Localization of Energy and Momentum in an Asymptotically Reissner-Nordström Non-singular Black Hole Space-time Geometry

The space-time geometry exterior to a new four-dimensional, spherically symmetric and charged black hole solution that, through a coupling of general relativity with a non-linear electrodynamics, is everywhere non-singular, for small $r$ it behaves as a de Sitter metric, and asymptotically it behaves as the Reissner-Nordström metric, is considered in order to study the energy-momentum localization. For the calculation of the energy and momentum distributions, the Einstein, Landau-Lifshitz, Weinberg and Møller energy-momentum complexes have been applied. The results obtained show that in all prescriptions the energy depends on the mass $M$ of the black hole, the charge $q$, two parameters $% a\in \mathbb{Z}^+$ and $γ\in \mathbb{R}^+$, and on the radial coordinate $r$. The calculations performed in each prescription show that all the momenta vanish. Additionally, some limiting and particular cases for $r$ and $q$ are studied, and a possible connection with strong gravitational lensing and micro lensing is attempted.

On the energy of a non-singular black hole solution satisfying the weak energy condition

The energy-momentum localization for a new four-dimensional and spherically symmetric, charged black hole solution that through a coupling of general relativity with non-linear electrodynamics is everywhere non-singular while it satisfies the weak energy condition is investigated. The Einstein and M\{o} ller energy-momentum complexes have been employed in order to calculate the energy distribution and the momenta for the aforesaid solution. It is found that the energy distribution depends explicitly on the mass and the charge of the black hole, on two parameters arising from the space-time geometry considered, and on the radial coordinate. Further, in both prescriptions all the momenta vanish. In addition, a comparison of the results obtained by the two energy-momentum complexes is made, whereby some limiting and particular cases are pointed out.

Energy-momentum for a charged nonsingular black hole solution with a nonlinear mass function

The energy-momentum of a new four-dimensional, charged, spherically symmetric and nonsingular black hole solution constructed in the context of general relativity coupled to a theory of nonlinear electrodynamics is investigated, whereby the nonlinear mass function is inspired by the probability density function of the continuous logistic distribution. The energy and momentum distributions are calculated by use of the Einstein, Landau-Lifshitz, Weinberg and Møller energy-momentum complexes. In all these prescriptions it is found that the energy distribution depends on the mass $M$ and the charge $q$ of the black hole, an additional parameter $β$ coming from the gravitational background considered, and on the radial coordinate $r$. Further, the Landau-Lifshitz and Weinberg prescriptions yield the same result for the energy, while in all the aforesaid prescriptions all the momenta vanish. We also focus on the study of the limiting behavior of the energy for different values of the radial coordinate, the parameter $β$, and the charge $q$. Finally, it is pointed out that for $r\rightarrow \infty$ and $q = 0$ all the energy-momentum complexes yield the same expression for the energy distribution as in the case of the Schwarzschild black hole solution.

Einstein and Møller energy-momentum complexes for a new regular black hole solution with a nonlinear electrodynamics source

A study about the energy and momentum distributions of a new charged regular black hole solution with a nonlinear electrodynamics source is presented. The energy and momentum are calculated using the Einstein and Møller energy-momentum complexes. The results show that in both pseudotensorial prescriptions the expressions for the energy of the gravitational background depend on the mass $M$ and the charge $q$ of the black hole, an additional factor $β$ coming from the spacetime metric considered, and the radial coordinate $r$, while in both prescriptions all the momenta vanish. Further, it is pointed out that in some limiting and particular cases the two complexes yield the same expression for the energy distribution as that obtained in the relevant literature for the Schwarzschild black hole solution.

Energy distribution of a regular black hole solution in Einstein-nonlinear electrodynamics

In this work a study about the energy-momentum of a new four-dimensional spherically symmetric, static and charged, regular black hole solution developed in the context of general relativity coupled to nonlinear electrodynamics is presented. Asymptotically, this new black hole solution behaves as the Reissner-Nordström solution only for the particular value μ=4, where μ is a positive integer parameter appearing in the mass function of the solution. The calculations are performed by use of the Einstein, Landau-Lifshitz, Weinberg and Møller energy-momentum complexes. In all the aforesaid prescriptions, the expressions for the energy of the gravitating system considered depend on the mass M of the black hole, its charge q, a positive integer α and the radial coordinate r. In all these pseudotensorial prescriptions the momenta are found to vanish, while the Landau-Lifshitz and Weinberg prescriptions give the same result for the energy distribution. In addition, the limiting behavior of the energy for the cases r tends toward infinity, r=0 and q=0 is studied. The special case μ=4 and α=3 is also examined. We conclude that the Einstein and Møller energy-momentum complexes can be considered as the most reliable tools for the study of the energy-momentum localization of a gravitating system.

Minisuperspace Canonical Quantization of the Reissner-Nordstrom Black Hole via Conditional Symmetries

We use the conditional symmetry approach to study the $r$-evolution of a minisuperspace spherically symmetric model both at the classical and quantum level. After integration of the coordinates $t$, $θ$ and $ϕ$ in the gravitational plus electromagnetic action the configuration space dependent dynamical variables turn out to correspond to the $r$-dependent metric functions and the electrostatic field. In the context of the formalism for constrained systems (Dirac - Bergmann, ADM) with respect to the radial coordinate $r$, we set up a point-like reparameterization invariant Lagrangian. It is seen that, in the constant potential parametrization of the lapse, the corresponding minisuperspace is a Lorentzian three-dimensional flat manifold which obviously admits six Killing vector fields plus a homothetic one. The weakly vanishing $r$-Hamiltonian guarantees that the phase space quantities associated to the six Killing fields are linear holonomic integrals of motion. The homothetic field provides one more rheonomic integral of motion. These seven integrals are shown to comprise the entire classical solution space, i.e. the space-time of a Reissner-Nordström black hole, the $r$-reparametrization invariance since one dependent variable remains unfixed, and the two quadratic relations satisfied by the integration constants. We then quantize the model using the quantum analogues of the classical conditional symmetries, and show that the existence of such symmetries yields solutions to the Wheeler-DeWitt equation which, as a semiclassical analysis shows, exhibit a good correlation with the classical regime. We use the resulting wave functions to investigate the possibility of removing the classical singularities.

Conditional Symmetries and the Canonical Quantization of Constrained Minisuperspace Actions: the Schwarzschild case

A conditional symmetry is defined, in the phase-space of a quadratic in velocities constrained action, as a simultaneous conformal symmetry of the supermetric and the superpotential. It is proven that such a symmetry corresponds to a variational (Noether) symmetry. The use of these symmetries as quantum conditions on the wave-function entails a kind of selection rule. As an example, the minisuperspace model ensuing from a reduction of the Einstein - Hilbert action by considering static, spherically symmetric configurations and r as the independent dynamical variable, is canonically quantized. The conditional symmetries of this reduced action are used as supplementary conditions on the wave function. Their integrability conditions dictate, at a first stage, that only one of the three existing symmetries can be consistently imposed. At a second stage one is led to the unique Casimir invariant, which is the product of the remaining two, as the only possible second condition on $Ψ$. The uniqueness of the dynamical evolution implies the need to identify this quadratic integral of motion to the reparametrisation generator. This can be achieved by fixing a suitable parametrization of the r-lapse function, exploiting the freedom to arbitrarily rescale it. In this particular parametrization the measure is chosen to be the determinant of the supermetric. The solutions to the combined Wheeler - DeWitt and linear conditional symmetry equations are found and seen to depend on the product of the two "scale factors"

Locally Homogeneous Spaces, Induced Killing Vector Fields and Applications to Bianchi Prototypes

An answer to the question: Can, in general, the adoption of a given symmetry induce a further symmetry, which might be hidden at a first level? has been attempted in the context of differential geometry of locally homogeneous spaces. Based on E. Cartan's theory of moving frames, a methodology for finding all symmetries for any n dimensional locally homogeneous space is provided. The analysis is applied to 3 dimensional spaces, whereby the embedding of them into a 4 dimensional Lorentzian manifold is examined and special solutions to Einstein's field equations are recovered. The analysis is mainly of local character, since the interest is focused on local structures based on differential equations (and their symmetries), rather than on the implications of, e.g., the analytic continuation of their solution(s) and their dynamics in the large.

Towards Canonical Quantum Gravity for Geometries Admitting Maximally Symmetric Two-dimensional Surfaces

The 3+1 (canonical) decomposition of all geometries admitting two-dimensional space-like surfaces is exhibited. A proposal consisting of a specific re-normalization {\bf Assumption} and an accompanying {\bf Requirement} is put forward, which enables the canonical quantization of these geometries. The resulting Wheeler-deWitt equation is based on a re-normalized manifold parameterized by three smooth scalar functionals. The entire space of solutions to this equation is analytically given, exploiting the freedom left by the imposition of the {\bf Requirement} and contained in the third functional.

Towards Canonical Quantum Gravity for G1 Geometries in 2+1 Dimensions with a Lambda--Term

The canonical analysis and subsequent quantization of the (2+1)-dimensional action of pure gravity plus a cosmological constant term is considered, under the assumption of the existence of one spacelike Killing vector field. The proper imposition of the quantum analogues of the two linear (momentum) constraints reduces an initial collection of state vectors, consisting of all smooth functionals of the components (and/or their derivatives) of the spatial metric, to particular scalar smooth functionals. The demand that the midi-superspace metric (inferred from the kinetic part of the quadratic (Hamiltonian) constraint) must define on the space of these states an induced metric whose components are given in terms of the same states, which is made possible through an appropriate re-normalization assumption, severely reduces the possible state vectors to three unique (up to general coordinate transformations) smooth scalar functionals. The quantum analogue of the Hamiltonian constraint produces a Wheeler-DeWitt equation based on this reduced manifold of states, which is completely integrated.

Moeller's Energy-Momentum Complex for a Spacetime Geometry on a Noncommutative Curved D3-Brane

Moeller's energy-momentum complex is employed in order to determine the energy and momentum distributions for a spacetime described by a "generalized Schwarzschild" geometry in (3+1)-dimensions on a noncommutative curved D3-brane in an effective, open bosonic string theory. The geometry considered is obtained by an effective theory of gravity coupled with a nonlinear electromagnetic field and depends only on the generalized (effective) mass and charge which incorporate corrections of first order in the noncommutativity parameter.

Energy Distribution in a Schwarzschild-like Spacetime

In this paper, utilizing Møller's energy-momentum complex, we explicitly evaluate the energy and momentum density associated with a metric describing a four-dimensional, Schwarzschild-like, spacetime derived from an effective gravity coupled with a U(1) gauge field in the context of a D3-brane dynamics in the classical regime, i.e., between the asymptotic and the Planck regime.

Decoupling of the general scalar field mode and the solution space for Bianchi type I and V cosmologies coupled to perfect fluid sources

The scalar field degree of freedom in Einstein's plus Matter field equations is decoupled for Bianchi type I and V general cosmological models. The source, apart from the minimally coupled scalar field with arbitrary potential V(Phi), is provided by a perfect fluid obeying a general equation of state p =p(rho). The resulting ODE is, by an appropriate choice of final time gauge affiliated to the scalar field, reduced to 1st order, and then the system is completely integrated for arbitrary choices of the potential and the equation of state.

Energy and Momentum Distributions of the Magnetic Solution to (2+1) Einstein-Maxwell Gravity

We use Moeller's energy-momentum complex in order to explicitly evaluate the energy and momentum density distributions associated with the three-dimensional magnetic solution to the Einstein-Maxwell equations. The magnetic spacetime under consideration is a one-parametric solution describing the distribution of a radial magnetic field in a three-dimensional AdS background, and representing the superposition of the magnetic field with a 2+1 Einstein static gravitational field.

On 3+1 Dimensional Scalar Field Cosmologies

In this communication, we analyze the case of 3+1 dimensional scalar field cosmologies in the presence, as well as in the absence of spatial curvature, in isotropic, as well as in anisotropic settings. Our results extend those of Hawkins and Lidsey [Phys. Rev. D {\bf 66}, 023523 (2002)], by including the non-flat case. The Ermakov-Pinney methodology is developed in a general form, allowing through the converse results presented herein to use it as a tool for constructing new solutions to the original equations. As an example of this type a special blowup solution recently obtained in Christodoulakis {\it et al.} [gr-qc/0302120] is retrieved. Additional solutions of the 3+1 dimensional gravity coupled with the scalar field are also obtained. To illustrate the generality of the approach, we extend it to the anisotropic case of Bianchi types I and V and present some related open problems.
