Bounds of Trilinear and Trinomial Exponential Sums

We prove, for a sufficiently small subset $\mathcal{A}$ of a prime residue field, an estimate on the number of solutions to the equation $(a_1-a_2)(a_3-a_4) = (a_5-a_6)(a_7-a_8)$ with all variables in $\mathcal{A}$. We then derive new bounds on trilinear exponential sums and on the total number of residues equaling the product of two differences of elements of $\mathcal{A}$. We also prove a refined estimate on the number of collinear triples in a Cartesian product of multiplicative subgroups and derive stronger bounds for trilinear sums with all variables in multiplicative subgroups.

Multilinear Exponential Sums With A General Class Of Weights

In this paper we obtain some new estimates for multilinear exponential sums in prime fields with a more general class of weights than previously considered. Our techniques are based on some recent progress of Shkredov on multilinear sums which has roots in Rudnev's point plane incidence bound. We apply our estimates to obtain new results concerning exponential sums with sparse polynomials and Weyl sums over small generalized arithmetic progressions.

Double Sums of Kloosterman Sums in Finite Fields

We bound double sums of Kloosterman sums over a finite field ${\mathbb F}_{q}$, with one or both parameters ranging over an affine space over its prime subfield ${\mathbb F}_p \subseteq {\mathbb F}_{q} $. These are finite fields analogues of a series of recent results by various authors in finite fields and residue rings. Our results are based on recent advances in additive combinatorics in arbitrary finite field.

Decomposition of subsets in finite fields

We extend a bound of Roche-Newton, Shparlinski and Winterhof which says any subset of a finite field can be decomposed into two disjoint subset $\cU$ and $\cV$ of which the additive energy of $\cU$ and $f(\cV)$ are small, for suitably chosen rational functions $f$. We extend the result by proving equivalent results over multiplicative energy and the additive and multiplicative energy hybrids.

Visible Points On Exponential Curves

We provide two new bounds on the number of visible points on exponential curves modulo a prime for all choices of primes. We also provide one new bound on the number of visible points on exponential curves modulo a prime for almost all primes.

Bounds On Exponential Sums With Quadrinomials

We improve an existing result on exponential quadrilinear sums in the case of sums over multiplicative subgroups of a finite field and use it to give a new bound on exponential sums with quadrinomials.
