Cloud and IoT based Smart Agent-driven Simulation of Human Gait for Detecting Muscles Disorder

Motion disorders pose a significant global health concern and are often managed with pharmacological treatments that may lead to undesirable long-term effects. Current therapeutic strategies lack differentiation between healthy and unhealthy muscles in a patient, necessitating a targeted approach to distinguish between musculature. There is still no motion analyzer application for this purpose. Additionally, there is a deep gap in motion analysis software as some studies prioritize simulation, neglecting software needs, while others concentrate on computational aspects, disregarding simulation nuances. We introduce a comprehensive five-phase methodology to analyze the neuromuscular system of the lower body during gait. The first phase employs an innovative IoT-based method for motion signal capture. The second and third phases involve an agent-driven biomechanical model of the lower body skeleton and a model of human voluntary muscle. Thus, using an agent-driven approach, motion-captured signals can be converted to neural stimuli. The simulation results are then analyzed by our proposed ensemble neural network framework in the fourth step in order to detect abnormal motion in each joint. Finally, the results are shown by a userfriendly graphical interface which promotes the usability of the method. Utilizing the developed application, we simulate the neuromusculoskeletal system of some patients during the gait cycle, enabling the classification of healthy and pathological muscle activity through joint-based analysis. This study leverages cloud computing to create an infrastructure-independent application which is globally accessible. The proposed application enables experts to differentiate between healthy and unhealthy muscles in a patient by simulating his gait.

Agent-based Modeling and Simulation of Human Muscle For Development of Human Gait Analyzer Application

Despite the fact that only a small portion of muscles are affected in motion disease and disorders, medical therapies do not distinguish between healthy and unhealthy muscles. In this paper, a method is devised in order to calculate the neural stimuli of the lower body during gait cycle and check if any group of muscles are not acting properly. For this reason, an agent-based model of human muscle is proposed. The agent is able to convert neural stimuli to force generated by the muscle and vice versa. It can be used in many researches including medical education and research and prosthesis development. Then, Boots algorithm is designed based on a biomechanical model of human lower body to do a reverse dynamics of human motion by computing the forces generated by each muscle group. Using the agent-driven model of human muscle and boots algorithm, a user-friendly application is developed which can calculate the number of neural stimuli received by each muscle during gait cycle. The application can be used by clinical experts to distinguish between healthy and unhealthy muscles.

Nahid: AI-based Algorithm for operating fully-automatic surgery

In this paper, for the first time, a method is presented that can provide a fully automated surgery based on software and computer vision techniques. Then, the advantages and challenges of computerization of medical surgery are examined. Finally, the surgery related to isolated ovarian endometriosis disease has been examined, and based on the presented method, a more detailed algorithm is presented that is capable of automatically diagnosing and treating this disease during surgery as proof of our proposed method where a U-net is trained to detect the endometriosis during surgery.

Natural Way of Solving a Convex Hull Problem

In this article, a new solution for the convex hull problem has been presented. The convex hull is a widely known problem in computational geometry. As nature is a rich source of ideas in the field of algorithms, the solution has been inspired by nature. A tight elastic band is modeled using agents and also nails as points of the problem. By simulating an elastic band with nails in an environment, solving the convex hull problem will be possible. The algorithm runs in O(t) in which t is the time that an elastic band will get fixed.
