Domain-Aware Hybrid Quantum Learning via Correlation-Guided Circuit Design for Crime Pattern Analytics

Crime pattern analysis is critical for law enforcement and predictive policing, yet the surge in criminal activities from rapid urbanization creates high-dimensional, imbalanced datasets that challenge traditional classification methods. This study presents a quantum-classical comparison framework for crime analytics, evaluating four computational paradigms: quantum models, classical baseline machine learning models, and two hybrid quantum-classical architectures. Using 16-year crime statistics, we systematically assess classification performance and computational efficiency under rigorous cross-validation methods. Experimental results show that quantum-inspired approaches, particularly QAOA, achieve up to 84.6% accuracy, while requiring fewer trainable parameters than classical baselines, suggesting practical advantages for memory-constrained edge deployment. The proposed correlation-aware circuit design demonstrates the potential of incorporating domain-specific feature relationships into quantum models. Furthermore, hybrid approaches exhibit competitive training efficiency, making them suitable candidates for resource-constrained environments. The framework's low computational overhead and compact parameter footprint suggest potential advantages for wireless sensor network deployments in smart city surveillance systems, where distributed nodes perform localized crime analytics with minimal communication costs. Our findings provide a preliminary empirical assessment of quantum-enhanced machine learning for structured crime data and motivate further investigation with larger datasets and realistic quantum hardware considerations.

Reconfigurable Parallel Architecture of High Speed Round Robin Arbiter

With a view to managing the increasing traffic in computer networks, round robin arbiter has been proposed to work with packet switching system to have increased speed in providing access and scheduling. Round robin arbiter is a doorway to a particular bus based on request along with equal priority and gives turns to devices connected to it in a cyclic order. Considering the rapid growth in computer networking and the emergence of computer automation which will need much more access to the existing limited resources, this paper emphasizes on designing a reconfigurable round robin arbiter over FPGA which takes parallel requests and processes them with high efficiency and less delay than existing designs. Proposed round robin arbiter encounters with 4 to 12 devices. Results show that with 200% increment in the number of connected devices, only 2.69% increment has been found in the delay. With less delay, proposed round robin arbiter exhibits high speed performance with higher traffic, which is a new feature in comparison with the existing designs.

Ramifications and Diminution of Image Noise in Iris Recognition System

Human Identity verification has always been an eye-catching goal in digital based security system. Authentication or identification systems developed using human characteristics such as face, finger print, hand geometry, iris, and voice are denoted as biometric systems. Among the various characteristics, Iris recognition trusts on the idiosyncratic human iris patterns to find out and corroborate the identity of a person. The image is normally contemplated as a gathering of information. Existence of noises in the input or processed image effects degradation in the image superiority. It should be paramount to restore original image from noises for attaining maximum amount of information from corrupted images. Noisy images in biometric identification system cannot give accurate identity. So Image related data or information tends to loss or damage. Images are affected by various sorts of noises. This paper mainly focuses on Salt and Pepper noise, Gaussian noise, Uniform noise, Speckle noise. Different filtering techniques can be adapted for noise diminution to develop the visual quality as well as understandability of images. In this paper, four types of noises have been undertaken and applied on some images. The filtering of these noises uses different types of filters like Mean, Median, Weiner, Gaussian filter etc. A relative interpretation is performed using four different categories of filter with finding the value of quality determined parameters like mean square error (MSE), peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR), average difference value (AD) and maximum difference value (MD).
