Distribution Relationship of Quantum Battery Capacity

The distribution relationship of quantum battery capacity is investigated. First, it is proved that for two-qubit X-states, the sum of the subsystem battery capacities does not exceed the total system's battery capacity, and the conditions are provided under which they are equal. Then define the difference between the total system's and subsystems'battery capacities as the residual battery capacity (RBC) and show that this can be divided into coherent and incoherent components. Furthermore, it is observed that this capacity monogamy relation for quantum batteries extends to general n-qubit X states and any n-qubit X state's battery capacity distribution can be optimized to achieve capacity gain through an appropriate global unitary evolution. Specifically, for general three-qubit X states, stronger distributive relations are derived for battery capacity. Quantum batteries are believed to hold significant potential for outperforming classical counterparts in the future. These findings contribute to the development and enhancement of quantum battery theory.

Witness based nonlinear detection of quantum entanglement

We present a nonlinear entanglement detection strategy which detects entanglement that the linear detection strategy fails. We show that when the nonlinear entanglement detection strategy fails to detect the entanglement of an entangled state with two copies, it may succeed with three or more copies. Based on our strategy, a witness combined with a suitable quanutm mechanical observable may detect the entanglement that can not be detected by the witness alone. Moreover, our strategy can also be applied to detect multipartite entanglement by using the witnesses for bipartite systems, as well as to entanglement concentrations.

Impact of the Hawking Effect on the Fully Entangled Fraction of Three-qubit States in Schwarzschild Spacetime

Wu et al. [J. High Energ. Phys. 2023, 232 (2023)] first found that the fidelity of quantum teleportation with a bipartite entangled resource state, completely determined by the fully entangled fraction (FEF) characterized by the maximal fidelity between the given quantum state and the set of maximally entangled states, can monotonically increase in Schwarzschild spacetime. We investigated the Hawking effect on the FEF of quantum states in tripartite systems. In this paper, we show that the Hawking effect of a black hole may both decrease and increase the FEF in Schwarzschild spacetime. For an initial X-type state, we found that the Hawking effect of the black hole has both positive and negative impacts on the FEF of Dirac fields, depending on the selection of initial states. For an initial W-like state, the Hawking effect of the black hole has only a positive impact on the FEF of Dirac fields, independent of the selection of initial states. Our results provide an insightful view of quantum teleportation in multipartite systems under the influence of Hawking effects, from the perspective of quantum information and general relativity.

Dynamics of quantum battery capacity under Markovian channels

We study the dynamics of the quantum battery capacity for the Bell-diagonal states under Markovian channels on the first subsystem. We show that the capacity increases for special Bell-diagonal states under amplitude damping channel. The sudden death of the capacity occurs under depolarizing channel. We also investigate the capacity evolution of Bell-diagonal states under Markovian channels on the first subsystem $n$ times. It is shown that the capacity under depolarizing channel decreases initially, then increases for small $n$ and tend to zero for large $n$. We find that under bit flip channel and amplitude damping channel, the quantum battery capacity of special Bell-diagonal states tends to a constant for large $n$, namely, the frozen capacity occurs. The dynamics of the capacity of the Bell-diagonal states under two independent same type local Markovian channels is also studied.

A unifying separability criterion based on extended correlation tensor

Entanglement is fundamental inasmuch because it rephrases the quest for the classical-quantum demarcation line, and it also has potentially enormous practical applications in modern information technology. In this work, employing the approach of matrix decomposition, we introduce and formulate a practicable criterion for separability based on the correlation tensor. It is interesting that this criterion unifies several relevant separability criteria proposed before, even stronger than some of them. Theoretical analysis and detailed examples demonstrate its availability and feasibility for entanglement detection. Furthermore we build a family of entanglement witnesses using the criterion according to its linearity in the density operator space.

Moments based entanglement criteria and measures

Quantum entanglement plays a key role in quantum computation and quantum information processing. It is of great significance to find efficient and experimentally friend separability criteria to detect entanglement. In this paper, we firstly propose two easily used entanglement criteria based on matrix moments. The first entanglement criterion only uses the first two realignment moments of a density matrix. The second entanglement criterion is based on the moments related to the partially transposed matrix. By detailed examples we illustrate the effectiveness of these criteria in detecting entanglement. Moreover, we provide an experimentally measurable lower bound of concurrence based on these moments. Finally, we present both bipartite and genuine tripartite entanglement measures based on the moments of the reduced states. By detailed examples, we show that our entanglement measures characterize the quantum entanglement in a more fine ways than the existing measures.

Local-projective-measurement-enhanced quantum battery capacity

Quantum batteries have significant potential applications for future industry and daily life. The capacity is an important indicator for a battery. Methods to improve the capacity of quantum batteries are important. We consider quantum batteries given by bipartite quantum systems and study the enhancement of the battery capacity under local projective measurements on a subsystem of the quantum state. By using two-qubit Bell-diagonal states and X-type states as examples, we show that quantum battery capacity with respect to the whole system or a subsystem can be improved by local projective measurements. Our theoretical analysis will provide ideas for the experimental development of quantum batteries.

Sharing Bell nonlocality of bipartite high-dimensional pure states using only projective measurements

Bell nonlocality is the key quantum resource in some device-independent quantum information processing. It is of great importance to study the efficient sharing of this resource. Unsharp measurements are widely used in sharing the nonlocality of an entangled state shared among several sequential observers. Recently, the authors in [Phys. Rev. Lett.129, 230402(2022)] showed that the Bell nonlocality of two-qubit pure states can be shared even when one only uses projective measurements and local randomness. We demonstrate that projective measurements are also sufficient for sharing the Bell nonlocality of arbitrary high-dimensional pure bipartite states. Our results promote further understanding of the nonlocality sharing of high-dimensional quantum states under projective measurements.

Unidirectional Photonic Reflector Using a Defective Atomic Lattice

Based on the broken spatial symmetry, we propose a novel scheme for engineering a unidirectional photonic reflector using a one-dimensional atomic lattice with defective cells that have been specifically designed to be vacant. By trapping three-level atoms and driving them into the regime of electromagnetically induced transparency, and through the skillful design of the number and position of vacant cells in the lattice, numerical simulations demonstrate that a broad and high unidirectional reflection region can be realized within EIT window. This proposed unidirectional reflector scheme provides a new platform for achieving optical nonreciprocity and has potential applications for designing optical circuits and devices of nonreciprocity at extremely low energy levels.

Hawking effect can generate physically inaccessible genuine tripartite nonlocality

We explore the acceleration effect on the genuine tripartite nonlocality (GTN) for one or two accelerated detector(s) coupled to the vacuum field with initial mixed tripartite states. We show that the Hawking radiation degrades the physically accessible GTN, which suffers from "sudden death" at certain critical Hawking temperature. An novel phenomenon has been observed first time that the Hawking effect can generate the physically inaccessible GTN for fermion fields in curved spacetime, the "sudden birth" of the physically inaccessible GTN. This result shows that the GTN can pass through the event horizon of black hole for certain mixed initial states. We also derived analytically the tradeoff relations of genuine tripartite entanglement (GTE) and quantum coherence under the influence of Hawking effect.

System-environment dynamics of GHZ-like states in noninertial frames

Quantum coherence, quantum entanglement and quantum nonlocality are important resources in quantum information precessing. However, decoherence happens when a quantum system interacts with the external environments. We study the dynamical evolution of the three-qubit GHZ-like states in non-inertial frame when one and/or two qubits undergo decoherence. Under the amplitude damping channel we show that the quantum decoherence and the Unruh effect may have quite different influences on the initial state. Moreover, the genuine tripartite entanglement and the quantum coherence may suffer sudden death during the evolution. The quantum coherence is most resistent to the quantum decoherence and the Unruh effect, then comes the quantum entanglement and the quantum nonlocality which is most fragile among the three. The results provide a new research perspective for relativistic quantum informatics.

Criteria for SLOCC and LU Equivalence of Generic Multi-qudit States

In this paper, we study the stochastic local operation and classical communication (SLOCC) and local unitary (LU) equivalence for multi-qudit states by mode-$n$ matricization of the coefficient tensors. We establish a new scheme of using the CANDECOMP/PARAFAC (CP) decomposition of tensors to find necessary and sufficient conditions between the mode-$n$ unfolding and SLOCC\&LU equivalence for pure multi-qudit states. For multipartite mixed states, we present a necessary and sufficient condition for LU equivalence and necessary condition for SLOCC equivalence.

Quantum Bell nonlocality cannot be shared under a special kind of bilateral measurements for high-dimensional quantum states

Quantum Bell nonlocality is an important quantum phenomenon. Recently, the shareability of Bell nonlocality under unilateral measurements has been widely studied. In this study, we consider the shareability of quantum Bell nonlocality under bilateral measurements. Under a specific class of projection operators, we find that quantum Bell nonlocality cannot be shared for a limited number of times, as in the case of unilateral measurements. Our proof is analytical and our measurement strategies can be generalized to higher dimension cases.

Two Quantum Proxy Blind Signature Schemes Based on Controlled Quantum Teleportation

We present a scheme for teleporting an unknown, two-particle entangled state with a message from a sender (Alice) to a receiver (Bob) via a six-particle entangled channel. We also present another scheme for teleporting an unknown one-particle entangled state with a message transmitted in a two-way form between the same sender and receiver via a five-qubit cluster state. One-way hash functions, Bell-state measurements, and unitary operations are adopted in these two schemes. Our schemes use the physical characteristics of quantum mechanics to implement delegation, signature, and verification processes. Moreover, a quantum key distribution protocol and a one-time pad are adopted in these schemes.

Sharing Quantum Nonlocality in Star Network Scenarios

The Bell nonlocality is closely related to the foundations of quantum physics and has significant applications to security questions in quantum key distributions. In recent years, the sharing ability of the Bell nonlocality has been extensively studied. The nonlocality of quantum network states is more complex. We first discuss the sharing ability of the simplest bilocality under unilateral or bilateral POVM measurements, and show that the nonlocality sharing ability of network quantum states under unilateral measurements is similar to the Bell nonlocality sharing ability, but different under bilateral measurements. For the star network scenarios, we present for the first time comprehensive results on the nonlocality sharing properties of quantum network states, for which the quantum nonlocality of the network quantum states has a stronger sharing ability than the Bell nonlocality.

Quantum separability criteria based on realignment moments

Quantum entanglement is the core resource in quantum information processing and quantum computing. It is an significant challenge to effectively characterize the entanglement of quantum states. Recently, elegant separability criterion is presented in [Phys. Rev. Lett. 125, 200501 (2020)] by Elben et al. based on the first three partially transposed (PT) moments of density matrices. Then in [Phys. Rev. Lett. 127, 060504 (2021)] Yu \emph{et al.} proposed two general powerful criteria based on the PT moments. In this paper, based on the realignment operations of matrices we propose entanglement detection criteria in terms of such realignment moments. We show by detailed example that the realignment moments can also be used to identify quantum entanglement.

Separability criteria based on the Weyl operators

Entanglement as a vital resource for information processing can be described by special properties of the quantum state. Using the well-known Weyl basis we propose a new Bloch decomposition of the quantum state and study its separability problem. This decomposition enables us to find an alternative characterization of the separability based on the correlation matrix. We shaw that the criterion is effective in detecting entanglement for the isotropic states, Bell-diagonal states and some PPT entangled states. We also use the Weyl operators to construct an detecting operator for quantum teleportation.

Notes on quantum coherence with l_1-norm and convex-roof l_-norm

In this work, we evaluate quantum coherence using the l_1-norm and convex-roof l_1-norm and obtain several new results. First, we provide some new general triangle-like inequalities of quantum coherence, with results better than existing ones. Second, for some special three-dimensional quantum states, a method for calculating the convex-roof l_1-norm is presented. Lastly, we offer distinct upper bounds in the l_1-norm measure of coherence based on the quantum state itself.
