Unidirectional Random Growth with Resetting

We review and classify stochastic processes without detailed balance condition. We obtain stationary distributions and investigate their stability in terms of generalized entropic divergences beyond the Kullback-Leibler formula. A simple stochastic model with local growth rates and direct resetting to the ground state is investigated and applied to various networks, scientific citations and Facebook popularity, hadronic yields in high energy particle reactions, income and wealth distributions, biodiversity and settlement size distribution.

Near and Far from Equilibrium Power-Law Statistics

We analyze the connection between $p_T$ and multiplicity distributions in a statistical framework. We connect the Tsallis parameters, $T$ and $q$, to physical properties like average energy per particle and the second scaled factorial moment, $F_2=\langle n(n-1) \rangle / {\langle n \rangle}^2$, measured in multiplicity distributions. Near and far from equilibrium scenarios with master equations for the probability of having $n$ particles, $P_n$, are reviewed based on hadronization transition rates, $μ_n$, from $n$ to $n+1$ particles.

Entropy of expanding QCD matter

Using the lattice QCD equation of state for an isentropically expanding fireball we follow the evolution of the effective number of particles in an ideal gas pV/T. This number reduces roughly to its third around the crossover temperature, which helps to circumvent the entropy obstacle inherent in quark coalescence models of the hadronization.
