Large Deviations for SPDEs of Jump Type

In this paper, we establish a large deviation principle for a fully non-linear stochastic evolution equation driven by both Brownian motions and Poisson random measures on a given Hilbert space $H$. The weak convergence method plays an important role.

Log-Harnack Inequality for Mild Solutions of SPDEs with Strongly Multiplicative Noise

Due to technical reasons, existing results concerning Harnack type inequalities for SPDEs with multiplicative noise apply only to the case where the coefficient in the noise term is an Hilbert-Schmidt perturbation of a fixed bounded operator. In this paper we investigate a class of semi-linear SPDEs with strongly multiplicative noise whose coefficient is even allowed to be unbounded which is thus no way to be Hilbert-Schmidt. Gradient estimates, log-Harnack inequality and applications are derived. Applications to stochastic reaction-diffusion equations driven by space-time white noise are presented.

Existence and uniqueness of invariant measures for SPDEs with two reflecting walls

In this article, we study stochastic partial differential equations with two reflecting walls, driven by space-time white noise with non-constant diffusion coefficients under periodic boundary conditions. The existence and uniqueness of invariant measures is established under appropriate conditions. The strong Feller property is also obtained.

Mixed Boundary Value Problems of Semilinear Elliptic PDEs and BSDEs with Singular Coefficients

In this paper, we prove that there exists a unique weak solution to the mixed boundary value problem for a general class of semilinear second order elliptic partial differential equations with singular coefficients. Our approach is probabilistic. The theory of Dirichlet forms and backward stochastic differential equations with singular coefficients and infinite horizon plays a crucial role.

Anticipating Stochastic 2D Navier-Stokes Equations

In this article, we consider the two-dimensional stochastic Navier-Stokes equation (SNSE) on a smooth bounded domain, driven by affine-linear multiplicative white noise and with random initial conditions and Dirichlet boundary conditions. The random initial condition is allowed to anticipate the forcing noise. Our main objective is to prove the existence of a solution to the SNSE under sufficient Malliavin regularity of the initial condition. To this end we employ anticipating calculus techniques.

Time-reversal and elliptic boundary value problems

In this paper, we prove that there exists a unique, bounded continuous weak solution to the Dirichlet boundary value problem for a general class of second-order elliptic operators with singular coefficients, which does not necessarily have the maximum principle. Our method is probabilistic. The time reversal of symmetric Markov processes and the theory of Dirichlet forms play a crucial role in our approach.

Global flows for stochastic differential equations without global Lipschitz conditions

We consider stochastic differential equations driven by Wiener processes. The vector fields are supposed to satisfy only local Lipschitz conditions. The Lipschitz constants of the drift vector field, valid on balls of radius $R$, are supposed to grow not faster than $\log R$, while those of the diffusion vector fields are supposed to grow not faster than $\sqrt{\log R}.$ We regularize the stochastic differential equations by associating with them approximating ordinary differential equations obtained by discretization of the increments of the Wiener process on small intervals. By showing that the flow associated with a regularized equation converges uniformly to the solution of the stochastic differential equation, we simultaneously establish the existence of a global flow for the stochastic equation under local Lipschitz conditions.

Anticipating Reflected Stochastic Differential Equations

In this paper, we establish the existence of the solutions $ (X, L)$ of reflected stochastic differential equations with possible anticipating initial random variables. The key is to obtain some substitution formula for Stratonovich integrals via a uniform convergence of the corresponding Riemann sums.

The Stable Manifold Theorem for Semilinear Stochastic Evolution Equations and Stochastic Partial Differential Equations I: The Stochastic Semiflow

The main objective of this work is to characterize the pathwise local structure of solutions of semilinear stochastic evolution equations (see's) and stochastic partial differential equations (spde's) near stationary solutions. Such characterization is realized through the long-term behavior of the solution field near stationary points. The analysis falls in two parts I, II. In Part I (this paper), we prove a general existence and compactness theorem for $C^k$-cocycles of semilinear see's and spde's. Our results cover a large class of semilinear see's as well as certain semilinear spde's with non-Lipschitz terms such as stochastic reaction diffusion equations and the stochastic Burgers equation with additive infinite-dimensional noise. In Part II of this work ([M-Z-Z]), we establish a local stable manifold theorem for non-linear see's and spde's.

The Stable Manifold Theorem for Semilinear Stochastic Evolution Equations and Stochastic Partial Differential Equations II: Existence of stable and unstable manifolds

This article is a sequel to [M.Z.Z.1] aimed at completing the characterization of the pathwise local structure of solutions of semilinear stochastic evolution equations (see's) and stochastic partial differential equations (spde's) near stationary solutions. Stationary solution are viewed as random points in the infinite-dimensional state space, and the characterization is expressed in terms of the almost sure long-time behavior of trajectories of the equation in relation to the stationary solution. More specifically, we establish local stable manifold theorems for semilinear see's and spde's (Theorems 4.1-4.4). These results give smooth stable and unstable manifolds in the neighborhood of a hyperbolic stationary solution of the underlying stochastic equation. The stable and unstable manifolds are stationary, live in a stationary tubular neighborhood of the stationary solution and are asymptotically invariant under the stochastic semiflow of the see/spde. The proof uses infinite-dimensional multiplicative ergodic theory techniques and interpolation arguments (Theorem 2.1).

Stochastic differential equtions with non-lipschitz coefficients:II. Dependence with respect to initial values

The existence of the unique strong solution for a class of stochastic differential equations with non-Lipschitz coefficients was established recently. In this paper, we shall investigate the dependence with respect to the initial values. We shall prove that the non confluence of solutions holds under our general conditions. To obtain a continuous version, the modulus of continuity of coefficients is assumed to be less than $\dis |x-y|\log{1\over|x-y|}$. In this case, it will give rise to a flow of homeomorphisms if the coefficients are compactly supported.

Convergence of symmetric diffusions on Wiener spaces

We prove convergence of symmetric diffusions on Wiener spaces by using stopping times arguments and capacity techniques. The drifts of the diffusions can be singular, we require the densities of the processes to be neither bounded from above nor away from zero.
