Existence of affine realizations for Lévy term structure models

We investigate the existence of affine realizations for term structure models driven by Lévy processes. It turns out that we obtain more severe restrictions on the volatility than in the classical diffusion case without jumps. As special cases, we study constant direction volatilities and the existence of short rate realizations.

Some refinements of existence results for SPDEs driven by Wiener processes and Poisson random measures

We provide existence and uniqueness of global (and local) mild solutions for a general class of semilinear stochastic partial differential equations driven by Wiener processes and Poisson random measures under local Lipschitz and linear growth (or local boundedness, resp.) conditions. The so-called "method of the moving frame" allows us to reduce the SPDE problems to SDE problems.

Foundations of the theory of semilinear stochastic partial differential equations

The goal of this review article is to provide a survey about the foundations of semilinear stochastic partial differential equations. In particular, we provide a detailed study of the concepts of strong, weak and mild solutions, establish their connections, and review a standard existence- and uniqueness result. The proof of the existence result is based on a slightly extended version of the Banach fixed point theorem.

The Itô integral with respect to an infinite dimensional Lévy process: A series approach

We present an alternative construction of the infinite dimensional Itô integral with respect to a Hilbert space valued Lévy process. This approach is based on the well-known theory of real-valued stochastic integration, and the respective Itô integral is given by a series of Itô integrals with respect to standard Lévy processes. We also prove that this stochastic integral coincides with the Itô integral that has been developed in the literature.

Invariant manifolds with boundary for jump-diffusions

We provide necessary and sufficient conditions for stochastic invariance of finite dimensional submanifolds with boundary in Hilbert spaces for stochastic partial differential equations driven by Wiener processes and Poisson random measures.

Dynamic Term Structure Modelling with Default and Mortality Risk: New Results on Existence and Monotonicity

This paper considers general term structure models like the ones appearing in portfolio credit risk modelling or life insurance. We give a general model starting from families of forward rates driven by infinitely many Brownian motions and an integer-valued random measure, generalizing existing approaches in the literature. Then we derive drift conditions which are equivalent to no asymptotic free lunch on the considered market. Existence results are also given. In practice, models possessing a certain monotonicity are favorable and we study general conditions which guarantee this. The setup is illustrated with some examples.

Jump-Diffusions in Hilbert Spaces: Existence, Stability and Numerics

By means of an original approach, called "method of the moving frame", we establish existence, uniqueness and stability results for mild and weak solutions of stochastic partial differential equations (SPDEs) with path dependent coefficients driven by an infinite dimensional Wiener process and a compensated Poisson random measure. Our approach is based on a time-dependent coordinate transform, which reduces a wide class of SPDEs to a class of simpler SDE problems. We try to present the most general results, which we can obtain in our setting, within a self-contained framework to demonstrate our approach in all details. Also several numerical approaches to SPDEs in the spirit of this setting are presented.

Term Structure Models Driven by Wiener Process and Poisson Measures: Existence and Positivity

In the spirit of Björk-DiMasi-Kabanov-Runggaldier, we investigate term structure models driven by Wiener process and Poisson measures with forward curve dependent volatilities. This includes a full existence and uniqueness proof for the corresponding Heath--Jarrow--Morton type term structure equation. Furthermore, we characterize positivity preserving models by means of the characteristic coefficients, which was open for jump-diffusions. Additionally we treat existence, uniqueness and positivity of the Brody-Hughston equation of interest rate theory with jumps, an equation which we believe to be very useful for applications. A key role in our investigation is played by the method of the moving frame, which allows to transform the Heath--Jarrow--Morton--Musiela equation to a time-dependent SDE.
