Self-Evolving Multimedia Verification through Memory Consolidation of Contestation Experiences

Multimedia verification requires not only accurate decisions but also traceable evidence, reliable human correction, and safe reuse of prior experience. Existing systems often lack explicit mechanisms for revising intermediate reasoning or preventing harmful knowledge transfer. We present SEMV (Self-Evolving Multimedia Verification), a self-evolving multi-agent framework that treats provenance-bearing arguments as the interface between evidence, reasoning, human contestation, and memory. SEMV combines arena-based quantitative bipolar argumentation (A-QBAF), causal and scoped revision, and verification-gated memory consolidation with explicit conflict retention. On COSMOS benchmark, SEMV achieves 91.88% accuracy versus 89.10% for the strongest comparable baseline. Verified memory reduces negative transfer from 5.7% to 0.2%. On CTR benchmark, constructed from reviewer contestations, scoped causal revision corrects 96.7% of initial errors while saving 52.8% compute. MV2026 Grand Challenge dataset further supports evidence-grounded, temporally consistent reporting. These results show that SEMV can evolve through verified experience while keeping accumulated knowledge and subsequent decisions traceable, revisable, and contestable.

Variational Quantum Rainbow Deep Q-Network for Optimizing Resource Allocation Problem

Resource allocation remains NP-hard due to combinatorial complexity. While deep reinforcement learning (DRL) methods, such as the Rainbow Deep Q-Network (DQN), improve scalability through prioritized replay and distributional heads, classical function approximators limit their representational power. We introduce Variational Quantum Rainbow DQN (VQR-DQN), which integrates ring-topology variational quantum circuits with Rainbow DQN to leverage quantum superposition and entanglement. We frame the human resource allocation problem (HRAP) as a Markov decision process (MDP) with combinatorial action spaces based on officer capabilities, event schedules, and transition times. On four HRAP benchmarks, VQR-DQN achieves 26.8% normalized makespan reduction versus random baselines and outperforms Double DQN and classical Rainbow DQN by 4.9-13.4%. These gains align with theoretical connections between circuit expressibility, entanglement, and policy quality, demonstrating the potential of quantum-enhanced DRL for large-scale resource allocation. Our implementation is available at: https://github.com/Analytics-Everywhere-Lab/qtrl/.

A language score based output selection method for multilingual speech recognition

The quality of a multilingual speech recognition system can be improved by adaptation methods if the input language is specified. For systems that can accept multilingual inputs, the popular approach is to apply a language identifier to the input then switch or configure decoders in the next step, or use one more subsequence model to select the output from a set of candidates. Motivated by the goal of reducing the latency for real-time applications, in this paper, a language model rescoring method is firstly applied to produce all possible candidates for target languages, then a simple score is proposed to automatically select the output without any identifier model or language specification of the input language. The main point is that this score can be simply and automatically estimated on-the-fly so that the whole decoding pipeline is more simple and compact. Experimental results showed that this method can achieve the same quality as when the input language is specified. In addition, we present to design an English and Vietnamese End-to-End model to deal with not only the problem of cross-lingual speakers but also as a solution to improve the accuracy of borrowed words of English in Vietnamese.
