BUPTCMCC-6G-CMG+: A GBSM-Based ISAC Standard Channel Model Generator

Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) has been recognized as the key technology in the vision of the sixth generation (6G) era. With the emergence of new concepts in mobile communications, the channel model is the prerequisite for system design and performance evaluation. Currently, 3GPP Release 19 is advancing the standardization of ISAC channel models. Nevertheless, a unified modeling framework has yet to be established. This paper provides a simulation diagram of ISAC channel modeling extended based on the Geometry-Based Stochastic Model (GBSM), compatible with existing 5G channel models and the latest progress in the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) standardization. We first introduce the progress of the ISAC channel model standardization in general. Then, a concatenated channel modeling approach is presented considering the team's standardization proposals, which is implemented on the BUPTCMCC-6G-CMG+ channel model generator. We validated the model in cumulative probability density function (CDF) in statistical extension of angle and delay, and radar cross section (RCS). Simulation results show that the proposed model can realistically characterize the feature of channel concatenation and RCS within the ISAC channel.

Research and Experimental Validation for 3GPP ISAC Channel Modeling Standardization

Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC) is considered a key technology in 6G networks. An accurate sensing channel model is crucial for the design and sensing performance evaluation of ISAC systems. The widely used Geometry-Based Stochastic Model (GBSM), typically applied in standardized channel modeling, mainly focuses on the statistical fading characteristics of the channel. However, it fails to capture the characteristics of targets in ISAC systems, such as their positions and velocities, as well as the impact of the targets on the background. To address this issue, this paper proposes an extended GBSM (E-GBSM) sensing channel model that incorporates newly discovered channel characteristics into a unified modeling framework. In this framework, the sensing channel is divided into target and background channels. For the target channel, the model introduces a concatenated modeling approach, while for the background channel, a parameter called the power control factor is introduced to assess impact of the target on the background channel, making the modeling framework applicable to both mono-static and bi-static sensing modes. To validate the proposed model's effectiveness, measurements of target and background channels are conducted in both indoor and outdoor scenarios, covering various sensing targets such as metal plates, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, human bodies, UAVs, and vehicles. The experimental results provide important theoretical support and empirical data for the standardization of ISAC channel modeling.

The Low-Altitude Economy Networking (LAENet) is emerging as a transformative paradigm that enables an integrated and sophisticated communication infrastructure to support aerial vehicles in carrying out a wide range of economic activities within low-altitude airspace. However, the physical layer communications in the LAENet face growing security threats due to inherent characteristics of aerial communication environments, such as signal broadcast nature and channel openness. These challenges highlight the urgent need for safeguarding communication confidentiality, availability, and integrity. In view of the above, this survey comprehensively reviews existing secure countermeasures for physical layer communication in the LAENet. We explore core methods focusing on anti-eavesdropping and authentication for ensuring communication confidentiality. Subsequently, availability-enhancing techniques are thoroughly discussed for anti-jamming and spoofing defense. Then, we review approaches for safeguarding integrity through anomaly detection and injection protection. Furthermore, we discuss future research directions, emphasizing energy-efficient physical layer security, multi-drone collaboration for secure communication, AI-driven security defense strategy, space-air-ground integrated security architecture, and 6G-enabled secure UAV communication. This survey may provide valuable references and new insights for researchers in the field of secure physical layer communication for the LAENet.

Advanced Codebook Design for SCMA-aided NTNs With Randomly Distributed Users

In this letter, a novel class of sparse codebooks is proposed for sparse code multiple access (SCMA) aided non-terrestrial networks (NTN) with randomly distributed users characterized by Rician fading channels. Specifically, we first exploit the upper bound of bit error probability (BEP) of an SCMA-aided NTN with large-scale fading of different users under Rician fading channels. Then, the codebook is designed by employing pulse-amplitude modulation constellation, user-specific rotation and power factors. To further reduce the optimization complexity while maintaining the power diversity of different users, an orthogonal layer-assisted joint layer and power assignment strategy is proposed. Finally, unlike existing SCMA codebook designs that treat all users as one super-user, we propose to minimize the BEP of the worst user to ensure user fairness. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme is capable of providing a substantial performance gain over conventional codebooks.

A Novel Environment Object Modeling Method for Vehicular ISAC Scenarios

Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC), as a fundamental technology of 6G, empowers Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) systems with enhanced sensing capabilities. One of its promising applications is the reliance on constructed maps for vehicle positioning. Traditional positioning methods primarily rely on Line-of-Sight (LOS), but in urban vehicular scenarios, obstructions often result in predominantly Non-Line-of-Sight (NLOS) conditions. Existing research indicates that NLOS paths, characterized by one-bounce reflection on building walls with determined delay and angle, can support sensing and positioning. However, experimental validation remains insufficient. To address this gap, channel measurements are conducted in an urban street to explore the existence of strong reflected paths in the presence of a vehicle target. The results show significant power contribution from NLOS paths, with large Environmental Objects (EOs) playing a key role in shaping NLOS propagation. Then, a novel model for EO reflection is proposed to extend the Geometry-Based Stochastic Model (GBSM) for ISAC channel standardization. Simulation results validate the model's ability to capture EO's power and position characteristics, showing that higher EO-reflected power and closer distance to Rx reduce Delay Spread (DS), which is more favorable for positioning. This model provides theoretical guidance and empirical support for ISAC positioning algorithms and system design in vehicular scenarios.

TrackOcc: Camera-based 4D Panoptic Occupancy Tracking

Comprehensive and consistent dynamic scene understanding from camera input is essential for advanced autonomous systems. Traditional camera-based perception tasks like 3D object tracking and semantic occupancy prediction lack either spatial comprehensiveness or temporal consistency. In this work, we introduce a brand-new task, Camera-based 4D Panoptic Occupancy Tracking, which simultaneously addresses panoptic occupancy segmentation and object tracking from camera-only input. Furthermore, we propose TrackOcc, a cutting-edge approach that processes image inputs in a streaming, end-to-end manner with 4D panoptic queries to address the proposed task. Leveraging the localization-aware loss, TrackOcc enhances the accuracy of 4D panoptic occupancy tracking without bells and whistles. Experimental results demonstrate that our method achieves state-of-the-art performance on the Waymo dataset. The source code will be released at https://github.com/Tsinghua-MARS-Lab/TrackOcc.

HIF: Height Interval Filtering for Efficient Dynamic Points Removal

3D point cloud mapping plays a essential role in localization and autonomous navigation. However, dynamic objects often leave residual traces during the map construction process, which undermine the performance of subsequent tasks. Therefore, dynamic object removal has become a critical challenge in point cloud based map construction within dynamic scenarios. Existing approaches, however, often incur significant computational overhead, making it difficult to meet the real-time processing requirements. To address this issue, we introduce the Height Interval Filtering (HIF) method. This approach constructs pillar-based height interval representations to probabilistically model the vertical dimension, with interval probabilities updated through Bayesian inference. It ensures real-time performance while achieving high accuracy and improving robustness in complex environments. Additionally, we propose a low-height preservation strategy that enhances the detection of unknown spaces, reducing misclassification in areas blocked by obstacles (occluded regions). Experiments on public datasets demonstrate that HIF delivers a 7.7 times improvement in time efficiency with comparable accuracy to existing SOTA methods. The code will be publicly available.

Imaging the photochemical dynamics of cyclobutanone with MeV ultrafast electron diffraction

We study the photoinduced chemical dynamics of cyclobutanone upon excitation at 200 nm to the 3s Rydberg state using MeV ultrafast electron diffraction (UED). We observe both the elastic scattering signal, which contains information about the structural dynamics, and the inelastic scattering signal, which encodes information about the electronic state. Our results suggest a sub-picosecond timescale for the photodissociation dynamics, and an excited state lifetime of about 230 femtoseconds. The dissociation is found to be dominated by the C3 channel where cyclopropane and CO are produced. The branching ratio of the C3 channel to the C2 channel where ethene and ketene are produced, is estimated to be approximately 5:3. Our data suggest that the C3 and C2 channels account for approximately 80% of the photoproducts, with the remaining 20% exhibiting ring-opened structures. It is found that the timescale associated with the dissociation process in the C2 channel is shorter compared to that in the C3 channel. Leveraging the enhanced temporal resolution of MeV UED, our results provide a real-time mapping of the nuclear wavepacket dynamics, capturing the complete photochemical dynamics from S2 minimum through the S1/S0 conical intersection, and finally to the dissociation. Our experimental results provide new insights into the Norrish Type I reaction and can be used to benchmark non-adiabatic dynamics simulations.

MoBA: Mixture of Block Attention for Long-Context LLMs

Scaling the effective context length is essential for advancing large language models (LLMs) toward artificial general intelligence (AGI). However, the quadratic increase in computational complexity inherent in traditional attention mechanisms presents a prohibitive overhead. Existing approaches either impose strongly biased structures, such as sink or window attention which are task-specific, or radically modify the attention mechanism into linear approximations, whose performance in complex reasoning tasks remains inadequately explored. In this work, we propose a solution that adheres to the ``less structure'' principle, allowing the model to determine where to attend autonomously, rather than introducing predefined biases. We introduce Mixture of Block Attention (MoBA), an innovative approach that applies the principles of Mixture of Experts (MoE) to the attention mechanism. This novel architecture demonstrates superior performance on long-context tasks while offering a key advantage: the ability to seamlessly transition between full and sparse attention, enhancing efficiency without the risk of compromising performance. MoBA has already been deployed to support Kimi's long-context requests and demonstrates significant advancements in efficient attention computation for LLMs. Our code is available at https://github.com/MoonshotAI/MoBA.

IDPro: Flexible Interactive Video Object Segmentation by ID-queried Concurrent Propagation

Interactive Video Object Segmentation (iVOS) is a challenging task that requires real-time human-computer interaction. To improve the user experience, it is important to consider the user's input habits, segmentation quality, running time and memory consumption. However, existing methods compromise user experience with single input mode and slow running speed. Specifically, these methods only allow the user to interact with one single frame, which limits the expression of the user's intent. To overcome these limitations and better align with people's usage habits, we propose a framework that can accept multiple frames simultaneously and explore synergistic interaction across frames (SIAF). Concretely, we designed the Across-Frame Interaction Module that enables users to annotate different objects freely on multiple frames. The AFI module will migrate scribble information among multiple interactive frames and generate multi-frame masks. Additionally, we employ the id-queried mechanism to process multiple objects in batches. Furthermore, for a more efficient propagation and lightweight model, we design a truncated re-propagation strategy to replace the previous multi-round fusion module, which employs an across-round memory that stores important interaction information. Our SwinB-SIAF achieves new state-of-the-art performance on DAVIS 2017 (89.6%, J&F@60). Moreover, our R50-SIAF is more than 3 faster than the state-of-the-art competitor under challenging multi-object scenarios.

A Survey on Responsible LLMs: Inherent Risk, Malicious Use, and Mitigation Strategy

While large language models (LLMs) present significant potential for supporting numerous real-world applications and delivering positive social impacts, they still face significant challenges in terms of the inherent risk of privacy leakage, hallucinated outputs, and value misalignment, and can be maliciously used for generating toxic content and unethical purposes after been jailbroken. Therefore, in this survey, we present a comprehensive review of recent advancements aimed at mitigating these issues, organized across the four phases of LLM development and usage: data collecting and pre-training, fine-tuning and alignment, prompting and reasoning, and post-processing and auditing. We elaborate on the recent advances for enhancing the performance of LLMs in terms of privacy protection, hallucination reduction, value alignment, toxicity elimination, and jailbreak defenses. In contrast to previous surveys that focus on a single dimension of responsible LLMs, this survey presents a unified framework that encompasses these diverse dimensions, providing a comprehensive view of enhancing LLMs to better serve real-world applications.

In situ Qubit Frequency Tuning Circuit for Scalable Superconducting Quantum Computing: Scheme and Experiment

Frequency tunable qubit plays a significant role for scalable superconducting quantum processors. The state-of-the-art room-temperature electronics for tuning qubit frequency suffers from unscalable limit, such as heating problem, linear growth of control cables, etc. Here we propose a scalable scheme to tune the qubit frequency by using in situ superconducting circuit, which is based on radio frequency superconducting quantum interference device (rf-SQUID). We demonstrate both theoretically and experimentally that the qubit frequency could be modulated by inputting several single pulses into rf-SQUID. Compared with the traditional scheme, our scheme not only solves the heating problem, but also provides the potential to exponentially reduce the number of cables inside the dilute refrigerator and the room-temperature electronics resource for tuning qubit frequency, which is achieved by a time-division-multiplex (TDM) scheme combining rf-SQUID with switch arrays. With such TDM scheme, the number of cables could be reduced from the usual $\sim 3n$ to $\sim \log_2{(3n)} + 1$ for two-dimensional quantum processors comprising $n$ qubits and $\sim 2n$ couplers. Our work paves the way for large-scale control of superconducting quantum processor.

A Probabilistic Fluctuation based Membership Inference Attack for Diffusion Models

Membership Inference Attack (MIA) identifies whether a record exists in a machine learning model's training set by querying the model. MIAs on the classic classification models have been well-studied, and recent works have started to explore how to transplant MIA onto generative models. Our investigation indicates that existing MIAs designed for generative models mainly depend on the overfitting in target models. However, overfitting can be avoided by employing various regularization techniques, whereas existing MIAs demonstrate poor performance in practice. Unlike overfitting, memorization is essential for deep learning models to attain optimal performance, making it a more prevalent phenomenon. Memorization in generative models leads to an increasing trend in the probability distribution of generating records around the member record. Therefore, we propose a Probabilistic Fluctuation Assessing Membership Inference Attack (PFAMI), a black-box MIA that infers memberships by detecting these trends via analyzing the overall probabilistic fluctuations around given records. We conduct extensive experiments across multiple generative models and datasets, which demonstrate PFAMI can improve the attack success rate (ASR) by about 27.9% when compared with the best baseline.

Bessel functions and Weyl's law for balls and spherical shells

The purpose of this paper is twofold. One is to investigate the properties of the zeros of cross-products of Bessel functions or derivatives of ultraspherical Bessel functions, as well as the properties of the zeros of the derivative of the first-kind ultraspherical Bessel function. The properties we study include asymptotics (with uniform and nonuniform remainder estimates), upper and lower bounds and so on. In addition, we provide the number of zeros of a certain cross-product within a large circle and show that all its zeros are real and simple. These results may be of independent interest. The other is to investigate the Dirichlet/Neumann Laplacian on balls and spherical shells in $\mathbb{R}^d$ ($d\geq 2$) and the remainder of the associated Weyl's law. We obtain new upper bounds in all dimensions, both in the Dirichlet and Neumann cases. The proof relies on our studies of Bessel functions and the latest development in the Gauss circle problem, which was driven by the application of the emerging decoupling theory of harmonic analysis.

Spatiotemporal Blind-Spot Network with Calibrated Flow Alignment for Self-Supervised Video Denoising

Self-supervised video denoising aims to remove noise from videos without relying on ground truth data, leveraging the video itself to recover clean frames. Existing methods often rely on simplistic feature stacking or apply optical flow without thorough analysis. This results in suboptimal utilization of both inter-frame and intra-frame information, and it also neglects the potential of optical flow alignment under self-supervised conditions, leading to biased and insufficient denoising outcomes. To this end, we first explore the practicality of optical flow in the self-supervised setting and introduce a SpatioTemporal Blind-spot Network (STBN) for global frame feature utilization. In the temporal domain, we utilize bidirectional blind-spot feature propagation through the proposed blind-spot alignment block to ensure accurate temporal alignment and effectively capture long-range dependencies. In the spatial domain, we introduce the spatial receptive field expansion module, which enhances the receptive field and improves global perception capabilities. Additionally, to reduce the sensitivity of optical flow estimation to noise, we propose an unsupervised optical flow distillation mechanism that refines fine-grained inter-frame interactions during optical flow alignment. Our method demonstrates superior performance across both synthetic and real-world video denoising datasets. The source code is publicly available at https://github.com/ZKCCZ/STBN.

Establishing a New Benchmark in Quantum Computational Advantage with 105-qubit Zuchongzhi 3.0 Processor

In the relentless pursuit of quantum computational advantage, we present a significant advancement with the development of Zuchongzhi 3.0. This superconducting quantum computer prototype, comprising 105 qubits, achieves high operational fidelities, with single-qubit gates, two-qubit gates, and readout fidelity at 99.90%, 99.62% and 99.18%, respectively. Our experiments with an 83-qubit, 32-cycle random circuit sampling on Zuchongzhi 3.0 highlight its superior performance, achieving one million samples in just a few hundred seconds. This task is estimated to be infeasible on the most powerful classical supercomputers, Frontier, which would require approximately $6.4\times 10^9$ years to replicate the task. This leap in processing power places the classical simulation cost six orders of magnitude beyond Google's SYC-67 and SYC-70 experiments [Nature 634, 328(2024)], firmly establishing a new benchmark in quantum computational advantage. Our work not only advances the frontiers of quantum computing but also lays the groundwork for a new era where quantum processors play an essential role in tackling sophisticated real-world challenges.

Experimental Analysis and Modeling of Penetration Loss for Building Materials in FR1 and FR3 bands

This study focuses on analysis and modeling of the penetration loss of typical building materials in the FR1 (450 MHz-6 GHz) and FR3 (7-24 GHz) bands based on experimental measurements. Firstly, we measure the penetration loss characteristics of four different typical building materials from 4 to 16 GHz, including wood, glass, foam and concrete, by using a penetration loss measurement platform based on the vector network analyzer (VNA). Next, we analyze the frequency dependence and thickness dependence of penetration loss. Finally, the linear model is applied to fit the curve of the measured penetration loss, and new model parameters for the penetration loss of different building materials are given, which are compared with that in the third generation partnership project (3GPP) technical report (TR) 38.901. The analysis results and new model parameters may provides insight into understanding propagation characteristics in FR1 and FR3 bands and 3GPP channel model standardisation.

Cascaded channel modeling and experimental validation for RIS assisted communication system

Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface (RIS) is considered as a promising technology for 6G due to its ability to actively modify the electromagnetic propagation environment. Accurate channel modeling is essential for the design and evaluation of RIS assisted communication systems. Most current research models the RIS channel as a cascade of Tx-RIS and RIS-Rx sub-channels. However, most validation efforts regarding this assumption focus on large-scale path loss. To further explore this, in this paper, we derive and extend a convolution expression of RIS cascaded channel model based on the previously proposed Geometry-based Stochastic Model (GBSM)-based RIS cascaded channels. This model follows the 3GPP standard framework and leverages parameters such as angles, delays, and path powers defined in the GBSM model to more accurately reflect the smallscale characteristics of RIS multipath cascades. To verify the accuracy of this model, we conduct measurements of the TxRIS-Rx channel, Tx-RIS, and RIS-Rx sub-channels in a factory environment at 6.9 GHz, using the measured data to demonstrate the models validity and applicability in real-world scenarios. Validation with measured data shows that the proposed model accurately describes the characteristics of the RIS cascaded channel in terms of delay, angle, and power in complex multipath environments, providing important references for the design and deployment of RIS systems.
