Glueball Interpretation of $ξ$(2230)

On the basis of the results of $ξ(2230)\rightarrowπ^{+}π^{-}, p\bar{p}$ and $K\bar{K}$, measured by the BES Collaboration in radiative J/$ψ$ decays, combined with the upper limit of Br($ξ\rightarrow p\bar{p}$)Br($ξ\rightarrow K\bar{K}$), measured by PS185 experiment, we argue that the distinctive properties of $ξ$(2230), the flavor-symmetric decays and the narrow partial decay widths to $ππ$ and $K\bar{K}$ as well as its copious production in radiative J/$ψ$ decay, would strongly favor the glueball interpretation of $ξ$(2230).

Consequence of the Wigner Rotation: Perturbative QCD Analysis of the Pion Form Factor

We analyse the perturbative contributions from the higher helicity ($λ_{1}+λ_{1}=\pm 1$) components, which should be naturally contained in the light-cone wave function for the pion as a consequence of the Wigner rotation, in the QCD calculation of the pion form factor. It is pointed out that the contributions may provide the other fraction needed to fit the pion form factor data besides the perturbative contributions from the ordinary helicity components evaluated using the factorization formula with the asymptotic form of the distribution amplitude. We suggest a way to test the higher helicity state contributions.

Re-examination of the Perturbative Pion Form Factor with Sudakov Suppression

The perturbative pion form factor with Sudakov suppression is re-examined. Taking into account the multi-gluon exchange in the law $Q^2$ regions, we suggest that the running coupling constant should be frozen at $α_s(t=\sqrt{<{\bf k}_{T}^{2}>})$ and $\sqrt{<{\bf k}_{T}^{2}>}$ is the average transverse momentum which can be determined by the pionic wave function. In addition, we correct the previous calculations about the Sudakov suppression factor which plays an important role in the perturbative predictions for the pion form factor.

Light Flavor Dependence of the Isgur-Wise Function

We present an investigation on the ligh flavor dependence of the Isgur-Wise function for $B_a\rightarrow D_a$ and $B_a\rightarrow D^{*}_a$ in the framework of QCD sum rules. It is found that the Isgur-Wise function for $B_s$ decay falls faster than that for $B_{u,d}$ decay , which is just contrary to the recent prediction of the heavy meson chiral perturbation theory. SU(3) symmetry breaking effects in the mass and the decay constant are also estimated.

Light Quark Dependence of the Isgur-Wise Function from QCD Sum rules

We study light quark dependence of the Isgur-Wise function for $B_a\rightarrow D_a$ and $B_a\rightarrow D^{*}_a$ in the framework of QCD sum rules. At zero recoil , all the Isgur-Wise functions equal as required by heavy quark symmetry and at non-zero recoil, the Isgur-Wise function for $B_s$ decay falls faster than that for $B_{u,d}$ decay , which is just contrary to the recent prediction of the heavy meson chiral perturbation theory. As by-products, we also estimate SU(3) breaking effects in the mass and the decay constant.

Analysis of the Pion Wave Function in Light-Cone Formalism

Several general constraints are suggested to analyze the pionic valence-state wave function. It is found that the present model wave functions used in light-cone formalism of perturbative quantum chromodynamics have failed these requirements to fit the pionic form factor data and the reasonable valence-state structure function which does not exceed the pionic structure function data for $x \rightarrow 1$ simultaneously. Furthermore, it is pointed out that there is a possibility to find model wave functions which can satisfy all of general constraints. Also we show that there are two higher helicity $(λ_{1} + λ_{2} =\pm1)$ components in the light-cone wave function for the pion as a natural consequence from the Melosh rotation and it is speculated that these components should be incorporated into the perturbative quantum chromodynamics.
