Canonical coordinates for moduli spaces of rank two irregular connections on curves

In this paper, we study a geometric counterpart of the cyclic vector which allow us to put a rank 2 meromorphic connection on a curve into a ``companion'' normal form. This allow us to naturally identify an open set of the moduli space of $\mathrm{GL}_2$-connections (with fixed generic spectral data, i.e. unramified, non resonant) with some Hilbert scheme of points on the twisted cotangent bundle of the curve. We prove that this map is symplectic, therefore providing Darboux (or canonical) coordinates on the moduli space, i.e. separation of variables. On the other hand, for $\mathrm{SL}_2$-connections, we give an explicit formula for the symplectic structure for a birational model given by Matsumoto. We finally detail the case of an elliptic curve with a divisor of degree $2$.

Rank three representations of Painleve systems: III. Dolbeault structure, spectral correspondence

We prove that there exists a holomorphic symplectic isomorphism between the rank 2 and 3 representations of the Painleve systems in the Dolbeault complex structure, and give explicit descriptions of the corresponding elliptic fibrations. This, combined with the de Rham description given in part II, implies that the corresponding moduli spaces are hyperKaehler isometric to each other.

Asymptotic geometry of non-abelian Hodge theory and Riemann--Hilbert correspondence, rank three $\widetilde{E}_6$ case

We prove the Geometric P=W conjecture in rank 3 on the three-punctured sphere. We describe the topology at infinity of the related character variety. We use asymptotic abelianization of harmonic bundles away from the ramification divisor and an equivariant approach near the branch points to find the WKB (also known as Liouville--Green or phase-integral) expansion of the involved maps. We analyze the Stokes phenomenon governing their behavior.

$P=W$ conjecture in lowest degree for rank $2$ over the $5$-punctured sphere

We use abelianization of Higgs bundles away from the ramification divisor and fiducial solutions to analyze the large scale behaviour of Fenchel--Nielsen co-ordinates on the moduli space of rank $2$ Higgs bundles on the Riemann sphere with $5$ punctures. We solve the related Hitchin WKB problem and prove the lowest degree weighted pieces of the $P=W$ conjecture in this case.

The dimension of the space of Garnier equations with fixed locus of apparent singularities

We show that the conditions imposed on a second order linear differential equation with rational coefficients on the complex line by requiring it to have regular singularities with fixed exponents at the points of a finite set $P$ and apparent singularities at a finite set $Q$ (disjoint from $P$) determine a linear system of maximal rank. In addition, we show that certain auxiliary parameters can also be fixed. This enables us to conclude that the family of such differential equations is of the expected dimension and to define a birational map between an open subset of the moduli space of logarithmic connections with fixed logarithmic points and regular semi-simple residues and the Hilbert scheme of points on a quasi-projective surface.

Nahm transform and parabolic minimal Laplace transform

We prove that Nahm transform for integrable connections with a finite number of regular singularities and an irregular singularity of rank 1 on the Riemann sphere is equivalent -- up to considering integrable connections as holonomic $\D$-modules -- to minimal Laplace transform. We assume semi-simplicity and resonance-freeness conditions, and we work in the framework of objects with a parabolic structure. In particular, we describe the definition of the parabolic version of Laplace transform due to C. Sabbah. The proof of the main result relies on the study of a twisted de Rham complex.

Harmonic functions and instanton moduli spaces on the multi-Taub--NUT space

Explicit construction of the basic SU(2) anti-instantons over the multi-Taub--NUT geometry via the classical conformal rescaling method is exhibited. These anti-instantons satisfiy the so-called weak holonomy condition at infinity with respect to the trivial flat connection and decay rapidly. The resulting unital energy anti-instantons have trivial holonomy at infinity. We also fully describe their unframed moduli space and find that it is a five dimensional space admitting a singular disk-fibration over R^3. On the way, we work out in detail the twistor space of the multi-Taub--NUT geometry together with its real structure and transform our anti-instantons into holomorphic vector bundles over the twistor space. In this picture we are able to demonstrate that our construction is complete in the sense that we have constructed a full connected component of the moduli space of solutions of the above type. We also prove that anti-instantons with arbitrary high integer energy exist on the multi-Taub--NUT space.

Deformations of Fuchsian equations and logarithmic connections

We give a geometric proof to the classical fact that the dimension of the deformations of a given generic Fuchsian equation without changing the semi-simple conjugacy class of its local monodromies (``number of accessory parameters'') is equal to half the dimension of the moduli space of deformations of the associated local system. We do this by constructing a weight 1 Hodge structure on the infinitesimal deformations of logarithmic connections, such that deformations as an equation correspond to the $(1,0)$-part. This answers a question of Nicholas Katz, who noticed the dimension doubling mentioned above. We then show that the Hitchin map restricted to deformations of the Fuchsian equation is a one-to-one etale map. Finally, we give a positive answer to a conjecture of Ohtsuki about the maximal number of apparent singularities for a Fuchsian equation with given semisimple monodromy, and define a Lagrangian foliation of the moduli space of connections whose leaves consist of logarithmic connections that can be realised as Fuchsian equations having apparent singularities in a prescribed finite set.

Nahm transform for integrable connections on the Riemann sphere

In this work we are concerned with reduction of the ASD-equations to the Riemann sphere, that is integrable connections with a harmonic metric, or equivalently Higgs bundles with a Hermitian-Einstein metric. In the first chapter, we introduce the type of singularities we allow for the solutions to have, and announce the main results of the paper. In the second chapter, we study the analytical properties of the Dirac and Green's operators of our problem. In the third one, we carry out the main construction of the paper, namely that of the Nahm transform of an integrable connection with parabolic structure and with a compatible harmonic metric. In the fourth chapter, we interpret the construction from the point of view of Higgs bundles, and compute the effect of the transform on the level of topological and singularity parameters - this latter being achieved via an understanding of the behaviour of the spectral curve. Finally, in the fifth chapter we show that Nahm transform is (up to a sign) an involution.
