K-moduli of log del Pezzo pairs and variations of GIT

We study the K-moduli of log del Pezzo pairs formed by a del Pezzo surface of degree $d$ and an anti-canonical divisor. These moduli spaces naturally depend on one parameter, providing a natural problem in variations of K-moduli spaces. For degrees 2, 3, 4, we establish an isomorphism between the K-moduli spaces and variations of Geometric Invariant Theory compactifications, which generalizes the isomorphisms in the absolute cases established by Odaka--Spotti--Sun and Mabuchi--Mukai.

An algebraic comparison of $\widehat{\mathrm K}$-stability and $\mathrm K^β$-stability

We establish a uniform quantitative comparison between the non-Archimedean Mabuchi functional and the Darvas--Zhang quantised Mabuchi functional. For a smooth polarised variety with finite automorphism group, we provide an algebraic proof that uniform $\widehat{\mathrm K}$-polystability is equivalent to uniform $\mathrm K^β$-stability for every sufficiently large rational $β>1$, without passing through the existence of a cscK metric. The main input is a square-root estimate for directional derivatives of non-Archimedean energies, proved by intersection theory. We also study a reduced $\mathrm{K}^β$-stability condition when the identity component of the polarised automorphism group is reductive and the Futaki character vanishes. We conclude by characterising K-semistability in terms of asymptotic $\mathrm K^β$-semistability and prove the quantitative convergence of the corresponding stability thresholds.

$Θ$-reductivity and $S$-completeness for adjoint Fano foliated structures

We prove the valuative criteria of $Θ$-reductivity and $S$-completeness for the moduli problem of $t$-K-semistable adjoint Fano foliated structures. We develop a mixed Ding theory for arbitrary linearly bounded multiplicative filtrations, prove inversion of adjunction with arbitrary ideals for adjoint foliated structures, and establish a relative extraction and finite generation theorem. Together, these results yield the required relative extension theorems for families. As applications, we prove uniqueness of $t$-K-polystable degenerations, reductivity of the automorphism group of $t$-K-polystable adjoint Fano foliated structures, and finiteness of the automorphism group in the $t$-K-stable case.

Singularity criteria for K-stability of adjoint foliated structures

We prove singularity criteria for the $t$-K-stability of adjoint foliated structures. We first show that K-semistability of adjoint foliated structures implies log canonicity by extending Odaka's flag ideal characterisation of the mixed Donaldson--Futaki invariant to the adjoint foliated setting. We then prove that adjoint Calabi--Yau foliated structures are K-semistable, and klt ones are K-stable, while log canonical adjoint general type foliated structures are K-stable with respect to the canonical polarisation. We also show that K-semistable adjoint Fano foliated structures are klt. In particular, their ambient varieties are potentially klt and of Fano type.

K-stability of adjoint foliated structures

We introduce a notion of K-stability for adjoint foliated structures via test configurations and the foliated Donaldson-Futaki invariant. We prove reduction to special test configurations for adjoint Fano foliated structures by showing that the mixed Donaldson-Futaki invariant is non-increasing along the birational procedure. We also introduce a notion of Ding stability for adjoint Fano foliated structures which we show is equivalent to our notion of K-stability. We then introduce mixed alpha, beta and delta-invariants and use the reduction theorem to establish valuative criteria for the K-stability of adjoint Fano foliated structures. To conclude, as an application, we show that K-semistable adjoint Fano foliated structures with bounded volume form a bounded family.

Nets of quadric surfaces and plane cubics and their GIT stability

A general net of quadric surfaces, together with a choice of a base point, defines a net of plane cubics via the Gale transformation of the remaining seven base points. To both nets, one can also naturally associate the same smooth plane quartic. In this paper, we generalize the cycle of correspondences arising from nets of quadrics that define rational elliptic threefolds and provide a complete criterion for GIT stability of the three underlying geometric objects using birational-geometric techniques.

K-Moduli of Fano Threefolds of Family 3.3

We explicitly fully describe the K-moduli space of Fano threefold family number 3.3. We first show that K-semistable Fano varieties with volume greater than 18 are Gorenstein canonical and admit general elephants, decreasing the bound on a result by Liu and Zhao. Combining this with the moduli-continuity method via lattice-polarized K3 surfaces, we identify the K-moduli stack parametrising K-semistable varieties in family number 3.3 with a Kirwan blow up of the natural GIT quotient of $(1,1,2)$ divisors in $\mathbb{P}^1\times \mathbb{P}^1\times \mathbb{P}^2$.

K-moduli of log Fano complete intersections

We explicitly describe the K-moduli compactifications and wall crossings of log pairs formed by a Fano complete intersection of two quadric threefolds and a hyperplane, by constructing an isomorphism with the VGIT quotient of such complete intersections and a hyperplane. We further characterize all possible such GIT quotients based on singularities. We also explicitly describe the K-moduli of the deformation family of Fano 3-folds 2.25 in the Mori--Mukai classification, which can be viewed as blow ups of complete intersections of two quadrics in dimension three, by showing there exists an isomorphism to a GIT quotient which we also explicitly describe. Furthermore, we also construct computational algorithmic methods to study VGIT quotients of complete intersections and hyperplanes, which we use to obtain the explicit descriptions detailed above. We also introduce the reverse moduli continuity method, which allows us to relate canonical GIT compactifications to K-moduli of Fano varieties.

On divisorial stability of finite covers

Divisorial stability of a polarised variety is a stronger - but conjecturally equivalent - variant of uniform K-stability introduced by Boucksom-Jonsson. Whereas uniform K-stability is defined in terms of test configurations, divisorial stability is defined in terms of convex combinations of divisorial valuations on the variety. We consider the behaviour of divisorial stability under finite group actions, and prove that equivariant divisorial stability of a polarised variety is equivalent to log divisorial stability of its quotient. We use this and an interpolation technique to give a general construction of equivariantly divisorially stable polarised varieties.

GIT of complete intersections and log canonical thresholds

We establish a link between the GIT stability of complete intersections of same degree hypersurfaces in the same ambient projective space, which can be parametrised as tuples in a Grassmanian scheme, and the log canonical thresholds of hypersurfaces contained in these tuples. We also establish a similar link in the case of Variations of GIT quotients, where we consider tuples of complete intersections and distinct hyperplanes.
