art performance, achieving a Fr\'echet Audio Distance of 9.7, a 92% attribute disentanglement score, and 87.1% clinical validity confirmed by cardiologists. Augmenting diagnostic models with our synthetic data improves the accuracy of rare disease classification by 11.3\%. H-LDM establishes a new direction for data augmentation in cardiac diagnostics, bridging data scarcity with interpretable clinical insights.

The Existence of Full-Dimensional KAM tori for one-dimensional nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation

In this paper, we investigate the almost-periodic solutions for the one-dimensional nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation within the non-relativistic limit under periodic boundary conditions. Specifically, by employing the method introduced in \cite{Bourgain2005JFA}, we establish the existence and linear stability of full-dimensional tori with subexponential decay for the equation.

Estimation and prediction of credit risk based on rating transition systems

Risk management is an important practice in the banking industry. In this paper we develop a new methodology to estimate and predict the probability of default (PD) based on the rating transition matrices, which relates the rating transition matrices to the macroeconomic variables. Our method can overcome the shortcomings of the framework of Belkin et al. (1998), and is especially useful in predicting the PD and doing stress testing. Simulation is conducted at the end, which shows that our method can provide more accurate estimate than that obtained by the method of Belkin et al. (1998).

Space Filling Curves for 3D Sensor Networks with Complex Topology

Several aspects of managing a sensor network (e.g., motion planning for data mules, serial data fusion and inference) benefit once the network is linearized to a path. The linearization is often achieved by constructing a space filling curve in the domain. However, existing methods cannot handle networks distributed on surfaces of complex topology. This paper presents a novel method for generating space filling curves for 3D sensor networks that are distributed densely on some two-dimensional geometric surface. Our algorithm is completely distributed and constructs a path which gets uniformly, progressively denser as it becomes longer. We analyze the algorithm mathematically and prove that the curve we obtain is dense. Our method is based on the Hodge decomposition theorem and uses holomorphic differentials on Riemann surfaces. The underlying high genus surface is conformally mapped to a union of flat tori and then a proportionally-dense space filling curve on this union is constructed. The pullback of this curve to the original network gives us the desired curve.
