Electric Quadrupole and Magnetic Octupole Moments of the Light Decuplet Baryons Within Light Cone QCD Sum Rules

The electric quadrupole and magnetic octupole moments of the light decuplet baryons are calculated in the framework of the light cone QCD sum rules. The obtained non-vanishing values for the electric quadrupole and magnetic octupole moments of these baryons show nonspherical charge distribution. The sign of electric quadrupole moment is positive for $Ω^-$, $Ξ^{*-}$, $Σ^{*-}$ and negative for $Σ^{*+}$, which correspond to the prolate and oblate charge distributions, respectively. A comparison of the obtained results with the predictions of non-covariant quark model which shows a good consistency between two approaches is also presented. Comparison of the obtained results on the multipole moments of the decuplet baryons containing strange quark with those of $Δ$ baryons shows a large SU(3) flavor symmetry breaking.

On the Mass and Decay Constant of $K_2^*(1430)$ Tensor Meson

The mass and decay constant of the ground state strange tensor meson $K_2^*(1430)$ with $I(J^P)=1/2(2^+)$ is calculated using the QCD sum rules method. The results are consistent with the experimental data. It is found that SU(3) symmetry breaking effect constitutes about $20^0/_0$ of the decay constant.

Pseudoscalar--meson decuplet--baryon coupling constants in light cone QCD

Taking into account the $SU(3)_f$ breaking effects, the strong coupling constants of the $π$, $K$ and $η$ mesons with decuplet baryons are calculated within light cone QCD sum rules method. It is shown that all coupling constants, even in the case of $SU(3)_f$ breaking, are described in terms of only one universal function. It is shown that for $Ξ^{\ast 0} \to Ξ^{\ast 0} η$ transition violation of $SU(3)_f$ symmetry is very large and for other channels when $SU(3)_f$ symmetry is violated, its maximum value constitutes $10%\div15%$.

Single top quark production through unparticles at photon colliders

We investigate the single top quark production with the exchange of unparticles through high energy photon-photon collision $γγ\to t \bar c$. The effects of unparticles on the scattering cross sections for different polarization configurations, and for various values of the scaling dimension $d, 1<d<2$ are analysed. It is shown that the $(+-)$ polarisation configuration is more preferable searching for unparticle physics signatures.

Vector meson-baryon strong coupling contants in light cone QCD sum rules

Using the most general form of the interpolating current of the baryons, the strong coupling constants of the light vector mesons with the octet baryons are calculated within the light cone QCD sum rules. The SU(3)_f symmetry breaking effects are taken into account in the calculations. It is shown that each of the electric and magnetic coupling constants can be described in terms of three universal functions. A detailed comparison of the results of this work on aforementioned couplings with the existing theoretical results is presented.

Radiative Decays of the Heavy Flavored Baryons in Light Cone QCD Sum Rules

The transition magnetic dipole and electric quadrupole moments of the radiative decays of the sextet heavy flavored spin 3/2 to the heavy spin 1/2 baryons are calculated within the light cone QCD sum rules approach. Using the obtained results, the decay rate for these transitions are also computed and compared with the existing predictions of the other approaches.

Phenomenology of the Heavy Flavored spin 3/2 Baryons in Light Cone QCD

Motivated by the results of the recent experimental discoveries for charm and bottom baryons, the masses and magnetic moments of the heavy baryons with $J^P=3/2^+$ containing a single heavy quark are studied within light cone QCD sum rules method. Our results on the masses of heavy baryons are in good agreement with predictions of other approaches, as well as with the existing experimental data.

Mass and Magnetic Moments of the Heavy Flavored Baryons with $J=3/2$ in Light Cone QCD Sum Rules

Inspired by the results of recent experimental discoveries for charm and bottom baryons, the masses and magnetic moments of the heavy baryons with $J^P=3/2^+$ containing a single heavy quark are studied within light cone QCD sum rules method. Our results on the masses of heavy baryons are in good agreement with predictions of other approaches, as well as with the existing experimental values. Our predictions on the masses of the states, which are not yet discovered in the experiments, can be tested in the future experiments. A comparison of our results on the magnetic moments of these baryons and the hyper central model predictions is presented.

Unparticle effects on top quark rare decays

In this work we study the flavor changing neutral current(FCNC) decays of the top quark, $t\to cγ$ and $t\to c g$. The Standard Model, predictions for the branching ratios of these decays are about $\sim 5\times 10^{-14}$, and $\sim 1\times 10^{-12}$, respectively. The recent study presented by the ATLAS Collaboration gives a sensitivity on these branching ratios about $\sim 10^{-5}$ at $%95$ C.L. The parameter space of $λ$, $Λ$, and $d$ where the branching ratios of $t\to cγ$ and $t\to c g$ decays exceed these predictions is obtained.

Unparticle effects in rare (t -> c g g) decay

Rare (t -> c g g) decay can only appear at loop level in the Standard Model (SM), and naturally they are strongly suppressed. These flavor changing decays induced by the mediation of spin-0 and spin-2 unparticles, can appear at tree level in unparticle physics. In this work the virtual effects of unparticle physics in the flavor-changing (t -> c g g) decay is studied. Using the SM result for the branching ratio of the (t -> c g g) decay, the parameter space of d_U and Lambda_U, where the branching ratio of this decay exceeds the one predicted by the SM, is obtained. Measurement of the branching ratio larger than 10^(-9) can give valuable information for establishing unparticle physics.

Nucleon Electromagnetic Form Factors in QCD

The nucleon electromagnetic form factors are calculated in light cone QCD sum rules framework using the most general form of the nucleon interpolating current. Using two forms of the distribution amplitudes (DA's), predictions for the form factors are presented and compared with existing experimental data. It is shown that our results describe remarkably well the existing experimental data.

QCD sum rules analysis of the $B_{s}\to D_{sJ}(2460)lν$ decay

Using three point QCD sum rules method, the form factors relevant to the semileptonic $B_{s}\to D_{sJ}(2460)\ellν$ decay are calculated. The $q^2$ dependencies of these form factors are evaluated. The dependence of the asymmetry parameter $α$, characterizing the polarization of $D_{sJ}$ meson, on $q^2$ is studied. This study gives useful information about the structure of the $D_{sJ}$ meson. Finally the branching ratio of this decay is also estimated and is shown that it can be easily detected at LHC.

We study unparticle physics effects in (Lambda_b -> Lambda + missing energy) decay with polarized $Λ_b$ and $Λ$ baryons. The sensitivity of the branching ratio of this decay and polarizations of (Lambda_b) and (Lambda) baryons on the scale dimension d_U and effective cut-off parameter (Lambda_U) are discussed.

Analysis of rare (B -> K_0*(1430) l^+ l^- decay) within QCD sum rules

Form factors of rare (B -> K_0*(1430) l^+ l^-$ decay) decay are calculated within three-point QCD sum rules, with (K_0* (1430)) being the p-wave scalar meson. The branching ratios are estimated when only short, as well as short and long distance effects, are taken into account. It is obtained that the (B -> K_0*(1430) l^+ l^- (l=e,mu)) decay is measurable at LHC. Measurement of these branching ratios for the semileptonic rare (B -> K_0*(1430) l^+ l^-$ decay) can give valuable information about the nature of scalar meson (K_0* (1430)).
