Modélisation micromagnétique du comportement magnéto-mécanique

A magneto-mechanical static modeling of ferromagnetic particle based on minimization of an energy function is presented. This modeling is made of a conjugate gradient method coupled with finite element method for the mechanical problem resolution. Some illustrations on iron single crystal are given in 2D framework.

Note on Entanglement Temperature for Low Thermal Excited States in Higher Derivative Gravity

We investigate the entanglement temperature of a small scale subsystem in low excited states by using holographic method. Especially, we study the entanglement entropy and entanglement temperature in higher derivative gravities which are considered as low thermal excitation of pure AdS gravity. We find that the entanglement entropy are related to the central charges of boundary CFT. The relation between the variance of entanglement entropy and energy of a small scale subsystem has been also obtained. Furthermore, the relation is consistent with the first law-like relation that is proposed by Phys. Rev. Lett. 110, 091602 (2013). Finally, we derive the formula of the variance of entanglement entropy in general excited states in gravity background with the Fefferman-Graham coordinates and the entanglement temperature can be figured out in special case.

Scattering of Massless Particles in Arbitrary Dimension

We present a compact formula for the complete tree-level S-matrix of pure Yang-Mills and gravity theories in arbitrary spacetime dimension. The new formula for the scattering of n particles is given by an integral over the position of n points on a sphere restricted to satisfy a dimension-independent set of equations. The integrand is constructed using the reduced Pfaffian of a 2n by 2n matrix that depends on momenta and polarization vectors. In its simplest form, the gravity integrand is a reduced determinant which is the square of the Pfaffian in the Yang-Mills integrand. Gauge invariance is completely manifest as it follows from a simple property of the Pfaffian.

Scattering Equations and KLT Orthogonality

Several recent developments point to the fact that rational maps from n-punctured spheres to the null cone of D dimensional momentum space provide a natural language for describing the scattering of massless particles in D dimensions. In this note we identify and study equations relating the kinematic invariants and the puncture locations, which we call the scattering equations. We provide an inductive algorithm in the number of particles for their solutions and prove a remarkable property which we call KLT Orthogonality. In a nutshell, KLT orthogonality means that "Parke-Taylor" vectors constructed from the solutions to the scattering equations are mutually orthogonal with respect to the Kawai-Lewellen-Tye (KLT) bilinear form. We end with comments on possible connections to gauge theory and gravity amplitudes in any dimension and to the high-energy limit of string theory amplitudes.

Scattering in Three Dimensions from Rational Maps

The complete tree-level S-matrix of four dimensional ${\cal N}=4$ super Yang-Mills and ${\cal N} = 8$ supergravity has compact forms as integrals over the moduli space of certain rational maps. In this note we derive formulas for amplitudes in three dimensions by using the fact that when amplitudes are dressed with proper wave functions dimensional reduction becomes straightforward. This procedure leads to formulas in terms of rational maps for three dimensional maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills and gravity theories. The integrand of the new formulas contains three basic structures: Parke-Taylor-like factors, Vandermonde determinants and resultants. Integrating out some of the Grassmann directions produces formulas for theories with less than maximal supersymmetry, which exposes yet a fourth kind of structure. Combining all four basic structures we start a search for consistent S-matrices in three dimensions. Very nicely, the most natural ones are those corresponding to ABJM and BLG theories. We also make a connection between the power of a resultant in the integrand, representations of the Poincaré group, infrared behavior and conformality of a theory. Extensions to other theories in three dimensions and to arbitrary dimensions are also discussed.

Three-loop octagons and n-gons in maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory

We study the S-matrix of planar $\mathcal{N}=4$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory when external momenta are restricted to a two-dimensional subspace of Minkowski space. We find significant simplifications and new, interesting structures for tree and loop amplitudes in two-dimensional kinematics; in particular, the higher-point amplitudes we consider can be obtained from those with lowest-points by a collinear uplifting. Based on a compact formula for one-loop N${}^2$MHV amplitudes, we use an equation proposed previously to compute, for the first time, the complete two-loop NMHV and three-loop MHV octagons, which we conjecture to uplift to give the full $n$-point amplitudes up to simpler logarithmic terms or dilogarithmic terms.

Some aspects of QGP phase in a hQCD model

We continue to study the holographic QCD (hQCD) model, proposed in a previous paper, in an Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton (EMD) system. In this paper we discuss some aspects of quark gluon plasma (QGP) in the hQCD model, such as drag force, jet quenching parameter and screening length. The results turn out to be consistent with those as expected in QCD qualitatively. By calculating free energy of the background black hole solution, we find that there exists a Hawking-Page phase transition between small black hole and big black hole when chemical potential $μ$ is less than a critical one $ μ_c$, and the phase transition is absent when chemical potential is beyond the critical one.

Phase Structure in a Dynamical Soft-Wall Holographic QCD Model

We consider the Einstein-Maxwell-dilaton system with an arbitrary kinetic gauge function and a dilaton potential. A family of analytic solutions is obtained by the potential reconstruction method. We then study its holographic dual QCD model. The kinetic gauge function can be fixed by requesting the linear Regge spectrum of mesons. We calculate the free energy to obtain the phase diagram of the holographic QCD model and interpret our result as the heavy quarks system by comparing the recent lattice QCD simulation. We finally obtain the equations of state in our model.

Entanglement Entropy and Wilson Loop in Stückelberg Holographic Insulator/Superconductor Model

We study the behaviors of entanglement entropy and vacuum expectation value of Wilson loop in the Stückelberg holographic insulator/superconductor model. This model has rich phase structures depending on model parameters. Both the entanglement entropy for a strip geometry and the heavy quark potential from the Wilson loop show that there exists a "confinement/deconfinement" phase transition. In addition, we find that the non-monotonic behavior of the entanglement entropy with respect to chemical potential is universal in this model. The pseudo potential from the spatial Wilson loop also has a similar non-monotonic behavior. It turns out that the entanglement entropy and Wilson loop are good probes to study the properties of the holographic superconductor phase transition.

Exponential fall-off Behavior of Regge Scatterings in Compactified Open String Theory

We calculate massive string scattering amplitudes of compactified open string in the Regge regime. We extract the complete infinite ratios among high-energy amplitudes of different string states in the fixed angle regime from these Regge string scattering amplitudes. The complete ratios calculated by this indirect method include and extend the subset of ratios calculated previously (Lee and Yang, 2007, and Lee, Takimi, and Yang, 2008) by the more difficult direct fixed angle calculation. In this calculation of compactified open string scattering, we discover a realization of arbitrary real values L in the identity Eq.(4.18), rather than integer value only in all previous high-energy string scattering amplitude calculations. The identity in Eq.(4.18) was explicitly proved recently in Lee, Yan, and Yang to link fixed angle and Regge string scattering amplitudes. In addition, we discover a kinematic regime with stringy highly winding modes, which shows the unusual exponential fall-off behavior in the Regge string scattering. This is in complementary with a kenematic regime discovered previously (Lee, Takimi, and Yang, 2008), which shows the unusual power-law behavior in the high-energy fixed angle compactified string scatterings. A Link Representation for Gravity Amplitudes

We derive a link representation for all tree amplitudes in N=8 supergravity, from a recent conjecture by Cachazo and Skinner. The new formula explicitly writes amplitudes as contour integrals over constrained link variables, with an integrand naturally expressed in terms of determinants, or equivalently tree diagrams. Important symmetries of the amplitude, such as supersymmetry, parity and (partial) permutation invariance, are kept manifest in the formulation. We also comment on rewriting the formula in a GL(k)-invariant manner, which may serve as a starting point for the generalization to possible Grassmannian contour integrals.

Graphs, determinants and gravity amplitudes

We apply the matrix-tree theorem to establish a link between various diagrammatic and determinant expressions, which naturally appear in scattering amplitudes of gravity theories. Using this link we are able to give a general graph-theoretical formulation for the tree-level maximally-helicity-violated gravity amplitudes. Furthermore, we use the link to prove two identities for half-soft functions of gravity amplitudes. Finally we recast the diagrammatic formulation of one-loop rational part of $\mathcal{N}=4$ supergravity into a matrix form.

Jumpstarting the all-loop S-matrix of planar N=4 super Yang-Mills

We derive a set of first-order differential equations obeyed by the S-matrix of planar maximally supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory. The equations, based on the Yangian symmetry of the theory, involve only finite and regulator-independent quantities and uniquely determine the all-loop S-matrix. When expanded in powers of the coupling they give derivatives of amplitudes as single integrals over lower-loop, higher-point amplitudes/Wilson loops. We outline a derivation for the equations using the Operator Product Expansion for Wilson loops. We apply them on a few examples at two- and three-loops, reproducing a recent result on the two-loop NMHV hexagon and fixing previously undermined coefficients in a recent Ansatz for the three-loop MHV hexagon. In addition, we consider amplitudes restricted to a two-dimensional subspace of Minkowski space and derive a particularly simple set of partially closed equations in that case.

Holographic Entanglement Entropy in Insulator/Superconductor Transition

We investigate the behaviors of entanglement entropy in the holographical insulator/superconductor phase transition. We calculate the holographic entanglement entropy for two kinds of geometry configurations in a completely back-reacted gravitational background describing the insulator/superconductor phase transition. The non-monotonic behavior of the entanglement entropy is found in this system. In the belt geometry case, there exist four phases characterized by the chemical potential and belt width.

Holographic Entanglement Entropy in P-wave Superconductor Phase Transition

We investigate the behavior of entanglement entropy across the holographic p-wave superconductor phase transition in an Einstein-Yang-Mills theory with a negative cosmological constant. The holographic entanglement entropy is calculated for a strip geometry at AdS boundary. It is found that the entanglement entropy undergoes a dramatic change as we tune the ratio of the gravitational constant to the Yang-Mills coupling, and that the entanglement entropy does behave as the thermal entropy of the background black holes. That is, the entanglement entropy will show the feature of the second order or first order phase transition when the ratio is changed. It indicates that the entanglement entropy is a good probe to investigate the properties of the holographic phase transition.

Null Polygonal Wilson Loops in Full N=4 Superspace

We compute the one-loop expectation value of light-like polygonal Wilson loops in N=4 super-Yang-Mills theory in full superspace. When projecting to chiral superspace we recover the known results for tree-level next-to-maximally-helicity-violating (NMHV) scattering amplitude. The one-loop MHV amplitude is also included in our result but there are additional terms which do not immediately correspond to scattering amplitudes. We finally discuss different regularizations and their Yangian anomalies.

New Relations for Three-Dimensional Supersymmetric Scattering Amplitudes

We provide evidence for a duality between color and kinematics in three-dimensional supersymmetric Chern-Simons matter theories. We show that the six-point amplitude in the maximally supersymmetric, N=8, theory can be arranged so that the kinematic factors satisfy the fundamental identity of three-algebras. We further show that the four- and six-point N=8 amplitudes can be "squared" into the amplitudes of N=16 three-dimensional supergravity, thus providing evidence for a hidden three-algebra structure in the dynamics of the supergravity.

A hQCD model and its phase diagram in Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton system

By use of the potential reconstruction approach we obtain a series of asymptotically AdS (aAdS) black hole solutions in an Einstein-Maxwell-Dilaton (EMD) system. Basing on the solutions of the system, we reconstruct a semi-analytical holographic QCD (hQCD) model with a quadratic term in warped factor. We discuss some aspects of the hQCD model, in particular we calculate the free energy of two static color sources (a heavy quark-antiquark pair) which is an important order parameter to describe confinement/deconfinement phase transition. The behavior of the free energy with respect to temperature and chemical potential is studied. We find that in the hQCD model the deconfinement phase transition can be realized and a critical point occurs. The resulting phase diagram in the temperature-chemical potential $T-μ$ plane is in quite good agreement with the one from recent lattice results and effective models of QCD.
