DiffVLA++: Bridging Cognitive Reasoning and End-to-End Driving through Metric-Guided Alignment

Conventional end-to-end (E2E) driving models are effective at generating physically plausible trajectories, but often fail to generalize to long-tail scenarios due to the lack of essential world knowledge to understand and reason about surrounding environments. In contrast, Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models leverage world knowledge to handle challenging cases, but their limited 3D reasoning capability can lead to physically infeasible actions. In this work we introduce DiffVLA++, an enhanced autonomous driving framework that explicitly bridges cognitive reasoning and E2E planning through metric-guided alignment. First, we build a VLA module directly generating semantically grounded driving trajectories. Second, we design an E2E module with a dense trajectory vocabulary that ensures physical feasibility. Third, and most critically, we introduce a metric-guided trajectory scorer that guides and aligns the outputs of the VLA and E2E modules, thereby integrating their complementary strengths. The experiment on the ICCV 2025 Autonomous Grand Challenge leaderboard shows that DiffVLA++ achieves EPDMS of 49.12.

Orbit-Controlled Generation of Two-color Attosecond Mode-locked Free-electron Lasers

The generation of attosecond X-ray pulses has garnered significant attention within the X-ray free-electron laser (FEL) community due to their potential for ultrafast time-resolved studies. Such pulses enable the investigation of electron dynamics with unprecedented temporal resolution, opening new avenues in fields such as quantum control and ultrafast spectroscopy. In an FEL, the mode-locking technique synthesizes a comb of longitudinal modes by applying spatiotemporal shifts between the co-propagating radiation and the electron bunch. Here, we propose a novel scheme for generating two-color attosecond mode-locked FEL pulses via orbit control in two-stage mode-locked undulators. Specifically, a chicane with a wiggler inserted in the middle generates periodic temporal-transverse modulation in the electron beam. In this configuration, the low-energy and high-energy components of the beam lase in separate undulator sections, with each producing attosecond mode-locked FEL pulses. Three-dimensional simulations with realistic parameters confirm that trains of 250-attosecond soft X-ray pulses at the gigawatt level can be independently generated in each undulator section. Furthermore, time delay between the two pulse trains can be adjusted over a range of several hundred femtoseconds.

Photoproduction of the double $J/ψ$ ($Υ$) at the LHC with forward proton tagging

We calculate the photoproduction of double $J/ψ$ ($Υ$) to leading order based on the nonrelativistic quantum chromodynamics factorization framework at the Large Hadron Collider with forward proton tagging. The numerical results of double $J/ψ$ photoproduction pp $\rightarrow$ p$γ$p $\rightarrow$ $J/ψ$ + $J/ψ$ with different forward detector acceptances ($ξ$) are presented. The total cross section of double $J/ψ$ photoproduction is less than 200 fb with 0.1 $<$ $ξ$ $<$ 0.5, but can reach about 1.37(1.27) pb with 0.0015 $<$ $ξ$ $<$ 0.5 ( 0.0015 $<$ $ξ$ $<$ 0.15 ). The double $J/ψ$ photoproduction may have the potential to be detected and provide an interesting signature, thus is useful for studying the mechanism of heavy quarkonium production. We also predict the double $Υ$ photoproduction and find they are, unfortunately, small (with less than 10 fb).

NLO corrections to WWZ and ZZZ production at the ILC

We calculate the full one-loop electroweak corrections to tri-boson production (ZZZ and WWZ) at the ILC. This is important to understand the Standard Model (SM) gauge quartic couplings which can be a window on the mechanism of spontaneous symmetry breaking. We find that even after subtracting the leading QED corrections, the electroweak corrections can still be large especially as the energy increases.

NLO corrections to e+e- to WWZ and e+e- to ZZZ

We calculate the one-loop electroweak corrections to e+e- to WWZ and e+e- to ZZZ and analyse their impacts on both the total cross section and some key distributions. These processes are important for the measurements of the quartic couplings of the massive gauge bosons which can be a window on the mechanism of spontaneous symmetry breaking. We find that even after subtracting the leading QED corrections, the electroweak corrections can still be large especially as the energy increases. We compare and implement different methods of dealing with potential instabilities in the routines pertaining to the loop integrals. For the real corrections we apply a dipole subtraction formalism and compare it to a phase-space slicing method.

Electroweak corrections to WWZ and ZZZ production at the linear collider

We calculate the electroweak corrections to the production of WWZ and ZZZ at the linear collider in the Standard Model. These processes are important for the extraction of the quartic couplings of the massive gauge bosons which can be a window on the mechanism of spontaneous symmetry breaking. We find that the weak corrections to some kinematic distributions show new features and hence cannot be explained by an overall scale factor.

Relic density at one-loop with gauge boson pair production

We have computed the full one-loop corrections (electroweak as well as QCD) to processes contributing to the relic density of dark matter in the MSSM where the LSP is the lightest neutralino. We cover scenarios where the most important channels are those with gauge boson pair production. This includes the case of a bino with some wino admixture, a higgsino and a wino. In this paper we specialise to the case of light dark matter much below the TeV scale. The corrections can have a non-negligible impact on the predictions and should be taken into account in view of the present and forthcoming increasing precision on the relic density measurements. Our calculations are made with the help of \SloopS, an automatic tool for the calculation of one-loop processes in the MSSM. The renormalisation scheme dependence of the results as concerns $\tgb$ is studied.

Coannihilation with a chargino and gauge boson pair production at one-loop

We present a complete calculation of the electroweak one-loop corrections to the relic density within the MSSM framework. In the context of the neutralino as dark matter candidate, we review different scenarios of annihilation and coannihilation with a chargino. In particular we investigate predictions for the annihilation into gauge boson pairs for different kinds of neutralino: bino-, wino- and higgsino-like. We present some interesting effects which are not present at tree-level and show up at one-loop. To deal with the large number of diagrams occuring in the calculations, we have developed an automatic tool for the computation at one-loop of any process in the MSSM. We have implemented a complete on-shell gauge invariant renormalization scheme, with the possibility of switching to other schemes. We emphasize the variations due to the choice of the renormalization scheme, in particular the one-loop definition of the parameter tan(beta).

The effects of the little Higgs models on $t\bar{t} h^0$ production via $γγ$ collision at linear colliders

In the frameworks of the littlest Higgs($LH$) model and its extension with T-parity($LHT$), we studied the associated $t\bar th^0$ production process $e^+ e^- \to γγ\to t \bar t h^0$ at the future $e^+e^-$ linear colliders up to QCD next-to-leading order. We present the regions of $\sqrt{s}-f$ parameter space in which the $LH$ and $LHT$ effects can and cannot be discovered with the criteria assumed in this paper. The production rates of process $γγ\to t \bar t h^0$ in different photon polarization collision modes are also discussed. We conclude that one could observe the effects contributed by the $LH$ or $LHT$ model on the cross section for the process $e^+ e^- \to γγ\to t \bar t h^0$ in a reasonable parameter space, or might put more stringent constraints on the $LH$/$LHT$ parameters in the future experiments at linear colliders.

Flavor changing effects on single charged Higgs boson production associated with a bottom-charm pair at CERN Large Hadron Collider

We study flavor changing effects on the \ppbchT process at the Large Hadron Collider(LHC), which are inspired by the left-handed up-type squark mixings in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model(MSSM). We find that the SUSY QCD radiative corrections to $bcH^\pm$ coupling can significantly enhance the cross sections at the tree-level by a factor about $1.5 \sim 5$ with our choice of parameters. We conclude that the squark mixing mechanism in the MSSM makes the \ppbchT process a new channel for discovering a charged Higgs boson and investigating flavor changing effects.

Full one-loop electroweak and NLO QCD corrections to the associated production of chargino and neutralino at hadron colliders

We study the process of the association production of chargino and neutralino including the NLO QCD and the complete one-loop electroweak corrections in the framework of the minimal supersymmetric standard model(MSSM) at the Fermilab Tevatron and the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). In both the NLO QCD and one-loop electroweak calculations we apply the algorithm of the phase-space slicing(PSS) method. We find that the NLO QCD corrections generally increase the Born cross sections, while the electroweak relative corrections decrease the Born cross section in most of the chosen parameter space. The NLO QCD and electroweak relative corrections typically have the values of about 32% and -8% at the Tevatron, and about 42% and -6% at the LHC respectively. The results show that both the NLO QCD and the complete one-loop electroweak corrections to the processes $p \bar p/pp \to \widetildeχ_1^{\pm} \widetildeχ_2^0+X$ are generally significant and should be taken into consideration in precision experimental analysis.

The effects of large extra dimensions on associated $t\bar{t} h^0$ production at linear colliders

In the framework of the large extra dimensions (LED) model, the effects of LED on the processes \rrtth and \eetth at future linear colliders are investigated in both polarized and unpolarized collision modes. The results show that the virtual Kaluza-Klein (KK) graviton exchange can significantly modify the standard model expectations for these processes with certain polarizations of initial states. The process \rrtth with $\sqrt{s}=3.5 TeV$ allows the effective scale $Λ_T$ to be probed up to 7.8 and 8.6 TeV in the unpolarized and $P_γ = 0.9$, J=2 polarized $γγ$ collision modes, respectively. For the \eetth process with $\sqrt{s}=3.5 TeV$, the upper limits of $Λ_T$ to be observed can be 6.7 and 7.0 TeV in the unpolarized and $P_{e^+} = 0.6$, $P_{e^-} = 0.8$, $-+$ polarized $e^+e^-$ collision modes, respectively. We find the \rrtth channel in J=2 polarized photon collision mode provides a possibility to improve the sensitivity to the graviton tower exchange.
