Sharp estimates for imaginary powers of Bessel operators

Let $L f(x):=-\frac{d^2}{dx^2}f(x)-\frac{ r}{x}\frac{d}{dx}f(x),\quad x>0, r>0$ be the Bessel operator on $((0,\infty), |\cdot|, x^rdx)$. In this paper, we prove the sharp weak type $(1,1)$ estimate for the imaginary power $L^{iα}, α\in \mathbb R$, of the Bessel operator.

Calderón-Zygmund operators on local hardy spaces

We give necessary and sufficient conditions for inhomogeneous Calderón-Zgymund operators to be bounded on the local hardy spaces $h^p(\mathbb{R}^n)$. We then give applications to local and truncated Riesz transforms, as well as pseudo-differential operators defined by amplitudes.

Heat kernels of generalized degenerate Schrödinger operators and Hardy spaces

Let $\displaystyle L = -\frac{1}{w} \, \mathrm{div}(A \, \nabla u) + μ$ be the generalized degenerate Schrödinger operator in $L^2_w(\mathbb{R}^d)$ with $d\ge 3$ with suitable weight $w$ and measure $μ$. The main aim of this paper is threefold. First, we obtain an upper bound for the fundamental solution of the operator $L$. Secondly, we prove some estimates for the heat kernel of $L$ including an upper bound, the Hölder continuity and a comparison estimate. Finally, we apply the results to study the maximal function characterization for the Hardy spaces associated to the critical function generated by the operator $L$.

Functional calculus of operators with heat kernel bounds on non-doubling manifolds with ends

Let $Δ$ be the Laplace--Beltrami operator acting on a non-doubling manifold with two ends $\mathbb R^m \sharp \mathcal R^n$ with $m > n \ge 3$. Let $\frak{h}_t(x,y)$ be the kernels of the semigroup $e^{-tΔ}$ generated by $Δ$. We say that a non-negative self-adjoint operator $L$ on $L^2(\mathbb R^m \sharp \mathcal R^n)$ has a heat kernel with upper bound of Gaussian type if the kernel $h_t(x,y)$ of the semigroup $e^{-tL}$ satisfies $ h_t(x,y) \le C \frak{h}_{αt}(x,y)$ for some constants $C$ and $α$. This class of operators includes the Schrödinger operator $L = Δ+ V$ where $V$ is an arbitrary non-negative potential. We then obtain upper bounds of the Poisson semigroup kernel of $L$ together with its time derivatives and use them to show the weak type $(1,1)$ estimate for the holomorphic functional calculus $\frak{M}(\sqrt{L})$ where $\frak{M}(z)$ is a function of Laplace transform type. Our result covers the purely imaginary powers $L^{is}, s \in \mathbb R$, as a special case and serves as a model case for weak type $(1,1)$ estimates of singular integrals with non-smooth kernels on non-doubling spaces.

Spectral multipliers of self-adjoint operators on Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin spaces associated to operators

Let $X$ be a space of homogeneous type and let $L$ be a nonnegative self-adjoint operator on $L^2(X)$ which satisfies a Gaussian estimate on its heat kernel. In this paper we prove a Hömander type spectral multiplier theorem for $L$ on the Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin spaces associated to $L$. Our work not only recovers the boundedness of the spectral multipliers on $L^p$ spaces and Hardy spaces associated to $L$, but also is the first one which proves the boundedness of a general spectral theorem on Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin spaces.

Weighted Besov and Triebel--Lizorkin spaces associated to operators

Let $X$ be a space of homogeneous type and $L$ be a nonnegative self-adjoint operator on $L^2(X)$ satisfying Gaussian upper bounds on its heat kernels. In this paper we develop the theory of weighted Besov spaces $\dot{B}^{α,L}_{p,q,w}(X)$ and weighted Triebel--Lizorkin spaces $\dot{F}^{α,L}_{p,q,w}(X)$ associated to the operator $L$ for the full range $0<p,q\le \infty$, $α\in \mathbb R$ and $w$ being in the Muckenhoupt weight class $A_\infty$. Similarly to the classical case in the Euclidean setting, we prove that our new spaces satisfy important features such as continuous charaterizations in terms of square functions, atomic decompositions and the identifications with some well known function spaces such as Hardy type spaces and Sobolev type spaces. Moreover, with extra assumptions on the operator $L$, we prove that the new function spaces associated to $L$ coincide with the classical function spaces. Finally we apply our results to prove the boundedness of the fractional power of $L$ and the spectral multiplier of $L$ in our new function spaces.

Regularity estimates for Green operators of Dirichlet and Neumann problems on weighted Hardy spaces

In this paper we first study the generalized weighted Hardy spaces $H^p_{L,w}(X)$ for $0<p\le 1$ associated to nonnegative self-adjoint operators $L$ satisfying Gaussian upper bounds on the space of homogeneous type $X$ in both cases of finite and infinite measure. We show that the weighted Hardy spaces defined via maximal functions and atomic decompositions coincide. Then we prove weighted regularity estimates for the Green operators of the inhomogeneous Dirichlet and Neumann problems in suitable bounded or unbounded domains including bounded semiconvex domains, convex regions above a Lipschitz graph and upper half-spaces. Our estimates are in terms of weighted $L^p$ spaces for the range $1<p<\infty$ and in terms of the new weighted Hardy spaces for the range $0<p\le 1$. Our regularity estimates for the Green operators under the weak smoothness assumptions on the boundaries of the domains are new, especially the estimates on Hardy spaces for the full range $0<p\le 1$ and the case of unbounded domains.

Maximal function characterizations for Hardy spaces on spaces of homogeneous type with finite measure and applications

We prove nontangential and radial maximal function characterizations for Hardy spaces associated to a non-negative self-adjoint operator satisfying Gaussian estimates on a space of homogeneous type with finite measure. This not only addresses an open point in the literature, but also gives a complete answer to the question posed by Coifman and Weiss in the case of finite measure. We then apply our results to give maximal function characterizations for Hardy spaces associated to second order elliptic operators with Neumann and Dirichlet boundary conditions, Schrödinger operators with Dirichlet boundary conditions, and Fourier--Bessel operators.

Sharp $L^p$ estimates for Schrödinger groups on spaces of homogeneous type

We prove an $L^{p}$ estimate $$ \|e^{-itL} φ(L)f\|_{p}\lesssim (1+|t|)^s\|f\|_p, \qquad t\in \mathbb{R}, \qquad s=n\left|\frac{1}{2}-\frac{1}{p}\right| $$ for the Schrödinger group generated by a semibounded, selfadjoint operator $L$ on a metric measure space $\mathcal{X}$ of homogeneous type (where $n$ is the doubling dimension of $\mathcal{X}$). The assumptions on $L$ are a mild $L^{p_{0}}\to L^{p_{0}'}$ smoothing estimate and a mild $L^{2}\to L^{2}$ off--diagonal estimate for the corresponding heat kernel $e^{-tL}$. The estimate is uniform for $ φ$ varying in bounded sets of $\mathscr{S}(\mathbb{R})$, or more generally of a suitable weighted Sobolev space. We also prove, under slightly stronger assumptions on $L$, that the estimate extends to $$ \|e^{-itL} φ(θL)f\|_{p}\lesssim (1+θ^{-1}|t|)^s\|f\|_p, \qquad θ>0, \quad t\in \mathbb{R}, $$ with uniformity also for $θ$ varying in bounded subsets of $(0,+\infty)$. For nonnegative operators uniformity holds for all $θ>0$.

Maximal function characterizations for new local Hardy type spaces on spaces of homogeneous type

Let $X$ be a space of homogeneous type and let $\mathfrak{L}$ be a nonnegative self-adjoint operator on $L^2(X)$ enjoying Gaussian estimates. The main aim of this paper is twofold. Firstly, we prove the (local) nontangential and radial maximal function charaterization for the local Hardy spaces associated to $\mathfrak{L}$. This deduces the maximal function charaterization for local Hardy spaces in the sense of Coifman and Weiss provided that $\mathfrak{L}$ satisfies certain extra conditions. Secondly, we introduce the local Hardy space associated to the critical function $ρ$ which is motivated by the theory of Hardy spaces related to Schrödinger operators and includes the local Hardy spaces of Coifman and Weiss as a special case. Then we prove that these local Hardy spaces can be characterized by the the local nontangential and radial maximal function charaterization related to $\mathfrak{L}$ and $ρ$ and the global maximal function charaterizations associated to `perturbations' of $\mathfrak{L}$. As applications, we apply our theory to obtain a number of new results on maximal characterizations for the local Hardy type spaces in various settings ranging from Shrödinger operators on manifolds to Shrödinger operators on connected and simply connected nilpotent Lie groups.

Global Marcinkiewicz estimates for nonlinear parabolic equations with nonsmooth coefficients

Consider the parabolic equation with measure data \begin{equation*} \left\{ \begin{aligned} &u_t-{\rm div} \mathbf{a}(D u,x,t)=μ&\text{in}& \quad Ω_T, &u=0 \quad &\text{on}& \quad \partial_pΩ_T, \end{aligned}\right. \end{equation*} where $Ω$ is a bounded domain in $\mathbb{R}^n$, $Ω_T=Ω\times (0,T)$, $\partial_pΩ_T=(\partialΩ\times (0,T))\cup (Ω\times\{0\})$, and $μ$ is a signed Borel measure with finite total mass. Assume that the nonlinearity ${\bf a}$ satisfies a small BMO-seminorm condition, and $Ω$ is a Reifenberg flat domain. This paper proves a global Marcinkiewicz estimate for the SOLA (Solution Obtained as Limits of Approximation) to the parabolic equation.

Global Lorentz estimates for nonlinear parabolic equations on nonsmooth domains

Consider the nonlinear parabolic equation in the form $$ u_t-{\rm div} \mathbf{a}(D u,x,t)={\rm div}\,(|F|^{p-2}F) \quad \text{in} \quad Ω\times(0,T), $$ where $T>0$ and $Ω$ is a Reifenberg domain. We suppose that the nonlinearity $\mathbf{a}(ξ,x,t)$ has a small BMO norm with respect to $x$ and is merely measurable and bounded with respect to the time variable $t$. In this paper, we prove the global Calderón-Zygmund estimates for the weak solution to this parabolic problem in the setting of Lorentz spaces which includes the estimates in Lebesgue spaces. Our global Calderón-Zygmund estimates extend certain previous results to equations with less regularity assumptions on the nonlinearity $\mathbf{a}(ξ,x,t)$ and to more general setting of Lorentz spaces.

Weighted variable exponent Sobolev estimates for elliptic equations with non-standard growth and measure data

Consider the following nonlinear elliptic equation of $p(x)$-Laplacian type with nonstandard growth \begin{equation*} \left\{ \begin{aligned} &{\rm div} a(Du, x)=μ\quad &\text{in}& \quad Ω, &u=0 \quad &\text{on}& \quad \partialΩ, \end{aligned} \right. \end{equation*} where $Ω$ is a Reifenberg domain in $\mathbb{R}^n$, $μ$ is a Radon measure defined on $Ω$ with finite total mass and the nonlinearity $a: \mathbb{R}^n\times \mathbb{R}^n\to \mathbb{R}^n$ is modeled upon the $p(\cdot)$-Laplacian. We prove the estimates on weighted {\it variable exponent} Lebesgue spaces for gradients of solutions to this equation in terms of Muckenhoupt--Wheeden type estimates. As a consequence, we obtain some new results such as the weighted $L^q-L^r$ regularity (with constants $q < r$) and estimates on Morrey spaces for gradients of the solutions to this non-linear equation.

Weighted estimates for powers and Smoothing estimates of Schrödinger operators with inverse-square potentials

Let $\mathcal{L}_a$ be a Schrödinger operator with inverse square potential $a|x|^{-2}$ on $\mathbb{R}^d, d\geq 3$. The main aim of this paper is to prove weighted estimates for fractional powers of $\mathcal{L}_a$. The proof is based on weighted Hardy inequalities and weighted inequalities for square functions associated to $\mathcal{L}_a$. As an application, we obtain smoothing estimates regarding the propagator $e^{it\mathcal{L}_a}$.

$T1$ criterions for generalised Calderón--Zygmund type operators on Hardy and BMO spaces associated to Schrödinger operators and applications

Suppose $L=-Δ+V$ is a Schrödinger operator on $\mathbb{R}^n$ with a potential $V$ belonging to certain reverse Hölder class $RH_σ$ with $σ\geq n/2$. The main aim of this paper is to provide necessary and sufficient conditions in terms of $T1$ criteria for a generalised Calderón--Zygmund type operator with respect to $L$ to be bounded on Hardy spaces $H^p_L(\mathbb{R}^n)$ and on BMO type spaces BMO$_L^α(\mathbb{R}^n)$ associated with $L$. As applications, we prove the boundedness for several singular integral operators associated to $L$. Our approach is flexible enough to prove the boundedness of the Riesz transforms related to $L$ with $n/2 \leq σ<n$ which were investigated in \cite{MSTZ} under the stronger condition $σ\geq n$. Thus our results not only recover existing results in \cite{MSTZ} but also contains new results in literature.

Weighted bounds for multilinear operators with non-smooth kernels

Let $T$ be a multilinear integral operator which is bounded on certain products of Lebesgue spaces on $\mathbb R^n$. We assume that its associated kernel satisfies some mild regularity condition which is weaker than the usual Hölder continuity of those in the class of multilinear Calderón-Zygmund singular integral operators. In this paper, given a suitable multiple weight $\vec{w}$, we obtain the bound for the weighted norm of multilinear operators $T$ in terms of $\vec{w}$. As applications, we exploit this result to obtain the weighted bounds for certain singular integral operators such as linear and multilinear Fourier multipliers and the Riesz transforms associated to Schrödinger operators on $\mathbb{R}^n$. Our results are new even in the linear case.

Weighted bounds for multilinear square functions

Let $\vec{P}=(p_1,\dotsc,p_m)$ with $1<p_1,\dotsc,p_m<\infty$, $1/p_1+\dotsb+1/p_m=1/p$ and $\vec{w}=(w_1,\dotsc,w_m)\in A_{\vec{P}}$. In this paper, we investigate the weighted bounds with dependence on aperture $α$ for multilinear square functions $S_{α,ψ}(\vec{f})$. We show that $$ \|S_{α,ψ}(\vec{f})\|_{L^p(ν_{\vec{w}})} \leq C_{n,m,ψ,\vec{P}}~ α^{mn}[\vec{w}]_{A_{\vec{P}}}^{\max(\frac{1}{2},\tfrac{p_1'}{p},\dotsc,\tfrac{p_m'}{p})} \prod_{i=1}^m \|f_i\|_{L^{p_i}(w_i)}. $$ This result extends the result in the linear case which was obtained by Lerner in 2014. Our proof is based on the local mean oscillation technique presented firstly to find the weighted bounds for Calderón--Zygmund operators. This method helps us avoiding intrinsic square functions in the proof of our main result.
