On Schultz's generalization of Borweins' cubic identity

In 1991, the Borweins established a cubic analogue of Jacobi's identity for theta functions, which is used by B.C. Berndt, S. Bhargava, and F.G. Garvan in the development of Ramanujan's cubic theory of elliptic functions. In 2013, D. Schultz discovered an identity for theta series in three variables which generalizes the Borweins' identity. In this article, we revisit Schultz's identity and present two distinct approaches to its derivation. Our investigation not only provides new proofs but also yields several new Schultz-type identities.

Variations of Andrews-Beck type congruences

We prove three variations of recent results due to Andrews on congruences for $NT(m,k,n)$, the total number of parts in the partitions of $n$ with rank congruent to $m$ modulo $k$. We also conjecture new congruences and relations for $NT(m,k,n)$ and for a related crank-type function.

On recursions for coefficients of mock theta functions

We use a generalized Lambert series identity due to the first author to present q-series proofs of recent results of Imamoglu, Raum and Richter concerning recursive formulas for the coefficients of two 3rd order mock theta functions. Additionally, we discuss an application of this identity to other mock theta functions.

The first positive rank and crank moments for overpartitions

In 2003, Atkin and Garvan initiated the study of rank and crank moments for ordinary partitions. These moments satisfy a strict inequality. We prove that a strict inequality also holds for the first rank and crank moments of overpartitions and consider a new combinatorial interpretation in this setting.

Rank-Crank type PDEs and generalized Lambert series identities

We show how Rank-Crank type PDEs for higher order Appell functions due to Zwegers may be obtained from a generalized Lambert series identity due to the first author. Special cases are the Rank-Crank PDE due to Atkin and the third author and a PDE for a level 5 Appell function also found by the third author. These two special PDEs are related to generalized Lambert series identities due to Watson, and Jackson respectively. The first author's Lambert series identities are common generalizations. We also show how Atkin and Swinnerton-Dyer's proof using elliptic functions can be extended to prove these generalized Lambert series identities.
