Implications of Muon g-2 for Supersymmetry and for Discovering Superpartners Directly

We study the implications of interpreting the recent muon g-2 deviation from the Standard Model prediction as evidence for virtual superpartners, with very general calculations that include effects of phases and are consistent with all relevant constraints. The most important result is that there are upper limits on masses: at least one superpartner mass is below about 350 GeV (for the theoretically preferred value of tan(beta)=35) and may be produced at the Fermilab Tevatron in the upcoming run, and there must be chargino, neutralino, and slepton masses below about 600 GeV. In addition, tan(beta) must be larger than about 8.

SUSY-QCD corrections to the MSSM $h^0 b \bar b$ vertex in the decoupling limit

We analyze the supersymmetric (SUSY) QCD contribution to the $h^0 b \bar{b}$ coupling at one loop in the Minimal Supersymmetric Model (MSSM) in the decoupling limit. Analytic expressions in the large SUSY mass region are derived and the decoupling behavior of the corrections is examined in various limiting cases, where some or all of the SUSY mass parameters become large. We show that in the decoupling limit of large SUSY mass parameters and large CP-odd Higgs mass, the $h^0 b \bar b$ coupling approaches its Standard Model value at one loop. However, the onset of decoupling is delayed when $\tanβ$ is large. In addition, the one-loop SUSY-QCD corrections decouple if the masses of either the bottom squarks or the gluino are separately taken large; although the approach to decoupling is significantly slower in the latter case.

One-loop Weak Dipole Form Factors and Weak Dipole Moments of Heavy Fermions

The one-loop weak-magnetic and weak-electric dipole form factors of heavy fermions in a generic model are derived. Numerical predictions for the $τ$ lepton and $b$ quark Weak Anomalous Magnetic and Electric Dipole Moments (AWMDM and WEDM) in the SM and MSSM are reviewed. The MSSM contribution to the $τ$ ($b$) AWMDM could be, in the high $\tanβ$ scenario, four (thirty) times larger than the Electroweak SM one, but still a factor five below the QCD contribution (in the $b$ case). More interesting is the CP-odd sector where the contribution to the $τ$ ($b$) WEDM in the MSSM could be up to twelve orders of magnitude larger than in the SM.
